4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent phone with a few minuses
Been using this for about a week now, here's what I came up with.
5-0 out of 5 stars Finally! A Blackberry for Me!
I have always been inticed by the blackberry line of phones. How they could do everything, browse the web, IM, Email and so on. But none have ever worked for me because they were huge. I tried a 8700c, but that wasnt the phone. I liked the keyboard, but it was huge. I also tried the 7130c, which was better, but was still to thick and felt weird to use next to my Razr. I waited and waited and almost gave up, but RIM finally came through on this phenominal device.
5-0 out of 5 stars A Blackberry for Everyone
I have now owned this phone for three days, coming off a one-year relationship with a Cingular Blackberry 8700c. The 8700c is more of your traditional Blackberry; when it was released, the folks at RIM gave it a more hip appearance while maintaining the business as usual status quo of all Blackberries. With the Blackberry 8100 "Pearl," RIM has taken another huge step towards making hip phones for the masses, and especially younger people.

5-0 out of 5 stars 8700c
Pros: I have had this phone for 4 months and it works great.
4-0 out of 5 stars Not bad... but one REALLY annoying design glitch
I changed jobs, and the corporate standard is the Blackberry, so I had to give up my much-loved Treo 650. At least I was able to keep my number and swap the old SIM into the new phone.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great Phone!!!!
First I would like to say that i also had the treo 650 and it was a great phone!! But I was sold on the blackberry by a coworker. The Blackberry is everything you need. Email accounts are cool you can link your personal and companies accounts to your phone and blackberry give you a personal email too.Texting and instant messaging are just amazing on this phone, just plain faster. The one thing I would say is buy the phone that fits your needs!!! ... 1-0 out of 5 stars MSN Support
When I purchased my Blackberry 8700G, I was told that I could receive my email from MSN. It worked a couple of months, and then all of a sudden I couldn't receive emails. I spent 10 hours on the phone trying to get this resolved, and was finally told that T-Mobile didn't support receiving emails from MSN...even though that is what the saleslady told me. I asked to have the device replaced with one that I could receive emails and was told by T-Mobile that they couldn't do that. So now, I'm stuck with a $300 device that won't perform as it was sold to me. Be aware... I've been a customer since 2000 and they won't even try to accommodate me, even though they weren't truthful when they sold me the product.

5-0 out of 5 stars Indispensably Intuitive
The Blackberry 8700g is a dream come true.Lightweight, incredibly intuitive, this phone has lightening fast email (even from the subway system in NY), the organizer linked right up with Microsoft Outlook, and the screen is easy to read even in the brightest sun.The keyboard is perfectly sized and the bluetooth and speakerphone round out the experience. As a performer, I'm constantly away from my home and office...this little puppy keeps me connected and organized during the day, so I don't have so much catching up to do when I get home. And the quad band phone will keep me connected when touring overseas. T-Mobile customer service the best I've encountered.

3-0 out of 5 stars Could be better
It's very handy for email.

An upgrade to the popular BlackBerry 7100g, the BlackBerry 7130c adds a slew of enhancements that make this the best 7100-series handheld yet. 5-0 out of 5 stars Great Phone
I've had the 7130c for almost a week now, hands down it is a great phone! Now this is not a predominately PDA that just happens to be a phone. This is a phone with a great organization and email package implemented in it. I mention that because this should not be compared to a Palm Treo or even the Cingulr 8125. This phone is what I would say the bridge between the regular cell phones and perhaps the more PDA-centric phones out on the market.
5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent all around phone
For three months, i researched and researched and researched tons of phones looking for the perfect one.The one thing that i was looking for was a phone that had a loud volume and excellent call quality.I was so frustrated with other phones (razr, treo, nokia) that threw in a crappy camera and mp3 player at the expense of sound quality and volume, which is what a phone is supposed to be for in the first place. The 7130c has the best sound quality that i have ever heard, it has barely ever dropped a call and i can hear everything in crystal clear detail. The menus and interent browsing are extremely organised, fast, and uncluttered, another thing that frsutrated be immensly with other phones. The internet is very fast, the ringtones sound great, and basically the whole phone is flawless. The only minor things that can be frustrating is sometimes the phone feels somewhat cheaply made, creaks a little bit, but not too much, and only sometimes.Another thing is that you cant do to much with attachments in media sources, such as video. To get pictures on your device, you must email them in the correct pixel format which can be a pain. Also, the backlight has three stages or automatic which adjusts to the light, but it can only default to the 2nd stage and i wish it could go to 3rd because it looks better.you have to press the backlight button to go to third stage.Besides those minor flaws, this phone is the best phone you will ever purchase and i highly recommend it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect to a "T"-Blackberry 7105T Tops!
I have written many reviews on cell phones here on Amazon. I used to be a Nextel subscriber, but have been with Tmobile about six months.
2-0 out of 5 stars So - so phone, pretty good PDA
I've had the BB 7105 about 5 months now and am looking for a replacement already. I primarily got it for business purposes...ie syncing contacts and calender. Besides some error message issues that still haven't been resolved the microphone on this unit absolutely sucks. If you have ANY ambient background noise people on the other end have a really hard time understanding you. Not good for a business traveller.

2-0 out of 5 stars Yawn
I've had more cellphones than I have fingers.Yes I'm technologically literate and in my twenties.I bought this phone back in march/april.. loved it back then.Hate it now.

1-0 out of 5 stars Help
If you bay any Blackbery device you also buy a problem. This is good if you make no change and only use to send mails. They do not provide online help or a mail account to make questions. The Desktop software has pour logic and usually makes what is not expected. The help always referrer to the Administrator or to the manual! So, what happen if you would like to do something by your self? Probably you have to spend lot of time reading the whole book. What happen if you do not have an administrator? This shows you the lake of respect for the costumers. This is definitely not a company oriented to final customers, their target is B2B, and so you have to be careful.

