4-0 out of 5 stars i500
I really like this phone, although sometimes I wish more of its functions could be operated without the stylus, for when I am trying to one-hand it in the car or something. The quick buttons are great because you can assign them different destinations if you chose and the interent capabilities are much better than my last phone. I do wish though that it had a camera. The battery life is also very good.

4-0 out of 5 stars I've seen worse;-)
I like my phone! And it's ok that I can't text message out...I do wish I could use the browser instead of having to download a now one.

4-0 out of 5 stars PDA and phone in a compact package
No text messaging?I could not begin to care less.It is a PDA, better yet, it is a Palm OS PDA.I can link my Lotus Notes information to my Palm, including all of my addresses, phone numbers, notes, to-do lists, etc.I can write notes, transport documents from the office to home and make phone calls all in one very neat little package.I can surf the web, pick-up email and do a search on Google. Why would I need the kiddie feature of text messaging?

3-0 out of 5 stars Def not best, but not worst
I had the Samsung A600 for awhile which is absolute doo doo.You can read my review on it and detect my rage at the stupid thing. It finally died on me so I used this Nokia phone I bought in a garage sale for $1.I wonder y she sold it so cheap?...
4-0 out of 5 stars Worked great for me
Hello, I have this phone and used it until I decided to buy a flip phone. I have had NO problems with the battery or new cases--it has a new fish case on it now and it stays as well as the original one. I have added ring tones, and music so it was all good for me--as a matter of fact I am willing to sell this phone, the home charger and the car charger for a great deal--email me--(...)

1-0 out of 5 stars PCS Nokia Crap
If you want a phone that never gets any reception, makes you afraid that the entire thing will fall apart, randomly lets you know when you have voicemail, and constantly has you at the Sprint store because the battery has failed yet again, then this is the phone for you.

1-0 out of 5 stars Who dropped the ball at samsung?!?
This phone is quite possibly the worst item to ever hit the hot little hands of consumers in the history of the entire universe. It might as well have a button that retracts razor blades to cut the users hands off.... that would even be a welcomed feature IF IT WORKED! This phone can't hold a call for longer than 1 minute on a good day in ideal conditions. If its raining or a small insect flies within the path of the antenna and the receiving tower, you better have that person's number on speed dial because you will be calling them back!I have never had a phone, correction, i have never had ANYTHING i have hated more than this piece!I had a samsung a400 before this one and it worked great! In fact i dropped it in my pool TWICE and it still recovered!I thought another samsung phone would be equally great but it seems that someone overlooked the whole phone part of the design and focused more attention on making it roughly the size of Zack Morris' phone on Saved By The Bell! The battery should have been equipped with a hand crank in order to "Charge On The Go" and maybe even an optional foam outer casing because of the thousands of times you will want to throw the SOB against a wall!Do yourself a favor and destroy any Samsung N400 phone you ever see. With your help, we could rid the world of this horrible device.... it hasnt been proven, but i would not be suprised if the ozone layer corrected itself after these phones are all destroyed!Israel would become a peaceful nation and Pennsylvania would probably fix their roads!Peace Out!

1-0 out of 5 stars This phone is crap
Everything that the reviewer below (Sarahnoid) said is accurate.
1-0 out of 5 stars I wish it were possible to give 0 stars.
This phone was sent to me as a replacement when my fabulous Sanyo lost an argument with gravity. It is, quite possibly, the most worthless piece of crap I've ever owned. It's so horrible that I've called Sprint on several occasions trying to get a replacement for this phone, as it doesn't work very well, if at all.I'm always told that since it was issued to me through the insurance policy I took out on my plan, I have to go through the insurance company. The insurance company then tells me that if I get another phone via the insurance, they will cancel my insurance, as two phones in a year is some sort of red flag--nevermind that the one they sent me is worthless.

