1-0 out of 5 stars Run away from this phone & Nextel
I had 3 different i836's and all had the same problems. The phone looks great but it ends there. The battery life is short & the signal sucks - I went from an i205 that I had for 5 years - to the 836 which cut off 36% of my calls (according to Nextel's own records) - this phone is the worst phone I ever used - it goes from full signal (5 bars) to no service all day long - just back and forth. I use about 6000 minutes a month and I need a dependable phone and service provider.I wasted hours and hours arguing with Nextel and got nowhere. After 2 months of torture I cancelled my service with Sprint / Nextelthey charged me $200 temination fee and refused to allow me to return the $100 i836.I went into Verizon, got a Kyocera phone and it works great. I'm paying more for my monthly service, but it just works - with no hassles. The i836 is now a $300 paperweight. I would rather stick needles in my eyes then deal with Sprint / Nextel again. What a way to treat a 9 year loyal customer Nextel.Way to go.......

2-0 out of 5 stars I want my money back
For looks it is a nice phone, for everyday use... Dont waste your money. Not good signal, terrible sound on the speaker and very delicate to most regular use. I used for a long time the i90c... I miss it even though it was a bigger phone. I would not recomend it.

1-0 out of 5 stars Nice Looking Piece Of Junk!
This phone is awful, I upgraded because my i80 (?) an old nextel brick was just too big and it snapped in half. this phone is the smalles they make right now. It has horrible battery l;ife, I am on my second battery because it will just cut out without warning when I am on the phone and have barely used it after a full charge. the signal is terrible, I don't have reception in places that I did with my older phone. the case scratches and chips easily and it just doesn't work!! If I paid for the phone I would have given it up long ago, but I use it for work heavily, dc and phone - when the battery is charged it does work fine. Another annoying thing is the volume buttons on the outside of the phone are easily pressed if the phone is in your pocket and will take itself off of vibrate without you knowing.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not horrible, but I wouldn't recommend it!
I have had this phone for about 9 months.I never really had any problems with the phone such as reception or battery life.Actually, I was sort of surprised at how long I could go without charging.Speakerphone always sounded clear on my end, but occasionally the other person was unable to hear me clearly. The camera is fairly easy to use.My problems with the phone have just recently begun. The first thing to happen was that the END button stopped working completely and I could not end calls, a big problem when you weren't planning to leave a voicemail! The only other option was to close the phone to end calls.Shortly after that, the phone couldn't recognize it was closed. It thought it was always OPEN!I couldn't see who was calling from the external screen and at times, the phone would answer itself.More recently, my TALK button has been shorting out, as well as the OK button.Sprint is willing to offer a replacement phone for $35 or a new keypad for about the same.I am stuck with this phone until I'm eligible for a free phone or I can switch carriers altogether.Choose wisely!

1-0 out of 5 stars Will not Charge!
Had this phone a little over a year, same problem as everyone else. Won't charge. Shows charged, but then make one call and it is dead.

1-0 out of 5 stars Horrible sound quality.Stay away!
I have had this phone for almost a year now, and although the signal reception is great, the sound quality on this phone is HORRIBLE!I have to ask the person calling me to repeat themselves at least once every call because the voice quality is so muddy. My wife has a different (and cheaper) phone and it sounds MUCH better. The only reason I have put up with it this long is I do not use my phone very often.I would not recommend this phone to anyone. This phone sounds worse than any other phone I have owned.Stay away from this phone!!! ... 1-0 out of 5 stars The Worst Phone I Ever Had
I've been through quite a few phones in the past couple years (Nokia, LG, Motorola, and now this Samsung) and I have got to say that this is by far the worst of the bunch. This phone fails at almost everything that makes a cellphone good. The reception is terrible (A two minute conversation takes 10 minutes because you and the person on the other end always need to repeat yourselves), It does not keep your contacts organized very well (multiple entries for the same person if they have more than one number...), a ludicrous "Push to talk" feature that is entirely worthless...even the alarm clock is needlessly complicated.
1-0 out of 5 stars I hate this phone!!
I bought 2 of these phones in April because of the Push to Talk feature.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Phone, Minute Setbacks
I've had this phone for a couple of months now, and so far, no major complaints.
3-0 out of 5 stars A mixed bag review
I have been using this phone for the past 6months and have had a mixed review to present.
4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Style and Quality
I have had this phone for about a month now and am very familiar with its operation and features. When I first took it out of the box, I was extremely impressed by its looks. The black and silver contrast against one another very well for a beautiful finish. The screen is extremely large and very shiny when the LCD is not lit. It does collect fingerprints easily, but simply wiping the screen on a shirt or something for a few seconds cleans it right up.