1-0 out of 5 stars And these guys set the standard?!?!
Rather than write a typical review, I'll simply print my letter to RIM, the makers of Blackberry:
1-0 out of 5 stars Worst customer services
T-mobile has the worst customer services. Sometimes, It is the company's mistake and they still blame it on the customer. Since I started my plan, I had a problem reciving my bill on time. So, the company start charging me $5 late fee for four consecutive months. Also, when I tried adding additional features such as their text-message-bundle, the change on the account did not take effect till two days later, and I was charged for 10 cents for each message I used in these two days, and It costed me an additional $4. Every time I tried complaining to their customer services, they just wouldn't listen. I am starting to get the feeling that they are just trying to maximize their profit. More than once, if I stay long-enough on the line, they put me on mute so they don't have to listen to my complaining. I feeling that I am being treated like dirt not like a customer. I had the worst customer-services experience with t-mobile. Also, the reception is not the best in the country. I had friends who were using the same phone as the one I have but different network, and they were getting services in places where I don't have it, and they pay about the same amount of money. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Edition
I've used, and enjoyed, the normal form-factor BBs, and at upgrade time I was torn between the 8700 and the 7100g.While the email capabililty is a must, I'd grown tired of talking into what appeared to be a calculator.Besides the bulky ergonomics, I couldn't get past the idea that my voice just couldn't reach the microphone with the older form-factor (7290, etc...).
1-0 out of 5 stars Blackberry 7100
Reception is horrible... Very hard to hear a conversation unless you have the bluetooth...
1-0 out of 5 stars Frustratingly subpar device
Consistently dropped called, extermely poor reception (in areas where other blackberries work perfectly fine), horrendous ear-and-mouth-piece for both listening and speaking into, flawed flawed flawed performance...I mean I can't even use call waiting without dropping both lines. The half-QWERTY keypad is alright but you might want to go for the full keypad...otherwise it beats the purpose of having a blackberry. Address book maintence is poorer than a standard cell phone. I can't short-cut add a number into my addressbook without copying/pasting the number into my address book explictly. Overall...stay away from this piece of junk, wait a couple of months and shell some money for the Motorola Q (the RazorBerry). ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars BES makes a huge difference
The 7290 is a great choice model if you need a Blackberry. I love having my blackberry synchronizing with our Blackberry Enterprise Server, that way i am fully in synch with my Outlook.
5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome - exceeded expectations and won't be replacing with other models
I am an attorney and I purchased this a couple of months ago and it is excellent.I receive e-mails instantly, receive clear reception when placing and receiving phone calls.Plus, with blue tooth technology, I can just place the phone into my blackberry stand or leave it in my purse and still talk instead of holding the blackberry to my ear.I looked at some of the newer models but was not impressed. The 8700 series has a few more amenities;however, the keyboard is smaller and to me the 7290 is more asthetically pleasing. . . what can I say, I'm a woman.I needed the blackberry for phone service, e-mail, the internet and calendaring.I have a computer at home and at work so didn't need to do anything "major" with this device and it serves, if not exceeds its purpose.
5-0 out of 5 stars Best phone I've owned so far...
I've own many phones in the past. So far, this one has topped them off! I didn't want a camara, mp3 player (or other "kid stuff"), but a phone that would do three things: 1.) Be a phone; 2.) eMail; 3.) Calendar and applications that would sync with my Mac in an easy and non-confusing way. I got it! ... Read more

From what I can figure out, Cingular has no intention of honoring this offer. So, give it a shot; but as for me(a ex-longtime Cingular customer) I'd look for other options. Don't buy this phone.
4-0 out of 5 stars The good and the bad
I have been using this device for 8 months and been pretty happy with it. As with all phones and PDA's it has it quirks. The biggest one being that it occasionally locks up and there is no rhyme or reason to why and sometimes takes 20 minutes to get the thing reset and back up and working. It is not something that happens all the time but it does happen.
2-0 out of 5 stars Good until it stops working
I liked this phone pretty well until the 'shift' key stopped working. It started acting up a week before warranty ran out--unfortunately, I didn't click to that, and I waited to see if it would work itself out.It just got worse.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome Portable Office
I get a bazillion corporate emails a day and I've gotten pretty sick of hauling the laptop home every evening and on weekends just to keep up. I knew a BlackBerry was a good solution but I had no idea how productive/addictive they were. (I guess they call them CrackBerries for a reason.)

Now Blackberry users can wirelessly read email, make phone calls, book meetings, and more--in color. In addition to being the first color BlackBerry, the 7230 is also the first with support for gaming, and it's one of the first with tri-band GSM-- a real must for world travelers. 5-0 out of 5 stars Powerfull Email tool
As an email tool for people who travel and need instant access it is great, highly recomend!!T mobile customer service however is terrible I cant wait until my contract with them is up, luckily the 7230 works so well and is problem free so I rarely have to talk to them.

4-0 out of 5 stars Blackberry is Great, so is T-Mobile
I suspect that many of the complaints about T-Mobile are related to local areas.Like it or not all cell companies are hit and miss depending on the area.AT&T was great in Atlanta, but awful in Phoenix.T-Mobile has been great over the past three years.
2-0 out of 5 stars The Blackberry is fine, but don't trust T-Mobile
I've had the 7230 from T-Mobile for about 4 months, and haven't had any problems (other than when I got my phone it took them 2 days and about 8 phone calls to get my enterprise service activated -- always ask to be directly connected to Tier 2 technical support -- no one else knows anything at all).
