5-0 out of 5 stars I like it...
This phone fits the description that Sprint has on it's website to a tee. It's compact, functional, minimalistic and user-friendly.Nice little cell for anyone who's just looking for a simple cell phone.

4-0 out of 5 stars It's Justa Cellular
This is my second Samsung cellular in four years(SPH-N300 was the first).I just got it and I am pleased with it despite all the bad ratings I have read.It is very inexpensive.I paid $19.99 and reactivated my Sprint account.Excellent for what Ibasically want to do;place and receive calls. All those other"Home Entertainment-Laptop-Cameras-Web-Games" features some folks want are found in bigger and more expensive cellulars. The Samsung A-560 is a very basic cellular designed just for communication.Nothing else.

1-0 out of 5 stars Worst phone I've ever had
I've had five different phones so far, and this is the worst. This phone is not easy to communicate with as people always tell me they can't hear me and I have trouble hearing people with it as well.My voice constantly goes out or gets faint to other people, and when I am having conversations, the phone will randomly start to echo, so that I can't understand anything. With all my previous phones, this happened rarely, versus with this phone, it is every day.

1-0 out of 5 stars Sensitive But Not To Bright
The 4900 was a far superior phone. The 4920 display cannot be viewed in sunlight (you cannot even tell the phone is active). The push buttons frequently require a second try/entry.The optimum sensitivity for the pushbuttons is when the phone is in a pocket . . . the buttons always seem to work. The Hold Functions (back key) requires pressing and holding twice. To undo the hold function one needs to push and hold twice or place the phone in your pocket to activate.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great solid phone, great performance.
I don't know why, but I was thinking of buying a new phone today just because I like the cool looks of some of the newer phones, but after researching for a while, I think I'll stick with this phone.I've had it about 14 months and have never regretted my purchase for even one minute. That's 14 continuous months of great service, great battery life, everything has been perfect.I use the phone for about 2,000 or more minutes a month and signal is awesome, battery life is spectacular...I'd be stupid to take a chance just for a "better looking" phone. This phone is really all I need, so screw it...I'll keep it til it breaks some day! A+++++++

5-0 out of 5 stars this phone is awesome
I had this phone over a year now, I drop it many times and I mean many...many times... the battery comes flying out...there are dents here and there but the phone works great. Its a sturdy phone. The only thing is my phone is all scratched up. I had numerous phones and carriers in the past and this phone is diffinitely one of the best. I recommend it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great phone
I first got my 4500 (blue) back in April of 2004. The battery life is excellent. i love every bit about my phone!! BUT i think i want one of those new PDAs!!! ;)
1-0 out of 5 stars Terrible Power
I have had this phone now for 17 months and it has been a problem since day one... the battery does not hold a charge!I am forced to charge my phone at least once a day, even if I don't use it.Overall, the phone is not worth the cost with less expensive alternatives a much more worthwhile investment. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Value for the price, but some glaring weaknesses too
Since it's often been one of the 1-cent or no cost phones available with Nextel plans, you can hardly beat the price for entry to the world of cell phone ownership.BUT, you may find the annoyances of using the i205 significant.
1-0 out of 5 stars Pick Nextel and You'll have 1-2 years of pain, misery & nashing of teeth!
Besides having the walkie-talkie which is publically annoying, the customer service is terrible and they should be ashamed of themselves.Pick another service while you can get out alive.I am stuck until Aug 06 . . . God help me!

1-0 out of 5 stars Warranty? What warranty?
I had been very happy with my Motorola phone until the battery started losing its charge within a day, even when the phone was turned off. The friendly but incompetent customer support kept me on the phone for an average of 40 minutes for the repeated calls trying to figure out the problem. After the phone had finally been sent to their technical service center, they returned it to me that the phone was irreperable "due to customer abuse." I have done nothing to that phone that could have caused any damage (unless using it to make phone calls counts as "customer abuse"), but got the same comment, without explanation after I had sent the phone in for a second time for reevaluation. It seems that Motorola is just trying to get out of fixing or replacing the phone free of charge under warranty. You'll be fine with a Motorola phone as long as it works. After that, you're on your own. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Satisfactory phone
I've had mine for a little over one year now. It's held up well to abuse from throwing it around, etc., but it's showing seriously irritating signs of use now. Using the keypad is especially frustrating. Many of the buttons register two presses for every one time that I press them. I'm constantly backspacing! I'm currently shopping around for a replacement.

