1-0 out of 5 stars T-Mobile the wost service ever!
I've had the SideKick2 for about a year now and the phone it self may be OK, The calinder, and all that work OK, but the T-Mobile service is the worst ever!
5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Device with Some Major Problems
I am 14 years old and I just got a sidekick 3 as a reward frommy parents for getting into an advanced math program. They had some overall doubts that it was dangerous for a child of my age to handle such an item as i could misuse it without their knowledge.I agree with the man a few reviews down that parents should be worried about this device as internet predators and myspace predators are out there. That is why i recomend sitting down with your child and discussing the dangers of having such a device with them.If you notice that they understand the dangers, I would reccomend at least considering buying it.However, thoroughly make sure that they understand the dangers because the more I am using this device (which is limited because of my studies) I am recognizing that this device can do pretty much as much as a laptop with a few exceptions being that it cannot handle all applications and some other things.
4-0 out of 5 stars T-Mobile Sucks
I use to be a t-mobile costumer until they started charging me for changes i made to my plan that they didn't change.I called costumer service and they gave me the run around.I had two lines and changed one of the planes to a emergency plan for 100 mins a month. It was suppose to be changed at the end of the pay cycle.Low and be hold i get a bill for over 1,000 dollars. I'm like WTF. I call them and they say they changed my plan an hour after i called them to change it to an emergency plan. I was so mad because it was soppose to be changed at the end of the month taht was the agreement with there costumer service. I've been trying to get them to drop the overage charges but they say it is my fault for chabging my plan. That is not the only problem i had with changing my plan this has happened befor ewith them. Finnaly i got tired of them and went to cingular which costumer service is best. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars BES makes a huge difference
The 7290 is a great choice model if you need a Blackberry. I love having my blackberry synchronizing with our Blackberry Enterprise Server, that way i am fully in synch with my Outlook.
5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome - exceeded expectations and won't be replacing with other models
I am an attorney and I purchased this a couple of months ago and it is excellent.I receive e-mails instantly, receive clear reception when placing and receiving phone calls.Plus, with blue tooth technology, I can just place the phone into my blackberry stand or leave it in my purse and still talk instead of holding the blackberry to my ear.I looked at some of the newer models but was not impressed. The 8700 series has a few more amenities;however, the keyboard is smaller and to me the 7290 is more asthetically pleasing. . . what can I say, I'm a woman.I needed the blackberry for phone service, e-mail, the internet and calendaring.I have a computer at home and at work so didn't need to do anything "major" with this device and it serves, if not exceeds its purpose.
5-0 out of 5 stars Best phone I've owned so far...
I've own many phones in the past. So far, this one has topped them off! I didn't want a camara, mp3 player (or other "kid stuff"), but a phone that would do three things: 1.) Be a phone; 2.) eMail; 3.) Calendar and applications that would sync with my Mac in an easy and non-confusing way. I got it! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Angry at HP
My joystick fell off two weeks ago, sent the unit to HP telling them in advance the problem on my 6515 phone, clerk said to send it in on warranty. Got phoned back by HP, they told me they cannot repair the unit they offered a swap and wanted to charge me 303$ (excessive). I paid the unit 400$ on ebay, I tried to discuss the issue with a corporate office sales relation person in Canada and they say I had misused it. I have had 3 ipaqs in the last 8 years a 3660, a 3955 wich I still own, I know how much pressure to apply to an Ipaq button... had a problem once with the stylus button on my 3660, Compaq had at that time happily repaired it at no charge, things have changeg since HP took their business. I discussed this with the corporate office telling them this issue is frequently related on the internet. On one site a guy had a 6515 with cingular, he had had four replacements because of the same problem. Even in their own forum site this problem is refered to. An ebay seller is offerring a replacement button fo 24$, HP told me to buy it from them, can you believe that? On top of all that they said to me I had to pay an evaluation fee of 67$, told thew I did not want to pay... They replied they would send this to a collection agency if I did not pay within 90 days. My guess is this issue would cost too much to HP to recall deffective units so they prefer to abuse their custemors by telling them it's misuse... I plan to take them to small claims court and post this comment on as many sites as possible starting here. Good luck!