This basic phone from Motorola just got better. Like its predecessor, the V60p, it has push-to-talk capabilities, but with the addition of a color main screen and a larger supplementary screen. With a push-to-talk subscription from Verizon Wireless, you can communicate walkie-talkie style with a co-worker or entire teams anywhere in the country. 1-0 out of 5 stars Warranty? What warranty?
I had been very happy with my Motorola phone until the battery started losing its charge within a day, even when the phone was turned off. The friendly but incompetent customer support kept me on the phone for an average of 40 minutes for the repeated calls trying to figure out the problem. After the phone had finally been sent to their technical service center, they returned it to me that the phone was irreperable "due to customer abuse." I have done nothing to that phone that could have caused any damage (unless using it to make phone calls counts as "customer abuse"), but got the same comment, without explanation after I had sent the phone in for a second time for reevaluation. It seems that Motorola is just trying to get out of fixing or replacing the phone free of charge under warranty. You'll be fine with a Motorola phone as long as it works. After that, you're on your own.

4-0 out of 5 stars very solid phone
This is the updated version of the v60p, which I have.I would assume that it is built nearly identically to the v60p.As of today, I've had my v60p for 18 months, and it is still in great shape. The flip mechanism is still very strong, the reception is very good, the speakerphone is very clear, it is quite small yet still pretty ergonomic (fits faces well), and I have dropped it several times and said to myself, "well, it HAS to be broken this time," and it still works.I think this may be due to the fact that the phone's outer, interchangeable coverings are made of metal (stainless steel I guess). In other words, I feel like this thing is bomb-proof.I got it just before camera phones and downloadable ringtones were so popular, so I am dying to get a new one at the end of my two year contract, but I don't regret it because I don't think many other phones would still be functioning after the abuse I've inflicted upon it.This new version has the Get it Now features, so with this phone you're getting a durable handset with all the bells and whistles except a camera.High recommendation if you don't need or want a camera. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Affordability Plus!$3/month
If you don't use this phone, it costs $3/month.Normal hours til 9 p.m. it's 12 cents per minute, which is a bit less than half of what most prepaid phones cost.Perfect for my occasional use and for locating family members when I'm in transit and feel that I simply must know where they are and what they are doing.I don't use cell phones much, but if I must have one, I might as well have one that doesn't make me worry about another huge bill. For kids who think they can mangle the budget, forget it cuz when the card is used up -- that's it kiddo.Once they use up the card, the only number they can dial is 911, but that's it.Bonus features: clock is always accurate and it has a great alarm which tells me when to get up to go to work and another to tell me when to go home at the end of the day.At some point, I might not be able to live without this. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars This is why I love LG!
I've had this phone for about two months and absolutely love it! The camera takes WONDERFULLY clear pics and I also like the ability to take video clips. The mp3 is amazing. The phone is a bit larger than I would like but then again, I'm coming from a LG 3200. But it still fits into the little 5th pocket of my jeans which is where I would put my 3200. The screens are very bright and large. The speaker phone is nice and loud but there seems to be a bit of an echo and you have the keep the phone opened when using it:( The other ONLY thing I don't like about the phone is the 3-4 second delay when taking a picture. Other than that, it's a wonderful phone! I would recommend it to anybody.

4-0 out of 5 stars Love my LG VX8100!!!
I have the LG VX8100 and I can't find anything wrong with it.I love this phone.I have had it for 8 months.I am still happy with it.I am glad I got it.As for the people complaining about the reception. The only thing I wish it would do is hold more ring tones and use your sounds for ringtones.I would never trade it in for a Motorola.I had one and it didn't work, I had to send my Moto 3 times for the year I had it and still had trouble with it.