Editorial Review

If you liked the Samsung A400, you’ll love the A460. With the A460, Samsung has kept all the great attributes of the A400 while adding a few polishes that make the A460 one of the sleekest phones on the market. Like it’s predecessor, it’s packed with easy-to-use features, such as voice-activated calling and one-touch Web access. It also retains the elegant two-tone silver finish. But it’s both lighter and more compact and includes an outside LCD screen, which allows you to see the time, date, and battery life without opening the phone. Read more

  • External display shows incoming call phone numbers
  • Compact design with slim profile
  • Large screen displays up to 8 lines of text, 4 shades of grayscale

4-0 out of 5 stars Elegant
This phone, despite all its problems, is by far my favorite cell phone ever. No, it doesn't have a camera. Yes, I too had trouble with the screen dying after 2 years (just as I was switching services, fortunately). So I wouldn't go buying one used.
4-0 out of 5 stars If your display dies...
Very common for the display screens (internal and external) on these phone to die after a year or two. Mine died after 2.5 years...BUT, I went into the LA Sprint Phone Store and they said, "this is a known problem" and replaced it on the spot for free with another one (factory reconditioned) and transferred the phone book entries. I did NOT have an extended contract. Pretty cool.

4-0 out of 5 stars User Friendly

4-0 out of 5 stars Reliable phone
This model is old now, but if anyone is still thinking about getting it, it is a good phone. This phone is known for good reception. The sound quality during conversations is excellent--very natural and about as good as a landline.
5-0 out of 5 stars Nice Little Phone
I had this phone for about 5 months now. It has great feature, especially the loud speaker. The key guard is also very handy, just press the joystick for a sec. Don't really like the flashing light at the back, it reduced lots of my call time. But you can always turn that off.

4-0 out of 5 stars High Marks!
I've had wireless phone service for years. This Hitachi/Sprint PCS phone has, so far, been my favorite. It's very light, it's packed with features, and the price has been excellent. It's especially easy to silence the phone, via a separate switch on the top, without having to punch any keys.Another plus is that this model accepts standard sized headset jacks...many mobile phones do not. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars WARNING
My problems with nextel did not stop when I canceled my service. I will get to the problems with the service. When I went to get a new phone a day before my contract expired, I of course wanted to keep my number. So as I went to get my Cingular phone (highly recommended), I had the old number switched to my new number. Today, I get in the mail my nextel statement for the month with a $200 early termination even though I had not canceled my service, but had simply got a new phone and switched my number over. This was on icing on the cake after 2 years of absolutely amazingy bad service from nextel. In my town, not a small town by any means, there are very few places that have any service. In the largest subdivision, you cannot get service anywhere. I constantly get comments from people trying to reach me that get the classic nextel line...Please hold while the nextel subscriber you are trying to reach is located. Most of the time I would not even recieve incoming calls, calls would go straight to my voice mail. Not only would I not get the calls, but often I would not even get the voice mails until days or even weeks later. When I did actually take calls (and call out), I cannot count the number of times I've had my call dropped. I recieved so many different error messages sometimes I wonder if they just spend all their time at nextel thinking of different error messages to program into their phones. That brings me to the selling point of nextel, the famed and well-loved direct connect feature. This is an absolute joke. Direct connect only works MAYBE half the time I tried to use it. Even then, in the middle of the conversation I would be greeted by the loud beep of my phone telling me I wont be talking to that person anymore. Of course, I would expect nothing less from the nextel network. Text messaging with nextel is next to impossible. If it did not take hours to send or recieve a message, it took days, or maybe didn't even come at all. The internet access was fine, it the rare instance that it worked. Of course, when you don't have service, you don't get the internet access either. I was constantly getting the message "network not available". Calling and trying to complain to nextel is futile. Trying to get through to customer service takes forever and once you get through they do nothing. My experience with nextel has been nothing short of a disaster and I write this trying to warn anyone considering nextel. Stick with Verizon or Cingular and you will be much happier in the end. Don't make the same mistake I did.