1-0 out of 5 stars replaced THREE TIMES!!!! giving up
this phone has broken three times from device malfunctions. i am giving up and demanding it be replaced by the 8125.
1-0 out of 5 stars Regrettable Purchase
My comments on this device are based on two weeks of very frustrating experience. Just trying to get this thing to perform basic functions is an exercise in futility. Comments are divided into two core uses: PHONE and PDA

5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect device
I have used non-phone pocket pc PDAs before and have come to rely on them, so when this was available from my Alltel service, I jumped to get it so that I wouldn't need to carry a PDA and a phone with me.
2-0 out of 5 stars Phone is a Major Disappointment on many levels
I can't say enough bad things about this device. Save yourself from a headache and don't purchase this product. The battery does NOT make it through a day of minimal use.In order to have this phone work properly for you, you would need to purchase an extended battery with a price range from 60 - 80 dollars. The most disappointing feature of this phone is the phone's speaker volume itself. It is very hard to hear conversations, and it makes for many frustrating phone calls. Many colleagues of mine have decided not to purchase this device after they experienced first hand how poor the quality of the phone was. The phone however sounds excellent when plugged into a headset. The phone as it is, is bulky... let alone adding a larger battery onto it. For the money spent, I'm very disappointed. The manufacturer has cut many corners in making this device and it is evident.Shame on them!

3-0 out of 5 stars JUST A PHONE WHICH NEEDS 100 XTRA STYLUS

1-0 out of 5 stars RUN AWAY - this product defines caveat emptor!
I do not review things, and I have an extremely high level of tolerance for product functioning. Nevertheless, I am so fed up with my palmOne Treo 650 (which I have owned for a year), that I have called Verizon today, complained to Palm, joined a class action, and reactiviated my several year-old flip phone that has water damage. Yes - my water damaged, cheap LG phone functions better than my palm treo.

4-0 out of 5 stars An excellent "one box" solution for busy executives
My workplace wanted me to get a cell phone so that they could contact me when in transit between meetings. I had been fascinated by the idea of Blackberrys and Treos for quite awhile. One of my coworkers was upgrading to a Blackberry and was willing to let me use his Treo 650.

2-0 out of 5 stars POCKET PC PHONE SUCKS
This unit is a total waste of time.Do not throw away your money - get a Treo 600 instead. Here are the issues I have with this device.
5-0 out of 5 stars Really Good Phone for professionals
First of all, I agree with the other reviewers, which aided my decision to buy this phone. If you're a person that does a lot of business and makes 20+ calls a day, then you should look at Nextel or something else. This phone is for someone that needs an organizer and tool, with occasional phone usage.
5-0 out of 5 stars I've had this PDA Phone for over a year...
..and I'm hooked.First of all, you should realize that if you're going to own a phone like this, you get a PDA which also doubles as a phone. It's first and foremost a PDA.So, if you just have to have the tiniest device possible, don't want to spend hardly any money on the device, and don't want to spend any time learning how to use it, then this phone is NOT for you.

1-0 out of 5 stars Cingular is deceptive!
My review is on Cingular.I bought a phone w/service and was told I could return for full refund and only charged for any air time used.THEY LIE.THE PHONE DID NOT WORK IN MY AREA AND I CANCELLED THE NEXT DAY.THEY ARE CHARGING ME FOR ACTIVATION even though it never worked in my area.If you are uncertain you will keep the phone and service, DON'T BUY from Cingular.Amazon will also do nothing to reimburse.
1-0 out of 5 stars Warning - 62650 is discriminated by Amazon!
Unfortunately for the people of Jacksonville, IL 62650 can not order Blackberry 7280 Cingular from Amazon. When I check with availability zip code.It says "Sorry! This product is not available for Jacksonville, IL".However, Blackberry 7280 Cingular is working excellent in Jacksonville, IL 62650. Amazon's discrimination toward people of zip code 62650.Anyway, I sought other business to ordered Blackberry 7280 and I loves it.

1-0 out of 5 stars Cingular Presents False Advertising
I tried to order the 7280 Blackberry(Cingular) 3 times. Twice for myself and once for my wife(I know she has good credit). Each time I was told the order was cancelled for additional credit information. Upon contacting Cingular I was told that a $49 deposit was required and Amazon could not collect the deposit; therefore the order couldn't be completed. From what I can figure out, Cingular has no intention of honoring this offer. So, give it a shot; but as for me(a ex-longtime Cingular customer) I'd look for other options. My new order for the 7280 Blackberry thru another carrier will arrive this week. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Rotten Berry
Don't buy this phone.
4-0 out of 5 stars The good and the bad
I have been using this device for 8 months and been pretty happy with it. As with all phones and PDA's it has it quirks. The biggest one being that it occasionally locks up and there is no rhyme or reason to why and sometimes takes 20 minutes to get the thing reset and back up and working. It is not something that happens all the time but it does happen.
2-0 out of 5 stars Good until it stops working
I liked this phone pretty well until the 'shift' key stopped working. It started acting up a week before warranty ran out--unfortunately, I didn't click to that, and I waited to see if it would work itself out.It just got worse.