5-0 out of 5 stars WoW
Well a lot of the reviews are long so i'll make mine short and sweet. This phone is great if you already know how to take care of a phone if this is your first phone not so much. The picture and video quality is GREAT!!!! But the ringtones aren't very cool if that is what your looking for. The music cost a lot you can get it cheaper from itunes!

4-0 out of 5 stars Good solid phone
I have 3 sanyo 3100 phones with sprint. I have silver for me, brown for my son and pink for my daughter. The phones are sold, easy to use and have decent reception. The phones hold up well for the teenagers constant use.We love the phones so far.Service from Sprint is not so good, but the plan and phone are great for families.

5-0 out of 5 stars AWESOME PHONE!
I have the pink sanyo 3100 and I absolutely love it!!!!I receive great signals, sound quality, and plus it's so cute.I love Sprints monthly plans. It's perfect for me because my husband and his family have Nextel phones, and with Sprint, I have unlimited mobile to mobile with Nextel for $5 a month.I refuse to pay for Nextel's monthly rates like them. The picture quality isn't the greatest, but I don't really use it for that.As far as T-Mobile being a great company like the first girl said, it is NOT a great company.Eveyone I talk to says that T-Mobile is aweful.I used to have T-mobile and they never had towers to give me reception when I traveled!!!!!!So, if you're looking for a cute phone with great sound quality and good reception, with a great company, this is it!!!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Sanyo 3100
A couple days after my 22nd birthday my parents and I went to the sprint store to get me a new phone.I had the pink sanyo 3100 and I really didnt like it.The reception was terrible, the battery life was terrible, the camera was the worst (it only takes like ten picuters and then you gotta delete some), the menu was hard to figure out and it was way over priced $150.After two months of use I convinced my parents to change to cingular as all my friends have it and I wanted my calls to be free (mobile to mobile). It took a couple of weeks to convince my mom to change to cingular because she had been with sprint for four years and the customer service was great. She did look into cingular and found out that they had roll over minutes which sprint did not and decided that should would switch to cingular. I was considering t mobile but my friend michelle told me she had it for a year, hated it, switched to cingular and absolutely loves it.My mom is very happy with her black razor and cingular as I am with my magenta razor and cingular and my dad loves his nokia 6102 :) Thank you cingular for making phones that are great looking, are easy to opporate and do not get frequent dropped calls :) ... 1-0 out of 5 stars RUN AWAY - this product defines caveat emptor!
I do not review things, and I have an extremely high level of tolerance for product functioning. Nevertheless, I am so fed up with my palmOne Treo 650 (which I have owned for a year), that I have called Verizon today, complained to Palm, joined a class action, and reactiviated my several year-old flip phone that has water damage. Yes - my water damaged, cheap LG phone functions better than my palm treo.

This handset offers speaker-independent voice recognition, which allows any user to dial a number by speaking the name of a contact from a phone book, or by speaking the digits of a phone number. When this voice technology is used with the two-way speaker phone and a prominent speaker that lets you talk when the clamshell is open or closed, the VX4700 allows for true hands-free operation. Plus, with a push-to-talk subscription from Verizon Wireless, you can communicate walkie-talkie style with a co-worker or entire teams anywhere in the country.Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars I hate this phone
I got this phone in January and it broke IN HALF in May.The ribbon wire that holds the phone together just frayed apart.I wasn't rough with the phone.I didn't drop it on the ground. This phone is just poorly made. From day one it started falling apart.Small pieces and screws fell out and eventually it just split in two.The phone spontaneously goes into "driving mode" which is pointless and announces whoever is calling. The speaker phone button on the side goes on all the time when you don't want it to also. After the phone broke in half, I had it replaced by my insurance. That was in June. Now it is the beginning of August and the speaker button on the side of the phone is permanently lodged into the phone and won't come out.So my phone is constantly on speaker phone and the Verizon Wireless store won't do anything about it.Don't get this phone.
2-0 out of 5 stars Not as good as it's predecessor
I had my old LG for three years until it died. I upgraded to this one and have been wanting my old one back every since. I'll start with cons since they're easy and then add the pros if I can think of any.
4-0 out of 5 stars The best phone I've ever owned!
Finally, finally, finally. A phone that is GOOD at what it's supposed to do. First I'll tell you, I'm not impressed by all the ridiculous gadgets they put on phones so they can sell more of them. Cameras, MP3 players and the like. I have a Sony Digital camera and an Ipod. I wouldn't want to use those to call my mom, just as I don't want to use my phone to take lousy pictures.

