Slimmest, Stylish Phone (Lacks some useful features)
A first look at this phone and you will be tempted to buy it. However, it makes a lot of sense to go through all that it offers and make the buying decision simply because there is a choice of variety of phones available on the market in the similar category.
Early observations with t519 Trace
Early Negatives:
decent phone, but definitely room for improvements

MSN Support
When I purchased my Blackberry 8700G, I was told that I could receive my email from MSN. It worked a couple of months, and then all of a sudden I couldn't receive emails. I spent 10 hours on the phone trying to get this resolved, and was finally told that T-Mobile didn't support receiving emails from MSN...even though that is what the saleslady told me. I asked to have the device replaced with one that I could receive emails and was told by T-Mobile that they couldn't do that. So now, I'm stuck with a $300 device that won't perform as it was sold to me. Be aware... I've been a customer since 2000 and they won't even try to accommodate me, even though they weren't truthful when they sold me the product.
Indispensably Intuitive
The Blackberry 8700g is a dream come true.Lightweight, incredibly intuitive, this phone has lightening fast email (even from the subway system in NY), the organizer linked right up with Microsoft Outlook, and the screen is easy to read even in the brightest sun.The keyboard is perfectly sized and the bluetooth and speakerphone round out the experience. As a performer, I'm constantly away from my home and office...this little puppy keeps me connected and organized during the day, so I don't have so much catching up to do when I get home. And the quad band phone will keep me connected when touring overseas. T-Mobile customer service the best I've encountered.
Could be better
It's very handy for email.

can use only one hand!
I had a stroke a little over one year. I have to have a phone thats easy to opperate with one hand. light.I have to have a phone all the time. safty issues!! I love this phone. some nice things like a camera to take pictures and a voice recorder.
This phone is awful
This is, by far, the WORST phone I have ever owned!I've only had it for 5 months and already the battery is worn out and it is starting to malfunction.VERY disappointed!I will NEVER buy a motorola again!Don't waste your money on this garbage!I will stick to the LG brand, as I am going to have to shell out major $ for a new phone.BUYERS BEWARE!
HELLO MOTO!!!!!
I purchased this phone from my local T-Mobile store along with an Unlimited Nights/Weekends/1000 Whenever Minutes plan and I must say, I am very impressed. The phone is beautiful and thin, and although this phone has been available for a long time now, I still can't get over how thin it is.Reception is great, and compared side by side to my old Samsung x475(T-Mobile, same network as the RAZR), the RAZR always wins on the reception.Where my Samsung gets 1 bar to no service in my room where I am typing this from, the RAZR gets a steady 3 bars, sometimes 2 but it never goes below that.On my old samsung, calls sounded weak and the audio would clip a lot, sometimes the call would even get dropped.I have yet to see my new RAZR drop calls. The screen on this phone is beautiful, or at least the main screen. The front screen on the outside of the phone is color but it seriously lacks contrast and color saturation. However, for an external screen, it does just fine. This phone also has bluetooth and has worked flawlessly with my bluetooth headset.I have also been able to send pictures taken with the RAZR's camera to my friend's camera-less phone via bluetooth. If you are looking for an affordable, stylish, bluetooth-rocking cell phone, this is the one.

Different pinks with different carriers
I recently got this phone and love it.T-mobile's service may not be the best, but I have had no problems with the phone itself. For all the people saying that it isn't really magenta-It is.The pink razr offered by Cingular is a pale pink, the t-mobile phone is the hot pink magenta shown.I looked at them at bestbuy before buying and saw that the different carriers have different shades.
Love the phone, hate the battery life!
Having had every new gadget imaginable I must report that I LOVE this phone because I can take pictures and make videos! I LOATHE having to charge the battery everyday! Perhaps I just got a bad battery but I've NEVER had to charge any phone daily. Keep in mind that I leave my phone on 24/7. Maybe I should turn it off. Does anyone else have this same syndrome?
HATED IT
I actually went through three of these phones. Each one that I had would just turn off in the middle of a call...not just drop the call I mean the phone shuts off! Then I would try and start it again, no go! So I had to take the battery out of the phone put it all back together and then restart it. Half of the time it would start and say invalid battery and I would start the entire process over again. I complained so much to Tmobile that they exchanged it for a Motorola V360 which has all the same features, except BETTER reception and an MP3 player.I wouldnt reccommend this phone to anyone....p.s. My husband has the silver one and the same thing happend to his!