1-0 out of 5 stars The phone battery drains very quickly
The phone battery drains very quickly, the problem may be is with the Sprint service and not with the phone, cause I used the same phone with a GSM service and the battery lasted for approx 3-5 days and now the abttery lasts barely for a day(with a talk time of 15-30 mins).
4-0 out of 5 stars Not bad but didn't stand up to tough wear
I have been a long time customer of Nokia and have tried other brands but Nokia is the only brand that really gives consistently good service I can count on. I got a pair of these phones - one for me and one for my son. And had the same strengths and weaknesses with both. As far as the noise it makes when it takes photos - you can change the sound so that it is silent if you prefer. The camera doesn't take expremely clear photos but honestly about half of the camera phones I have seen have the same problem with not devoting enough pixel space - it's a camera phone. I really like the reliability of service though. Battery lasted a really long time and didn't have a problem with missed messages or dropped calls like I'd had with other phones. The big problem was - it did not stand up to the tough beating both me and my son put a cell phone through. ONly lasted about a year before the connective case started to fall apart, the on off switch stopped working, the face got scratched...the mechanics are great but the outer components are way too fragile unless you buy a case or are a very careful gentle person.

4-0 out of 5 stars Okay little phone for the price
I like my little Nokia PM. When I went to buy it I just wanted the cheapest phone that was a little better than my LG I was using. I had my land phone cut off because people only call on my cell phone. I was going to get the plain Nokia but this one was on sale for just 10.00 more. My college age kid has the Sanyo 8200 and I won't lie her camera is fantastic because it zooms and has a flash but for an extra 10.00 I always have a camera handy and most of my pics have come out pretty decent. They always look better once they are on my PC. I haven't used the radio on the phone. I didn't get it for that purpose but I have the headset. Sprint's been decent to me and I got this in the Sprint store so for the price it is a good deal. Cell phones are just so expensive now due to all of the gadgets. This is a good basic phone. Don't expect expensive phone reception or expensive phone camera options when you are paying the bare minimum for a cell phone. I give it an A.It serves my purpose. Has my phone book in it and I don't lose calls like I did on my old LG phone. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Review about actual phone
Compared to other phones on the market and the price, this phone doesn't offer much in the "extra feature" department. No camera, no MP3 player, etc. The only reason I bought it is it was black, looked sporty, had a color display, and the key pad was well designed/illuminated.If that is what you're looking for, wait, there's more...unfortunately after one year, my LCD screen will NOT turn off and stays illuminated 24/7.As a result, not only does my battery die FAST, but my sub LCD screen (the small one on the outter shell) doesn't turn on.And I can not view time/date/caller id without openning the phone. And of course fixing this costs more than the phone itself. That was on my phone's 1 year anniversary.Another 2 months later, the charger hardware is screwy too! When I plug in the charger, it goes in and out of charging. It's not the charger either, as my husband uses the same charger for his phone (different model) without problems.I however need to charge my phone 2X a day!Ridiculous!I paid $250 for this phone with only a year of problem free use...that just doesn't seem fair to consumers. The response I get is you should've bought insurance!!!!How about you should manufacture better products!Shouldn't these higher ticket items (especially laptops) offer longer warranty periods?

5-0 out of 5 stars No frilly teeny bopper features...
I do landscaping and my previous phone was too frail to take out the truck when I was working so I needed a tougher phone. I checked the website of the company I was with (I won't say the name but it rhymes w/ dingular) for such of phone to no avail. If I wanted one I could download the latest video from some nitwit celebrity they had me covered but anything practical was not there. Then I saw and advert for this phone and it has worked great. One review here complains of its size. If you want water resistant and shockproof what do you expect...a razr? I think not. If you want the protection, it is certainly going to be in a bigger package so expect a hardier phone. Again so far, I am very pleased to have a phone I can WORK with and not be in mortal fear of damaging it.