5-0 out of 5 stars i loved this phone
i had this phone for over a year, i loved it best phone i ever had, the only negative thing i can say is that the case is kinda weak and the holster holds the phone backwards so it doesnt break the external caller id if dropped, this means you have to take the phone out of the clip to answer the phone, unless you use speaker phone, id recommend this to anyone that wants nextel, best phone they had

5-0 out of 5 stars Great color phone for Nextel users
I've been a Nextel customer for years for both business and personal use. I've used almost all lines of phones. The i95cl was my favorite until i830 came along. The i95 is good for casual and especially heavy business users. The color LCD screen is huge compared to i730 and i830. Apparently Nextel had to reduce screen size in order to reduce phone size. That is one thing I miss in i830. I never had a problem with i95 size since it weighs about 5 oz. Great phone and I could not believe Nextel would discontinue it. *Note: I have an extra i95 for sale. It was my personal phone and in very good condition with some scratches. It is fully operational, travel charger and holster, shipping in USA included for flat $120.00. I will accept paypal only. I know people that have had this phone in the Upstate NY area and have had wonderful experiences with this phone and other Moto phones. As for the idiot who had either poor or NO service with Nextel and stayed for 2 years and did not cancel there contract and pay the 200 dollar cancellation fee,I wish I could sell them something. How foolish could someone be,paying for NO SERVICE

MY HUSBAND ACTUALLY HAS THIS PHONE AND EVERYDAY ALL IHEAR IS, " I JUST WANT TO THROW THIS PHONE INTO A WALL." THE BATTERY LIFE IS TERRIBLE AND BOTH THE EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL SCREENS ARE GONE. OF COURSE SPRINT CAN DO NOTHING ABOUT IT AS USUAL. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

5-0 out of 5 stars great sprint phone!!!
I have had this phone for 3 years now I would never get another phone.Over the time I have had this phone.I have droped it... kicked it trying to pick it up.... and have ran the battery to dead several times all for it to recharge back in no time... I recommed the extra long battery for this phone I could go days before a recharge which was great for me.But last week I left it in my pants and threw them in the wash all to find my poor little phone dying at the bottom of the washer.I don't think many pones could even turn on after that abuse... but this one did... and well it doesn't work some part of the circut shorted and it just blinks now... but I just ordered another one and hope for it to be as good as the last one...

Check your guarrantie mine doesn't resets itself an actually rings and vibrates you better check it and it's true the batery is horrible i actually changed it and for the volume use another earbuds i use it with headset jack not with speaker )it sucks) well that's all hope my review helped yoy

1-0 out of 5 stars Buggy and not well designed
As others have written, the inability to use this like a regular phone is irritating (headset or speakerphone only). Being able to surf is nice, but, only practical if you turn off pictures and still really slow.My device also had a strange bug where it would turn on and the lower left menu would pop up repeatadly, which is really annoying.I've switched to a smaller, normal phone and am much much happier.

2-0 out of 5 stars cool but too many drawbacks
I've had mine several years. Pro: It takes a beating! From dropping it to spilling coffee on it, it still works. Great to have so much in one item. The handwriting recognition is great, it really works.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Phone for Geeky Guys with a shallow pocket. The only bad thing is the size
I bought the phone right after I got my annual bonus in the beginning of 2006. $160, a refurbished phone, sounds really expensive. However, the rich functions really told me that it is a super bargain. The $10 per month unlimited internet / email from Sprintpcs is just perfect. The avantgo also make my long journeys between NYC and DC a very enjoyable reading time. I bought a 512MB memory card for the phone and it stores various applications and data: mp3 songs, microsoft digi maps, Gameboy simulators...
3-0 out of 5 stars Shocking to find...
I almost gave up my Black Razr for this phone, but i decided to keep the phone on board with me for text communications. I do enjoy it for its processor and internet ability's, but it is bulky, the camera cant zoom, or at least i have not found out how to zoom, and i have not found any of the memory cards for the expansion slot. Other than it is an okay phone.

2-0 out of 5 stars Dont buy!
If you want to download ringtones or send text messages, then this phone is not for you.If you need assessories or want to transfer your old contact information into the new G1000 phone, you want be able to do that either. However, if you are a business person and dont care about those features, excellent phone/pda. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Almost as bad as my old Samsung
This phone could have been a great phone but it was a prototype. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE. Buy the 650 and choose Verzion. Sprint's a joke. I've tried them three different times and this was my last time.

1-0 out of 5 stars never use sprint again
This review has nothing to do with this phone. I am very unhappy about their service.