3-0 out of 5 stars Great For a While, And Then . . .
I've had my E715 for over two years now, and my screen fried at the 1 1/2 year mark. It can still see things on the screen, but it's as if someone turned up the brightness feature so high that everything is washed out. I can barely read menus, and forget about having any wallpapers or seeing any photos. I wish the screen had lasted longer. I am currently searching for a different phone.

3-0 out of 5 stars My Experiences...
I've had this phone for about a year now, but after about 6 months the screen showed signs of damage. The screen is so bright that you can hardly read the menu prompts and there are lines going through the screen. I had never dropped the phone before the screen exhibited these problems. A friend with the same phone told me that he had dealt with the same problems, fortunately for him he had insurance (I do not [long story]).
4-0 out of 5 stars e715
I have used this model for two years now.I find that I really like this phone, but I notice the horizontal white lines across the screen also.

5-0 out of 5 stars Forget all the hype - this is a nice phone
I'm sick of seeing razrs everywhere. I went from this to a razr and back to this again, because this is a great phone.
4-0 out of 5 stars Big Fatty does a decent job
The Nokia 6600 has a colorful screen with easy to use menus. The battery life is okay with a lithium-ion battery. You can change out the face plates if you get sick of the color you currently have and you can store multiple phone numbers per contact name in addition to some other details such as address, company, etc. The downside of this phone is it's big/fat and the loading of some menu options can be slow. However, it is a sturdy phone and if compared to other 'smart phones' it does a decent job. ;-) I am replacing my new razr with this one since my razr was a total lemon.

2-0 out of 5 stars i dont believe it is nokia

1-0 out of 5 stars Try tracfone instead !!!
Tracfone gives better deals in minutes. It is perfect for those with light, in town usage. It only uses one unit per minute, two if you're outside of your area code(roaming), and long distance doesn't cost any extra. The airtime doesn't cost a fortune, and you have no credit checks, or monthly bills. Reception is good because they utilize many different providers instead of just one. They also have a referral program, so you can earn 100 extra minutes for free if your friends and family buy one too(they also get 180 minutes). If you want a referral to get started with 100 free minutes, just e-mail me at amitgames@yahoo.com , I'd be happy to send you the link!

3-0 out of 5 stars Durable but...
I bought my phone in February 2003, so it is about a year and a half old.
4-0 out of 5 stars good little phone!
Got this phone with the T Mobile prepaid plan.I got mine at Target for $119.Be sure to check T Mobile's website for any rebates they may be offering. It's a fine little phone--it's so small! It fits in my jeans pocket.I can't download any ringtones; because I'm a prepaid customer, which is kind of disappointing.I couldn't get a signal in Longbeach, WA, but my husband's Verizon phone got a signal.Probably a T Mobile issue. But I'm hardly ever in Longbeach; usually, I have as many or more bars on my signal finder as my husband has on his Verizon phone. It's easy to use and easy to check my minutes balance. The only thing is, I can't figure out how to make it ring more than four times before going to voicemail--it takes me a long time to get the phone out of my pocket and then answer it; and just as I say hello, it has gone to voicemail.Overall, I'm quite satisfied with the T Mobile prepaid plan and the V66 phone. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars The phone battery drains very quickly
The phone battery drains very quickly, the problem may be is with the Sprint service and not with the phone, cause I used the same phone with a GSM service and the battery lasted for approx 3-5 days and now the abttery lasts barely for a day(with a talk time of 15-30 mins).
4-0 out of 5 stars Not bad but didn't stand up to tough wear
I have been a long time customer of Nokia and have tried other brands but Nokia is the only brand that really gives consistently good service I can count on. I got a pair of these phones - one for me and one for my son. And had the same strengths and weaknesses with both. As far as the noise it makes when it takes photos - you can change the sound so that it is silent if you prefer. The camera doesn't take expremely clear photos but honestly about half of the camera phones I have seen have the same problem with not devoting enough pixel space - it's a camera phone. I really like the reliability of service though. Battery lasted a really long time and didn't have a problem with missed messages or dropped calls like I'd had with other phones. The big problem was - it did not stand up to the tough beating both me and my son put a cell phone through. ONly lasted about a year before the connective case started to fall apart, the on off switch stopped working, the face got scratched...the mechanics are great but the outer components are way too fragile unless you buy a case or are a very careful gentle person.