1-0 out of 5 stars Something That Fell Out Of The 80's
This phone would be great if it was 1980. The size of this beast is huge. Actually it is even bigger than my cordless house phone. It does not come with any type of holster or carrying device. I guess they felt the extra 50 pounds for a holster might be a turn off. The buttons are very hard to push and way to small considering the size of this grandfather clock of a phone and very hard on the fingers. The menus are sub tree devided. To get to a feature, you have to go through a maze and hope you find what you are looking for. It comes with 4 'getting started' manuals but each one tells you nothing other than to check back to page 28 for more details, only to go to page 28 and read that you will learn about this feature on page 70? I would not recommend this peice of crap to anyone. It has a true Fisher Price design but it weighs much more than a child could possibly carry. ... Read more

This phone has several problems. I have had to exchange mine twice. One of the biggest problems is, when you have the phone set so that it answers a call the second you open it up, you have to say "hello" 3 times before the caller hears you.The phone gets very hot when you are talking and the battery does not last as long as the manufacturer says it does. And 9 times out of 10 the phone will drop your call if you touch the antenna while you are talking. It is also hard to hear the caller if you hold the phone too close to your face. And lastly, Sanyo has no real tech support person that you can call. The way it works is, you tell them you have a problem and they call you back in 24 to 48 hours with simple solutions like "have you tried turning the phone off and then back on again?".I highly recommend not bothering with this one. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Actually about the phone!
I upgraded to this phone from the i205.So far I am happy overall with the phone itself, but some of the "extras" are annoying. The Sleep Mode, where the screen goes dark, bugs me to no end.I keep thinking my phone is off, when it is not.And you can't attach a picture to a persons name in your phone so that it pops up when they call (unless I just haven't discovered how to do it.I read the manual cover to cover). The camera takes nice pics (haven't figured out how to zoom in, if I can). The non standatd ringtones that come with the phone (3 of em) are ok.2 are not quite loud enough (but very cool) and the 3rd is just really loud.I like the "Disco Lights", it catches your attention if you don't hear the ring.Music sound quality is very good, if you like music ringtones.Navigaiting the menus took a little getting used to, but I am getting to like it.You can personalize each button, which I thought was neat.At first, when I talked on the phone, it sounded like people were at the end of a tunnel.I think that is a result of digitizing the signal. You get used to it quickly. The screen is bright (except when in bright sunlight) and you can change the palatte colors. The games, Tetris and Bowling are pretty good, but Tetris is demo only. The standard battery doesn't last quite as long as expected.I had to recharge it the first day after the inital 12 hour charge.New toy, had to play with it!It does seem to get used up pretty quickly, but the phone is doing a lot of stuff, even when it is just sitting there.I would recommend getting the more powerful battery available for this phone if you use it a lot everyday. For me, it is fine to charge every couple of days or so.I don't make a ton of calls.I like it and am glad I upgraded.
2-0 out of 5 stars Warranty?

5-0 out of 5 stars No competition
DO NOT let Mr. Hugh's comments above influence your decision about Nextel. He evidently didn't do his homework before he purchased the phone. Ever complaint he had could be had with any phone company if they didn't have service in your area. Nextel can't help it if he lives in some God-forsaken place out in no-where.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not very good, connectivity very poor
You can put many pictures on the phone but there's no way to transfer them off without using Sprint Internet service. Same with Ringtone downloads and software upgrades. Can't use the bluetooth connection on the phone for much of anything useful except wireless headphone. Audio connection over bluetooth was extremely scratchy and noisy, unuseable.

1-0 out of 5 stars Didn't even last 3 weeks
This phone lasted only 3 weeks before it would no longer power on. Even before that I wasn't crazy about the phone. I didn't like the location of the speaker phone button. I was always hitting it by accident and locking the keys shouldn't be required in my mind.