Good phone with a couple drawbacks
First off, this phone is very thin and light. It is hardly noticeable in my pocket and has a cool design. I have tried the 1.3 megapixel camera and am pleased with how it functions in comparrison to my previous phone the Motorola V360. The calls seem clear, the signal is strong and it has been pretty reliable.
Thin and Lightweight
I upgraded from my Motorola V180 to this camera phone because I upgraded my plan to have the myfaves feature. My review is a little comparison to my old phone considering this is my first Samsung phone.
A sleek improvement on the T609, but... where's microSD?
I held back from buying a Samsung T609, knowing that this phone would soon be released. The functions are almost identical, and the new form doesn't disappoint - sleek, thin, yet feels sturdy and works great. However, they took out the microSD memory expansion slot! Why the tradeoff, Samsung?Beware if you're looking to use its MP3 functionality or to make good use of its 1.3MP camera: with only its 21MB of internal memory at your disposal, it won't hold much.

This is by far the worst phone i have ever owned
Where to begin...
Great Phone
Does everything it is supposed to.I had no problem transferring two accounts from Verizon to the T-Mobile PEBLs I purchased from Amazon.Bluetooth works great with a bluetooth hands free wired-in car kit I had installed.
Had to return this phone
I made the mistake of accepting the Motorola PEBL when my mobile phone contract was renewed a few months ago and I was up for a new phone. The sales person assured me this was the best phone, latest model, etc etc.Two weeks later I had to go back to the telephone company and return the phone: the bluetooth feature wasn't working, I could not pick my voice mail, it would ring sometimes and sometimes not, and when they transferred the contacts from the old phone to this one, they lost half of my numbers. It is the worst phone I have ever owned. After that, I found out other people I knew had had the same problems with the PEBL and had to return it also. The phone company traded the PEBL for a Nokia, which is a far better phone.

God I wish it worked better
This is a sleek little phone that I wish so very much would work better.I had it for two weeks. Most of the time it worked fine, however, sometimes I would go to pick it up off the counter where it had been sitting for hours and it would give me an error if I tried to push any buttons or make any calls. It would need to be restarted before it stopped doing this.Other times the screen would just go bright white and stay that way until I powered down the phone.
I HATE THIS PHONE!!!!
After going through 2 Razr phones T-mobile offered me this phone as a replacement and I took it cause my warranty on the Razr was almost up and I would get a year warrenty with the T509... you couldn't PAY me enough to keep this phone for an entire year!

Disclaimer: This review only pertains to the Cingular version.A friend of mine has Verizon's and none of these criticisms apply; it's like a completely different phone.
Cool look, but that's about it
After all the hype, I decided to get a Razr. I was surprised that it wasn't cooler. I'm not sure what I expected it to do, but it's a phone, not a super hero.
SIMPLY THE BEST
This is simply the best cellphone I have ever seen.It was a Father's Day gift for my son, and he is in love with the phone! When he lets me use the phone, I have been amazed. The speakerphone and ringer are so loud that I had to turn them down.I live in Miami, and my phone needed one of those universal antenna to get 3 or 4 bars signal. The RAZR gets 4 or 5 bars signal almost everytime, and I never lost a call or the signal anywhere. The phone is so slim that I have forgotten it was in my pocket, and it is going to take him months to learn ALL of its features! There are so many accessories, games and services for the V3 RAZR that I feel lucky for my son to have one WITHOUT having yet another monthly bill.Simply amazing phone...