3-0 out of 5 stars Great Phone But Being Phased Out
I've had an I330 since 2003.It was an excellent phone and PDA, but I wouldn't recommend buying one, even a used one because:
5-0 out of 5 stars An excellent palm phone - too bad it's only for Sprint!
This phone rocks - I am really disappointed that it is not available to be used on any other provider. The phone itself has been the only reason I stayed with Sprint - even here, in Kansas City, the WORLD HEADQUARTERS of Sprint the service areas are always dropping calls and it is expensive!
2-0 out of 5 stars Equal parts pleasure and pain
Others have touted all that the I-330 is capable of when it works. Those reviewers who have praised the I-330 haven't owned one long enough. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Durable and Relaible
This phone is ideal for anyone looking for a phone that is both durable and reliable. This phone has never failed me , I work outside for the DOT this phone withstands all that mother nature has to offer. I highly recommend this phone to those who want their purchase to outlast the money they spent, this is the ultimate in what a phone should be.

3-0 out of 5 stars Yin & Yang: Wake up Motorola!
The Good: Finally, somebody else realizes the benefit of a rubber coating and its durability. Panasonic's Duramax was my favorite, but it's discontinued. I'm surprised no one makes rubber snap on covers for all the phones. Drop the phone, chances are good it won't break. Moisture resistant (not clothes washer resistant, neither was my Duramax). Scratches nil. A good work phone for tough environments. Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Nextel is most expensive service with the worst reception/service
Nextel has bad reception in Northeast USA. Not sure about the rest of the country. Also, Nextel has the highest price among all the other service providers. They add $24 additional surcharges and hidden cost on top of you monthly fee. Other carrier have approximately $10 additional charge. Nextel charge you more and you get less. Also, they have poor customer service with no compensation for you dropped calls or no service at all.

5-0 out of 5 stars A champ!
This phone has been great. I have carried it with me everywhere I go for the last 2 1/2 years, and it has held up wonderfully. I have never had any mechanical problems, and aside from some minor cosmetic scratches from normal wear and tear this phone still looks and works just as great as it did when I bought it. I believe this was the first camera phone on the market to have both a flash and a zoom lens, and even today it takes better pictures than a lot of the new ones they are coming out with. The Internet capability was also very groundbreaking for me, and it was so convenient to be able to do things like check movie times at local theaters with the push of a fwe buttons. I'm getting to the point where I am about to upgrade, but really only for the purpose of getting a phone with camcorder and LiveMedia capability. I have had a couple of problems with the Sprint service over the years, which I think is somewhat unavoidable in this day and age, but they have always been willing to work with me and do what they could to resolve the issue. Bottom line, this phone has served me well and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good reliable camera phone.

4-0 out of 5 stars Just looking for an upgrade
When i first bought this phone 2 years ago, i fell in love! It has a camera w/ a flash, and took better pictures than most of the other phones out there at the time.
2-0 out of 5 stars Bad hinge
The flip phone hinges froze up and then one side at a time broke the plastic case and came apart until it broke the display cable. Takes the special y driver to replace the case and I can't find a Cell Phone store to replace the case.

DO NOT let Mr. Hugh's comments above influence your decision about Nextel. He evidently didn't do his homework before he purchased the phone. Ever complaint he had could be had with any phone company if they didn't have service in your area. Nextel can't help it if he lives in some God-forsaken place out in no-where.

4-0 out of 5 stars good simple phone
I've had this phone for almost 2 years now and have been very pleased. The only problem I've had in 2 years is the front faceplate is beginning to come off.Other than that this phone has been great.I get excellent reception and the battery is still working great. This phone doesn't have many extra features, but if all you need the phone for is talking then this would be an excellent buy.

2-0 out of 5 stars Nothing but problems
My husband and I each got a Nokia 3585 last year. We have had nothing but problems with these phones for the past 6 months. Each phone has been sent for service (twice!) for failing to turn on even though the battery had a full charge. Now, the display screen of one of the phones occasionally fails to illuminate, making the screen very difficult to see. I think these phones are very poor quality and are not made to last. You would do better to invest a little more money in a better quality phone.