5-0 out of 5 stars Powerfull Email tool
As an email tool for people who travel and need instant access it is great, highly recomend!!T mobile customer service however is terrible I cant wait until my contract with them is up, luckily the 7230 works so well and is problem free so I rarely have to talk to them.

4-0 out of 5 stars Blackberry is Great, so is T-Mobile
I suspect that many of the complaints about T-Mobile are related to local areas.Like it or not all cell companies are hit and miss depending on the area.AT&T was great in Atlanta, but awful in Phoenix.T-Mobile has been great over the past three years.
2-0 out of 5 stars The Blackberry is fine, but don't trust T-Mobile
I've had the 7230 from T-Mobile for about 4 months, and haven't had any problems (other than when I got my phone it took them 2 days and about 8 phone calls to get my enterprise service activated -- always ask to be directly connected to Tier 2 technical support -- no one else knows anything at all).

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Phone for Geeky Guys with a shallow pocket. The only bad thing is the size
I bought the phone right after I got my annual bonus in the beginning of 2006. $160, a refurbished phone, sounds really expensive. However, the rich functions really told me that it is a super bargain. The $10 per month unlimited internet / email from Sprintpcs is just perfect. The avantgo also make my long journeys between NYC and DC a very enjoyable reading time. I bought a 512MB memory card for the phone and it stores various applications and data: mp3 songs, microsoft digi maps, Gameboy simulators...
3-0 out of 5 stars Shocking to find...
I almost gave up my Black Razr for this phone, but i decided to keep the phone on board with me for text communications. I do enjoy it for its processor and internet ability's, but it is bulky, the camera cant zoom, or at least i have not found out how to zoom, and i have not found any of the memory cards for the expansion slot. Other than it is an okay phone.

2-0 out of 5 stars Dont buy!
If you want to download ringtones or send text messages, then this phone is not for you.If you need assessories or want to transfer your old contact information into the new G1000 phone, you want be able to do that either. However, if you are a business person and dont care about those features, excellent phone/pda. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars i500
I really like this phone, although sometimes I wish more of its functions could be operated without the stylus, for when I am trying to one-hand it in the car or something. The quick buttons are great because you can assign them different destinations if you chose and the interent capabilities are much better than my last phone. I do wish though that it had a camera. The battery life is also very good.

4-0 out of 5 stars I've seen worse;-)
I like my phone! And it's ok that I can't text message out...I do wish I could use the browser instead of having to download a now one.

4-0 out of 5 stars PDA and phone in a compact package
No text messaging?I could not begin to care less.It is a PDA, better yet, it is a Palm OS PDA.I can link my Lotus Notes information to my Palm, including all of my addresses, phone numbers, notes, to-do lists, etc.I can write notes, transport documents from the office to home and make phone calls all in one very neat little package.I can surf the web, pick-up email and do a search on Google. Why would I need the kiddie feature of text messaging?

