WARNING to Existing Verizon Customers
I bought this phone with a one-year plan.I had an existing month-to-month plan with Verizon.Amazon assured me that although I would get a new phone number with the new phone, a simple call to Verizon would get my existing cell phone number switched to the new phone.

I wanted one of these when they came out but opted to wait til they got the bugs out and wait for my new every 2.There is still room for improvement.

More than just a cellphone
I've had around 6 different cellphones in about 4 years and I wouldn't change this one for anything in this world. The sound is clear and loud. So far I've dropped it like 1'000 times and still works like when I bought it. Oh, And It's being inside the toilet too. Thinking about getting a new cellphone? This is an excellent choice. Stylish, great performance and it'll make you look good for sure. Enjoy!

Fantastic Phone
First I should say that when I first got this phone I wished I had gotten a Razr like some members of my family. A flip phone I could just shove in my pocket with the tiny outboard screen and larger buttons really seemed more what I wanted, but after a couple of weeks I wouldn't trade. I really like this phone.
Great Phone-itunes messed it up
First of all, this phone does everything very well. Plus it looks great! A forewarning is to buy it at Best Buy so you can transfer your old number over and you can see the phone and play with it to see if it really is for you, but this phone has great features for everyone. It has an average camera as you expect on most normal phones theese days. It's battery life is great lasts a few days with moderate usage. The itunes is a great feature, but apple is greedy and limited the itunes to 100 songs so they could sell more ipods. This has nothing to do with the phone just a bad buiseness decision, but still plenty of songs to have with you. It comes with an itunes cd, usb cable, headphones with a mic, and a headphone adapter for regular headphones. Also the reception with cingular is as good as it gets, at least where I live. The other cool features include picture ID and special ringtones for each contact entry, an easy way to identify when your family, or your best friend, is calling you. Text messaging with this phone is great. It has a autofill feature so you dont need to enter entire words. And the buttons, although small, are designed so that it is hard to press two at a time. One last thing, the screen is amazing. I bought tetris and the 24 (Fox TV show) game and the graphics are impressive for a phone. ... Read more

Not good -- poor volume and reception
If you need to hear your calls or want decent reception (at least in Downtown NYC), I would pass on this phone.Sure it looks swell, but even at the highest volume position, callers are barely audible above common street noises.I can't fathom why Motorola hasn't fixed this serious design flaw.
Attracted to the phone because of it's size and slim-ness, but very dissapointed
I bought this phone from Cingular, and while I haven't had any major problems with the carrier, the phone is too fragile for everyday use. I've taken good care of this phone and keep it in a leather case, but it's already acting up. The phone randomly shuts off, especially during calls, even though the battery is charged. It seems as if the battery is secure in it's compartment, so I can't figure out what is wrong with it, beside the fact it's just a poorly designed phone. If size is what you're looking for in a phone, I'd look elsewhere.

Razr doesn't cut it
The slim and attractive appearance is undisputed but the ease of use (menus) and reliability needed more attention.They promptly replaced it, both times it didn't work, including a battery that wouldn't hold a charge after only 10 months of use however the replacement battery won't hold a charge near as long as the previous 6 to 8 phones I've had.I might have understood if it were a cheap phone, but with a hefty price tag (I'm embarrassed to say how much I paid for it), I expected the best and got much less. ... Verizon (VERI Zucky versiON) black model purchased
The RAZR WAS a cool phone. Verizon's firmware really sucks. It is not user friendly at all. It takes additional keystrokes to simply get to your address book to scroll for a number or to send a text message. The phone and Verizon do have great reception but that's about all I can say good about this. The memory card slot is in the battery bay so it isn't readily accessible should you wish to remove/add a card. I am happy to be with Verizon but really regret not returning the phone and trying another one.