3-0 out of 5 stars A few drawbacks, otherwise a good phone.
I got my A460 for several days. It looks good and feels comfortable in hand. It has all the features listed in the website. Voice call quality generally is good. I can hear the other party clearly and other peoples have no complains about my voice. The speakerphone works nice in quiet environment. In noise environment or if both party speak simutaniously echobuilds up occasionally , but it's OK most of the time.

1-0 out of 5 stars I530-AWEFUL!!!!
MY HUSBAND BOUGHT THE NEXTEL I530 A YEAR AGO. WHEN WE LIVED IN PHILADELPHIA, HE GOT GOOD RECEPTION, ETC. NOW HIS PHONE SHUTS OFF WHEN HE TALKING TO SOMEONE, NO ONE CAN REACH HIM BECAUSE A MESSAGE COMES ON SAYING "PLEASE HOLD WHILE WE TRY TO CONTACT THIS NEXTEL SUBSCRIBER." HE DOESN'T GET RECEPTION IN CHALFONT, PLYMOUTH MEETING, AND SOME AREA OF PHILADELPHIA. MY HUSBAND TOOK IT TO CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR THE 4TH TIME NOW AND THE GUY TOLD HIM ALOT OF PEOPLE HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS PHONE. MOTOROLA STOPPED MAKING IT. HE HAS ALSO LOST ALOT OF BUSINESS WITH THIS PHONE BECAUSE NO ONE CAN GET THROUGH. HIM AND I BOTH GOT NEW UPGRADED PHONES AND WE LOVE THEM. JUST SO YOU KNOW, I530 STINKS!!!!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Get a free unlocked Motorola RAZR v3i instead!
Why settle for less, or commit yourself to a specific cellular provider and service plan, when you can get a complimentary unlocked top of the line Motorola RAZR v3i cell phone that works with any cellular service provider and any SIM card. I got mine free at this web site:stuffgratis.biz/razrv3i

4-0 out of 5 stars Tough but basic
I bought this phone knowing it didn't have many extras. It is great for what it is.I've always gotten a great signal and sound quality, everyone says it sounds like a landline phone when I talk to them on it, and it's sturdy as can be.There was even a time when I fell at Oktoberfest and landed right on it, but it was no worse for it.My contract is up so I'm getting another phone with more toys on it (camera, mp3 player, etc.), but I can't say anything bad about this phone other than that the battery seems to wear down faster than other phones I have had.If you need a tough phone with a good signal and don't need any toys on it, this one is great! ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Battery Won't Hold Charge
My battery will not hold more than one bar(if lucky) unless I spend half my day plugging and fiddling with wire.Problem onset was at about 13th month. Now i need a new phone but would rather remedy the issue if possible.

1-0 out of 5 stars Won't charge period!
I have had this p hone for 9 months, and know someone else who had it for 9 months with this same problem. When plugging in the phone to charge it beeps like its plugging in then 5 minutes later it will beep as if I am un plugging it.Come morning my phone battery hasn't even charged period. So now they are sending me a new phone sinces its still on its warranty.Nonetheless its really annoying!

5-0 out of 5 stars Not too shabby.
A phone that finally offers a color variety. It's nice to take a vacation from the plain silver phones that everyone has. This is a phone that's compatible with almost any lifestyle. Whether you're a working adult or a playful kid. The Sanyo MM-8200 has everything needed, plus more. It includes a built-in camera with a flash; a large, square LCD that allows easy reading; easy-to-read graphics; and helpful add-ins such as the R-Link walkie-talkie system. Overall, it's a great phone, and well-worth the money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Sounds Great, Looks Great, Easy to Use
Even a technologically unsavvy person like myself finds it easy to use the dozens of features on this phone. The speaker phone is very convenient; every person who calls can be assigned their own unique musical ringer; and little things like the calculator and the alarm clock can really come in handy.Sprint PCS has by far the clearest reception of any cell phone network.I have never had a problem hearing people even when I have called from the remotest of places in out-of-the-way corners of the country. My wife and I bought the red and green models six months ago, and we have not had a single complaint about the phones or the service.I was a little skeptical at first about spending so much money on a phone, but the clear reception and numerous easy-to-use features make this product well worth it.