1-0 out of 5 stars Sound Is An Important Feature For A Phone
If I had written this review shortly after the purchase of my phone, it would have been filled with accolades. This phone is fantastic...until it breaks.Several years ago, I purchased the Treo 600 palm phone with Sprint coverage.Within one year, the sound stopped working.I was given a refurbished phone, which eventually came to the same end.So, now on my third phone, the sound is again causing problems.Of course, this one fell apart a year and a week after the last one was replaced so Sprint refuses to replace it.
4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty good little device
I've had my Treo 600 over a year now, and haven't had any trouble, except for a couple lock-ups that cleared away easily w/ a soft reset.I just installed a 1 meg SD card and Real-player's MP3 player (free!) on the phone and the sound quality (w/ Sony earbuds) is much better than I expected. The 650 wasn't available when I bought mine--I assume I'd buy a 650 if I were shopping today.OBTW, I'm on Sprint and it works well, BUT!!You can't (currently) take Sprint phones over to Europe (GSM, CDMA, whatever...), so if you travel much, think about that before you go w/ a certain provider.
4-0 out of 5 stars Facts about the treo 600!
O.k. so you want a treo 600? I have had mine for almost a year & after exploreing all it has to offer heres what i have to say!Yes i have been throught 2 phones prior to this one,but it does work.Speaker phone is good(depending on where u r in the world but in CT it works fine).Hot syincing is REAL EASY, just put the disc in ur computer & READ!!!!!it takes of the rest.Downloading apps is also a breeze just a few screen that u have to READ!!!!& ur done.I have real ringtones on my 600!(real not poly)But theres only one way to find out for urself how good it is!!!!!! ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this phone with such a bad history!
I bought this phone without doing the research I usually do because I've owned a Palm PDA for years.Turns out this phone and the 650 are part of a class action lawsuit because of the problems the phone has had.
1-0 out of 5 stars Run ...from this no - service company
I have owned this unlocked GSM 600 phone for 3 agonizing years. Not sure whether to lynch the engineers, techs or marketers!!! Lots of potential and promises and absolutely horrible customer care.Treo and PalmOne really sucks and is pushing otherwise dedicated customers to other smart phones.Blackberry does less but more reliably. So long you silver piece of _____, I am tired of dropped calls, shut offs and resets.JGK

1-0 out of 5 stars Spend your hard earned money on something worthy!
It is less than a year since I got my treo 600. This will be the third set I am going to get in warranty exchange program (I called these guys up today again with couple of problems and they are going to send me a new set).

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Phone!
I've had it for 6 months and I am glad I bought it. Excellent features. Flawless syncronization. If you will use it for a lot of emailing I recommend getting a portable bluetooth keyboard. For normal use T9 is sufficient.

3-0 out of 5 stars MDs beware...poor software options, worse reception
Love the size and style of this phone, but if you are an MD, go back to PocketPC or Palm. There is simply no medical software worth having that uses this platform.I even contacted several publishers of the 'basic' medical software and they had no plans to make their products adaptable.I also have a candybar el cheapo cell phone [doesn't even have a camera] that I use at home with the same carrier and the reception is remarkably better.I'm switching to Treo.

5-0 out of 5 stars THIS PHONE ROCKS THE HOUSE!

2-0 out of 5 stars Bulky, poorly designed nuisance gadget
I have had this phone now for a couple of years and it is definately a love/hate relationship. LOVE: Phone/PDA/internet browser in one. HATE: User interface, buttons that stick out causing them to be pressed inadvertantly (I will be walking along and hear dialtones or my wife saying "hello? hello?" because the dial button has been bumped in my pocket), and embarassingly large size. I paid $800 a few years ago and I am GLAD it's cheaper now. I look forward to when it dies so I can get a smaller phone.

2-0 out of 5 stars lots of problems
the i 700 loses data and phone numbers for no apparent reason.i have 3 times put in numbers and then lost them.it is diffiuclt to connect to the internet.it is difficult to hold the phone without pushing one of the the buttons on the side.the biggest positive is that the screen is easy to read.

4-0 out of 5 stars After 1 year use as PDA and a phone
I am a web designer, and work got me an i700 a year ago so I can test small-form screen design. Despite considering myself a 'techie', I held getting a cell phone so this was my first. I used this 50-50 as a PDA and a phone.

4-0 out of 5 stars great phone
i personlly LOVE this phone. i love new stuff and this is one ofmy favorite toys. Sure its a little large for a cellphone but with a bluetooth headset your fine. my phone does just fine on battery life and as for low volume, i had an audiovox phone b4 and its just the brand and a bluetooth headset or putting it on speakerphone works just fine for me. 1 word of advise is to purchase more stylus, because YOU WILL LOSE THEM... just a fact of life. overall i LOVE this phone and recommend it if you like new "geeky" toys.

4-0 out of 5 stars Pump up the volume
The first thing I did when boiught this phone was drive over the hill.Every other call was dropped (with same service provider as they are the only national one in our rural area) until I got this phone and voila I can talk nearly everywhere. Now if onlyI could hear everywhere- I cannot hear you now if there is ambient noise and I don't have an earpiece in.
5-0 out of 5 stars pda plus
I've had a windows CE/pocket PC based pda since they started. The addition of the Phone to it is great! It performs quickly and reliably. have had no problems in over a year of using, dropping and connecting. The internet connections works well and the VPN, Wireless sync, and pop3 clients are strong. only downsides are too low volume and no zoom on the camera! ...