Great Value!
I bought this from my service provider and have definitely enjoyed it.I do not take part in the extras that you can get like the Vcast (someone else would probably get more enjoyment out of it with the Vcast) but in spite of that have had no trouble with this phone.It is very compact and has a flat numeric pad; which I think is a great feature.I also like the way the phone book is set up and with the service provider I have and the bluetooth headset makes this phone a joy to have and use.
an alright phone, but lots of problems
Okay, well I just got my second razor yesterday and Ive only has this for 8 days. The last v3m razor that I had, froze constantly, the texting always lagged, and I wouldnt even get a texting menu anymore telling me I had a new text, the text would just pop up. So I really got mad and returned the phone yesterday, but since I got locked into taht 2 year contract thing, I had to just get a replacement. So I got a replacement, and the battery is amazing now(i only got 7 hours at the most out of my phone) and the texting is fine now, but now, it doesnt let me know when I get a new voicemail. I have to go and check my voicemail every 5 minutes to see if I have a new one. It is soo annyoing. I am never buying a razor ever again! It is the worst phone EVER! Don't even think about buying this thing! You'll just have problems after problems after problems. I can't wait to get rid of this thing. ... Read more

I hate this phone
I bought 2 Razr V3 pink phones for my family plan of 4.I was veryunhappy with the phone.The memory is too low, I don't even know why this phone has the video playback since it doesn't have enough memory to do so.No card slot to increase increase memory too.I regret buying this phone.Now I can't exchange these 2 phones for different ones.People, don't get this phone at all, only if you use for basic features.There are much better phones on Amazon to get.

I had a stroke a little over one year. I have to have a phone thats easy to opperate with one hand. light.I have to have a phone all the time. safty issues!! I love this phone. some nice things like a camera to take pictures and a voice recorder.

This is, by far, the WORST phone I have ever owned!I've only had it for 5 months and already the battery is worn out and it is starting to malfunction.VERY disappointed!I will NEVER buy a motorola again!Don't waste your money on this garbage!I will stick to the LG brand, as I am going to have to shell out major $ for a new phone.BUYERS BEWARE!

HELLO MOTO!!!!!
I purchased this phone from my local T-Mobile store along with an Unlimited Nights/Weekends/1000 Whenever Minutes plan and I must say, I am very impressed.The phone is beautiful and thin, and although this phone has been available for a long time now, I still can't get over how thin it is.Reception is great, and compared side by side to my old Samsung x475(T-Mobile, same network as the RAZR), the RAZR always wins on the reception.Where my Samsung gets 1 bar to no service in my room where I am typing this from, the RAZR gets a steady 3 bars, sometimes 2 but it never goes below that.On my old samsung, calls sounded weak and the audio would clip a lot, sometimes the call would even get dropped.I have yet to see my new RAZR drop calls.The screen on this phone is beautiful, or at least the main screen.The front screen on the outside of the phone is color but it seriously lacks contrast and color saturation.However, for an external screen, it does just fine.This phone also has bluetooth and has worked flawlessly with my bluetooth headset.I have also been able to send pictures taken with the RAZR's camera to my friend's camera-less phone via bluetooth.If you are looking for an affordable, stylish, bluetooth-rocking cell phone, this is the one. ... Phancy Phenomenal Phabulous Petite Pink Phone

Excellent consumer smartphone
I replaced a phone and a PDA with the Q and have been pretty happy since. The display is sharp, so I'm not finding the smaller size a problem, and the qwerty keyboard is a whole different world from on-screen keyboards and a stylus. It is a little sluggish compared to my iPAQ, but still very useable.
Previous owner of an SMT-5600, really didn't like the "Q"
I've had a Smartphone for about two years, so I'm not one of those people who didn't like the "Q" because I expected PocketPC features on it.I switched from Cingular to Verizon for service reasons, and the Q seemed like the closest phone to the Audiovox SMT-5600 that I had and liked.It was definitely wider, but thinner, which seemed like a reasonable tradeoff.

Blue Razor
I got a wonderful deal through Amazon and Cingular.Getting a Razor for one cent was terrific and I love my new phone!