Great phone; no complaints except for headphone plug...
This is a very nice phone and does a lot of things. It is very small and easy to carry. It's a very practical phone for most people, although it does not sync to Outlook (I don't think anyway). The nice thing about this phone is that it's a good phone, first and foremost. Good reception, decent battery life. I like all the apps it can run, like Alarm Clock, and Calculator, Voice Memos. Have not used the voice recognition yet, but I just got a BT headset for use in the car, so I think I'll start using voice with that.
Some design flaws; positive features not dicsussed here.
About the internal antenna. (This is an important point if you use the phone in areas with low signal levels.) The phone does not have a sticking-out antenna. In general, that's a bad sign: the signal reception may be worse. However, I compared the reception and signal levels to my older Motorola V66 (made in 2002) which has a sticking-out antenna, and Samsung was on par. After that, I decided not to return the phone.
Good for Samsung, Bad for you
I bought this as a follow up to the Nokia 6600 that I had for two years. It was a great phone albeit a little bulky, but it was very reliable.

Can't find anything better than a Nokia...
I have had 4 Nokia phones in the past and was looking for an upgrade on my 6010 that I've had for the last 3 years and was determined on getting something other than a Nokia this time around. After doing research on other phones, like Samsung and Motorola, I eventually bought another Nokia. I came pretty close to getting the Motorola RAZR, but the many negative reviews that I read combined with my brother-in-law saying that he would stay away from anything Motorola made me think twice about it. I have now had my 6103 for almost a month and I am happy with it. I haven't had any problems yet, such as scratching and breaking or any peeling of the rubber that other reviewers have mentioned. I have never had a flip phone before so durability was a concern. So far the only thing I have noticed is that the flip seems to get a little looser over time, likely from normal wear and tear.
Another really good Nokia phone, as expected.
I think Nokia makes great phones, very reliable and durable. My last phone was a Nokia 6610 that I had for 2.5 years! While my friends with Motorolas and Samsungs had to shell out another $200 every year because their phones would break..... If you've had a Nokia before, the menus/features are similar pretty much. This one has a few extras: camera/video and Bluetooth. Had the phone for 2 weeks. Here's what I've observed thus far:
it's okay but several negatives
Overall the phone is pretty good most of the time, the picture quality is fine and I love that feature, but I'm disappointed about the following:the outside material is peeling off (have only had it a few months, and I take good care of it) as other buyers have mentioned. When I want the ringer set to "silent", I have to go thru several steps rather than just one click as other phones can do.I also wish the back-light would stay on longer.I've had some dropped calls, especially when dialing. It wasn't easy finding a car charger for it, until I found out it can use the same one as for model 6102.Now I'm trying to find a case or cover to prevent the outside material from peeling more...

Perfect to a "T"-Blackberry 7105T Tops!
I have written many reviews on cell phones here on Amazon. I used to be a Nextel subscriber, but have been with Tmobile about six months.
So - so phone, pretty good PDA
I've had the BB 7105 about 5 months now and am looking for a replacement already. I primarily got it for business purposes...ie syncing contacts and calender. Besides some error message issues that still haven't been resolved the microphone on this unit absolutely sucks. If you have ANY ambient background noise people on the other end have a really hard time understanding you. Not good for a business traveller.
Yawn
I've had more cellphones than I have fingers.Yes I'm technologically literate and in my twenties.I bought this phone back in march/april.. loved it back then.Hate it now.

One phone has it all!
This is truly one phone in the market which has almost everything you could want in terms of features and new technology. It is a mini pda with bluetooth, Wi-fi, mp3 player and camera and they all work perfectly. You can use Wi-fi anywhere without subscribing to any additional services. You can sync your contacts, calender etc. using activesync which just takes seconds to install. I've also tried the Mp3 player by putting a 1 GB mini sd card in the phone and using the latest Windows media player and the activesync, downloading songs on the phone was a breeze and the quality is great. The battery life is very good considering all that this phone does. It is also fairly light and small with a very sharp display. The only con for me were the small buttons, but, I didn't want to take away a star for that because of the overall value of this phone. If you don't require afull fledged pda phone, you cannot go wrong with this one so give it a shot!
takes a bit of getting used to, but overall a great phone
I was looking for a candybar phone only, and researched a great deal over this phone and compared it with the MDA.This phone takes a bit of time to get used to, especially with the keys, the keys are indeed quite very small but if you can get over that, you would really like this phone.
