3-0 out of 5 stars BAD CALL VOLUME but great design
This really is the best designed phone on the market......camera is great (but no flash, which I found out is kinda important). All the other features are great.BUt again as previously mentioned CALL VOLUME SUCKS BIG TIME.Ringer volume is not very loud to hear ringing in the pocket either.I actually ended up sitting on the phone (was in the back pocket) and cracked the screen 1 month after getting it.Guess Im destined for a clamshell design. I really like rollover minute with cingular, and world phone/GSM capability (crucial if you travel), but I really think Verizon has better coverage (where Im at anyway).Im thinking about switching back, but Im defintitely getting rid of this phone.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great phone at a great price
The phone feels lightweight, but solid.I have previously had a Nokia and a Sony-Erickson, which did the basics, but this phone has a lot of nice features. The slider feature is very nice and helps prevent keys from being pushed without the need to lock them. The camera does 1280 x 1024 pictures (1.3 megapixel) which is more than enough for a photo printer doing 5 x 7s.It also does video (at 15 frames per second which is 1/2 of regular video). The mp3 player is simple enough, works with the phone closed and can read from either the built in memory or a micro-SD card which can be inserted in the side. The only downside to the music player is that the audio files are limited to 128 kbps (which sounds fine) and the file names need to be no longer than 32 characters.Given the choice, I would certainly buy this phone again (especially since it was free with a [...]mail-in rebate).

3-0 out of 5 stars Not for the faint of hearing.
This phone is attractive and packed with some neat technology. It's a very pretty toy, but not a good phone. Read and take heed to what others have said about the call volume. There is none! The highest setting of 5, would be the mid point at best, for any other good phone.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great features, great phone
This is definitely Sony Ericsson's best effort. The phone does everything you would expect a phone to do and plays music, too.Battery life is exceptional, signal strength and call quality our superior to many phones I have owned.Bundled software is easy to install and use to transfer music.
4-0 out of 5 stars My first Sony Ericsson, A Review from a Nokia Fanboy
My previous phone was a Nokia 6600. It had a slow interface for 2006 and come on, I wanted to try somethingn new.Initially, I had planned on exploring my chances of buying a Treo but due to the rates, I gave up my plan. Without much pondering, I went and purchased a Sony Ericsson W810i. Now, it's been four months. Let me just give you a brief run thru of features, pros and cons.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great Phone!
This phone is almost perfect. Still good enough to give 5 stars.

1-0 out of 5 stars WARNING to Existing Verizon Customers
I bought this phone with a one-year plan.I had an existing month-to-month plan with Verizon.Amazon assured me that although I would get a new phone number with the new phone, a simple call to Verizon would get my existing cell phone number switched to the new phone.

5-0 out of 5 stars More than just a cellphone
I've had around 6 different cellphones in about 4 years and I wouldn't change this one for anything in this world. The sound is clear and loud. So far I've dropped it like 1'000 times and still works like when I bought it. Oh, And It's being inside the toilet too. Thinking about getting a new cellphone? This is an excellent choice. Stylish, great performance and it'll make you look good for sure. Enjoy!

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Phone
First I should say that when I first got this phone I wished I had gotten a Razr like some members of my family. A flip phone I could just shove in my pocket with the tiny outboard screen and larger buttons really seemed more what I wanted, but after a couple of weeks I wouldn't trade. I really like this phone.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great Phone-itunes messed it up
First of all, this phone does everything very well. Plus it looks great! A forewarning is to buy it at Best Buy so you can transfer your old number over and you can see the phone and play with it to see if it really is for you, but this phone has great features for everyone. It has an average camera as you expect on most normal phones theese days. It's battery life is great lasts a few days with moderate usage. The itunes is a great feature, but apple is greedy and limited the itunes to 100 songs so they could sell more ipods. This has nothing to do with the phone just a bad buiseness decision, but still plenty of songs to have with you. It comes with an itunes cd, usb cable, headphones with a mic, and a headphone adapter for regular headphones. Also the reception with cingular is as good as it gets, at least where I live. The other cool features include picture ID and special ringtones for each contact entry, an easy way to identify when your family, or your best friend, is calling you. Text messaging with this phone is great. It has a autofill feature so you dont need to enter entire words. And the buttons, although small, are designed so that it is hard to press two at a time. One last thing, the screen is amazing. I bought tetris and the 24 (Fox TV show) game and the graphics are impressive for a phone. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent phone with a few minuses
Been using this for about a week now, here's what I came up with.
5-0 out of 5 stars Finally! A Blackberry for Me!
I have always been inticed by the blackberry line of phones. How they could do everything, browse the web, IM, Email and so on. But none have ever worked for me because they were huge. I tried a 8700c, but that wasnt the phone. I liked the keyboard, but it was huge. I also tried the 7130c, which was better, but was still to thick and felt weird to use next to my Razr. I waited and waited and almost gave up, but RIM finally came through on this phenominal device.
5-0 out of 5 stars A Blackberry for Everyone
I have now owned this phone for three days, coming off a one-year relationship with a Cingular Blackberry 8700c. The 8700c is more of your traditional Blackberry; when it was released, the folks at RIM gave it a more hip appearance while maintaining the business as usual status quo of all Blackberries. With the Blackberry 8100 "Pearl," RIM has taken another huge step towards making hip phones for the masses, and especially younger people.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best cell phone I've owned
I've had this phone for about 1 1/2 weeks and it's been great. I almost switched from Verizon because of dropped calls with my last two phones (most recently a Samsung SCH-A670), but so far I have had no problems at all with this one. I've really enjoyed playing around with the extra features (music, videos, wallpapers), especially with the help of Bitpim. The camera is excellent for a cellphone--much better than my old Samsung. My only complaints are that it's a little bigger than I would like (probably because of the built-in stereo speakers) and that there's no "vibrate and then ring" feature (but I was able to solve that by adding a few seconds of silence to my ringtone and then uploading it to the phone). Also, it took a little work to get the "Music Essentials Kit" to work, but thanks to some tips I found on the web it's fine now.

5-0 out of 5 stars Love IT!
I just got this phone in the mail today. In less than 5 minutes from opening the box I had the phone activated and called a friend. If you know how to use and activate phones it's very easy to start using the phone. I Love the menus, options etc. Overall, I can see I'm going to love it way more than the phone I upgraded from, which was two years old, and I loved that phone too!

3-0 out of 5 stars The manual stinks
I just got the phone today and it's taking me forever to set it up.The manual doesn't give the correct directions. It doesn't have a quick reference to use voice dialing. I had to look it up on-line.I put the cd in and it doesn't give me the option to ask me if I want to start, pause, or exit so I had to reboot my computer(at work).

3-0 out of 5 stars Touch Screen develops dead spots...
I bought my MDA 8 months ago and immediately used protector sheets on the screen, bought the nice holder for it...in short took care of it.It recently started acting up and developing a dead spot right in the middle of the touch screen (you can see, but you can't select things in the dead spot). The biggest thing is not being able to change the times for appointments, since you can only do it in its small window that sits under the same blind spot.Luckily, I'm using the one year warranty and returning it to T-mobile in exchange for another one.
2-0 out of 5 stars Amazon policy misleading
This phone will not reliably connect to any Wi-Fi hotspots, and the ActiveSynch program renders my computer unusable. Beware of the Amazon "return" policy. It is return only, and if you get a family plan, it is return both phones only, you cannot exchange, and their customer service is very poor.

3-0 out of 5 stars Warning
I bought the MDA to replace my aging and worn Sidekick II about 2 months ago.