Reception problems
I ordered a black and blue razr phone thinking there was absolutely no difference between the two except for color.My wife's phone, the black razr, has excellent reception.In contrast, the blue razr, has little to no reception.I exchanged it for another blue razr and discovered the same problem.Irritated and frustrated I decided to switch to the black razr thinking there might have been a manufacturing defect on the blue razr's.I received my black razr yesterday and voila the reception is far superior than the blue (which is supposedly the exact same phone).Of course my wife's phone still has better and consistent reception for some reason;Maybe because it is considered the primary phone it has better reception.My thinking is that if you wish to purchase a blue razr, you should wait a month or so before purchasing.Wait for those "defective" batches of blue razr's to be out of the system.Or, I just may have been an unlucky person to have gotten two defective blue phones in a row. ... Love it - but wish it was better....
I have had a Razr phone for three years.During that time I confess I have gently dropped it at least three times and the phone always reboots and gets itself working again.However,yesterday, weeks after the last "drop", it seemed to be losing its durability.Out of the blue, the camera turned on and randomly started to take photos.When I turned it out of camera mode, it switched into the voice record memo menu and would not exit until I hit the end button.From there the keypad would not work.I went to a friend's house to call Cingular and they said they would send new "software" to the phone.It worked for the day, but last night, it started working in the same erratic fashion.I rebooted it and charged the battery and hope it works today.I am going to see if it acts up again, but pulled out my old samsung freebie which I saved in case I need to use a reliable phone.
IT BREAKS ALL THE TIME!!!
Ok, so I bought into the hype about the Razr when it first came out.Now, however, I HATE THIS PHONE.IT HAS CAUSED ME NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS.Due to the fact that it is so slim, the wires are super thin as well and constantly break.It costs a lot to fix, including a day off of work to travel the extensive distance to someone who knows how to fix it.Then I finally got fed up with the phone breaking and decided to buy a new one, a completely different brand, but Cingular said I wasn't ready for an "upgrade" so I had to pay full price!I got screwed... beware the Razr (and any Motorola products for that matter--their Blue Tooth headsets are no better!!!Even my boyfriend who works for Moto won't buy their products!)

Although this phone is thin and looks nice. I'm disappointed I bought it. It just doesn't work well. I agree with many of the negative reviews of this phone. Different pinks with different carriers
I recently got this phone and love it.T-mobile's service may not be the best, but I have had no problems with the phone itself.For all the people saying that it isn't really magenta-It is.The pink razr offered by Cingular is a pale pink, the t-mobile phone is the hot pink magenta shown.I looked at them at bestbuy before buying and saw that the different carriers have different shades.

Love the phone, hate the battery life!
Having had every new gadget imaginable I must report that I LOVE this phone because I can take pictures and make videos! I LOATHE having to charge the battery everyday! Perhaps I just got a bad battery but I've NEVER had to charge any phone daily. Keep in mind that I leave my phone on 24/7. Maybe I should turn it off. Does anyone else have this same syndrome?
HATED IT
I actually went through three of these phones.Each one that I had would just turn off in the middle of a call...not just drop the call I mean the phone shuts off! Then I would try and start it again, no go! So I had to take the battery out of the phone put it all back together and then restart it. Half of the time it would start and say invalid battery and I would start the entire process over again. I complained so much to Tmobile that they exchanged it for a Motorola V360 which has all the same features, except BETTER reception and an MP3 player.I wouldnt reccommend this phone to anyone....p.s. This is by far the worst phone i have ever owned
Where to begin...
Great Phone
Does everything it is supposed to.I had no problem transferring two accounts from Verizon to the T-Mobile PEBLs I purchased from Amazon.Bluetooth works great with a bluetooth hands free wired-in car kit I had installed.