4-0 out of 5 stars Okay little phone for the price
I like my little Nokia PM. When I went to buy it I just wanted the cheapest phone that was a little better than my LG I was using. I had my land phone cut off because people only call on my cell phone. I was going to get the plain Nokia but this one was on sale for just 10.00 more. My college age kid has the Sanyo 8200 and I won't lie her camera is fantastic because it zooms and has a flash but for an extra 10.00 I always have a camera handy and most of my pics have come out pretty decent. They always look better once they are on my PC. I haven't used the radio on the phone. I didn't get it for that purpose but I have the headset. Sprint's been decent to me and I got this in the Sprint store so for the price it is a good deal. Cell phones are just so expensive now due to all of the gadgets. This is a good basic phone. Don't expect expensive phone reception or expensive phone camera options when you are paying the bare minimum for a cell phone. I give it an A.It serves my purpose. Has my phone book in it and I don't lose calls like I did on my old LG phone. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Dead after 2 years
The buttons on the side frequently sounds when some object touchs them in pocket. It is hard to open the flipper and loose many calls by not being able to open it on time. Too heavy!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointed in Motorola
I am so disappointed with this phone. I bought it 2-3 years ago from Cingular Wireless and there have been a number of issues.1) The phone drops calls between 8 - 15 minutes of talk time.I reported to Cingular and was told this was a known problem and the phone should be powered off for a few seconds, every 3 days. 2) The phone automatically connects to the internet about every 20 minutes round the clock all throughout the day and night. I've tried locking the phone, locking access to the Web and when I get my billing statement there are 1 second connect charges all throughout the day, round the clock. Remedy from Cingular: Get another phone or disconnect the internet.I'm no longer under warranty. 3) Ringtones ring out of turn. I have assigned ringtones to specific people in my address book and sometimes a tone assigned to a specific person, rings when another person calls.Remedy from Cingular: Get another phone.
1-0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointed - Can't hear anyone, Cingular will not remedy
I am so disappointed with this phone.I fought hard to convince my wife I needed this more expensive model so that I could get the speaker version for work calls, while she got a plain vanilla model (Nokia I think).Well, the speaker phone works ok, but little did I realize until the warranty wore off is the volume of the regular press-to-ear mode fades terribly. If you are not in the quietest environments, don't expect to hear anyone. It's very embarrassing to call someone while driving and have to tell them you cannot talk because you can't hear them over your car (I have an '02 Subaru, so it's not exactly a monster truck show SUNDAY-SUNDAY-SUNDAY level of volume).Cingular wouldn't do anything for me.I had even bought the insurance for it and asked if I could get the much cheaper, plain vanilla model my wife has.Absolutely not, have to get the same model phone (a refurbished one). But Ms. Cingular representative, this other phone is much cheaper and you can actually hear = SORRY, HAS TO BE EXACT SAME PHONE.Argh! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great, durable, comfortable phone to carry around
This is a great durable little, sleek phone that fits in your jeans' pockets. True, it doesn't have MP3 and does not come with an included Camera, and, though It'd be cool to have those, I don't really see the disadvantage on that. The only problem I've got with this phone is that the highest volume for the ring tones is not enough for *me*, as I tend to have it inside my purse that's inside a drawer, on my noisy factory office - A lot of machine noise in the environment-, so I miss many calls.
5-0 out of 5 stars Dont believe the trash talk...great little phone!