Had to return this phone
I made the mistake of accepting the Motorola PEBL when my mobile phone contract was renewed a few months ago and I was up for a new phone. The sales person assured me this was the best phone, latest model, etc etc.Two weeks later I had to go back to the telephone company and return the phone: the bluetooth feature wasn't working, I could not pick my voice mail, it would ring sometimes and sometimes not, and when they transferred the contacts from the old phone to this one, they lost half of my numbers. It is the worst phone I have ever owned. After that, I found out other people I knew had had the same problems with the PEBL and had to return it also. The phone company traded the PEBL for a Nokia, which is a far better phone. ... Read more

The I-870 from Nextel can be a tricky phone to get working. With that said once you get it working, it does a very good job of being a Phone, Camera, Video and MP3 player, all in one. As a phone it works great, compared to other cellular phones, it's a bit heavy but if your a nextel user your already use to that. As a camera, it is up to par with any other camera phone on the market, better than most models I tried. As a video player, again it's up to par with any other video/phone on the market. As far as the MP3 player goes, the sound is good for a phone/MP3 player but this is not an IPOD. Most reviews I read, users stated they had difficulty getting songs onto the phone. The micro SD card included with the unit can only hold 5 or 6 songs. You will probably want to get a bigger micro card, otherwise why even use the MP3 player. I would suggest a 512mb card that will hold 100 songs or more. Here is how I got my MP3's onto the phone. I tried the included software but got no where when I tried to load more than 10 songs onto my 512MB card and get them to play on the I-870. I did find some easy software that works, "DB Power AMP converter". First you must format the card inside your phone it will be an option in the menu on your phone under the media tab. Once you have downloaded the DB software to your computer, it will ask you to select the songs on disc or on your computer that you want converted. You then select all the songs you want to put onto your phone. Now that you have selected all your songs, you must make sure the file name (Artist and Song name) are no longer than 19 characters total(you will have to rename the tracks or artist titles to make them fit, otherwise they will not show up, or play on your I 870). Now convert them, with the following settings: MP3 Lame -> Bit rate 40KBps -> Frequency 16000 HZ -> output to your micro sd card -> convert. Once this process is complete, then take the micro SD card and put it in your phone, turn on your audio player and let the songs load. At this point your songs will all be on your phone and you will be able to play them. There is one problem here the songs were converted at very low speeds, so the quality sucks. To fix this go back and reformat the card inside your phone, it will erase all your files, which is needed. Now take the card out and put it back into your card reader, open up "DB Power Amp Converter" Take all the songs you previously converted and convert them again, this time use the following settings:MP3 Lame -> Bit rate 96KBps -> Frequency48000HZ -> output to your micro sd card -> convert. Take the card out and put it into your phone, select audio player, and all your songs will load and play with near CD quality. Don't ask me why you have to rename the files to make them 19 characters or less, and don't ask me why you have to convert all the files at a low quality/frequency load them to your phone, then re convert them at high quality/frequency, because I don't know, but it works. This process was a bit of a hassle for me, especially since I had to try a bunch of things to get this working, you just have to follow these instructions and you'll be up and running. Once I got the songs loaded, I play the audio player all the time, take alot of photos, use the video player, and talk on the phone daily with 0 problems.

Cool look, but that's about it
After all the hype, I decided to get a Razr. I was surprised that it wasn't cooler. I'm not sure what I expected it to do, but it's a phone, not a super hero.
SIMPLY THE BEST
This is simply the best cellphone I have ever seen.It was a Father's Day gift for my son, and he is in love with the phone!When he lets me use the phone, I have been amazed.The speakerphone and ringer are so loud that I had to turn them down.I live in Miami, and my phone needed one of those universal antenna to get 3 or 4 bars signal.The RAZR gets 4 or 5 bars signal almost everytime, and I never lost a call or the signal anywhere.The phone is so slim that I have forgotten it was in my pocket, and it is going to take him months to learn ALL of its features!There are so many accessories, games and services for the V3 RAZR that I feel lucky for my son to have one WITHOUT having yet another monthly bill.Simply amazing phone... ... LOOKS ARE DECEIVING
I have had this phone for about 3mo. This is my 2nd phone in 3mo.The 1st one they sent would not work and I had to send it back. The outside face plate has already cracked.The back cover will not stay on. It is hard to open.The voice dial does not work well.And the photo options are hard to work.I tired to return back to T-Mobile but no luck.BTWif you are with another phone compnay DO NOT move to T-Mobile. I left NEXTEL, I am am so sorry I did.My T-MOBILE experience...BAD SERVICE, BAD SIGNAL!!!!
