1-0 out of 5 stars Horrible
I take great care of my phone, yet this phone has a camaera that no longer takes pictures, it constantly drops calls (for whatever reason), it has horrible ringtones (unless you like really bad elevator music or the sound of very light bells). It's slow to respond to dialing too.
5-0 out of 5 stars Even better than I thought
Everyone in my family has Motorolas (V400, V220, T720) so I was used to those and was skeptical about getting an LG. glad I did! The screen is better than my sisters V400 (it says 128x160 pixles, but looks FAR better) the keys and phone have a good, sturdy feel. The camera is awesome for a camera phone, it looks like a 2 or 3 MP camera!!!! (no, seriously) although there are 3 keys that have to do with the camera...they're not intrusive, but i think its a little overkill. While closed, you can light up the screen, see time OR date, and flip between vibrate and normal sound. VERY conveinient. The screen is bright (inside and out) the sound of ringtones and while talking is awesome. When you turn the ringing volume up its EXTREMELY LOUD, so you never have to wish it were louder. Signal is great. The included ringtones and wallpapers arent the best (there are only 4 wallpapers) but you can get some others online. all in all, GREAT phone!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great phone, not-so-great ringtones
Upgraded from the Nokia 3650 because I wanted a camera phone.Picture quality is decent enough considering it's a phone.Reception is great, all the time.I've had this phone for two months and have dropped only one call, early on.The interface is very easy to understand.

2-0 out of 5 stars Buyer Beware!
The camera's zoom features went out after 2 months. Now, 18 months later the camera no longer works, but I didn't use it all that much to begin with. The reception is pretty lousy and I had the typical commerical ad happen to me when during the WORST time it could happen, it went completely DEAD! As of now, I can call manually and receive calls but heaven forbid it goes into voicemail. The battery won't stay charged, the screen won't work (I get nothing but transposed gibberish)and I can't retrieve any info. I thank God my contract will be up soon. This phone is a piece of JUNK. PHOOEY!

2-0 out of 5 stars Great phone! Until it starts messing up...
I had this phone for nearly a year with no problems, aside from the camera inexplicably stopping working. A few months ago the battery on the phone started draining within 8 hours of being fully charged. I sent for a replacement and within a few weeks it started doing it again, but this time it shuts off randomly.
1-0 out of 5 stars JUNK!!!
Do NOT by this phone. One of the worst. Freezes up, the camera does not work. BAD SERVICE ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Ehhhh it's OK
The phone is a basic stripped cell. Great screen color and easy usability. The coverage was not as good as my husband's nokia (cingular) or his nextel. I felt like I was deaf. since i couldn't hear unless I was in complete silence. A fine generic phone withh average features.

3-0 out of 5 stars Okay phone really bad service
This is an okay phone if you don't want a fancy flip phone or you have never had a cell phone. It is easy to use, compact and light. There is a dark side to all this. The phone is fragile. It doesn't take to being dropped very well. The ringtones are stupid and not very loud. If you would like to download ringtones that can run you from $2.49 to $2.99. At T-Mobile I can get them for a dollar less. The reception for Cingular is truly pathetic. I couldn't get reception anywhere and that bothered me. I was dropping calls all the time.

4-0 out of 5 stars Works for me!
Honestly I don't know what everyone is complaing about, the phone works great for me! Maybe I got lucky, not sure, but I have no complaints. The reception isnt the best, but again I live in the mountains and thats normal for us with any phone or carrier. I havent had any dropped calls, ever, the battery is strong, it surfs the web fine, stores my numbers. This phone is excellent for me because all I need is a phone and text messaging. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars I530-AWEFUL!!!!
MY HUSBAND BOUGHT THE NEXTEL I530 A YEAR AGO. WHEN WE LIVED IN PHILADELPHIA, HE GOT GOOD RECEPTION, ETC. NOW HIS PHONE SHUTS OFF WHEN HE TALKING TO SOMEONE, NO ONE CAN REACH HIM BECAUSE A MESSAGE COMES ON SAYING "PLEASE HOLD WHILE WE TRY TO CONTACT THIS NEXTEL SUBSCRIBER." HE DOESN'T GET RECEPTION IN CHALFONT, PLYMOUTH MEETING, AND SOME AREA OF PHILADELPHIA. MY HUSBAND TOOK IT TO CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR THE 4TH TIME NOW AND THE GUY TOLD HIM ALOT OF PEOPLE HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS PHONE. MOTOROLA STOPPED MAKING IT. HE HAS ALSO LOST ALOT OF BUSINESS WITH THIS PHONE BECAUSE NO ONE CAN GET THROUGH. HIM AND I BOTH GOT NEW UPGRADED PHONES AND WE LOVE THEM. JUST SO YOU KNOW, I530 STINKS!!!!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Tough but basic
I bought this phone knowing it didn't have many extras. It is great for what it is.I've always gotten a great signal and sound quality, everyone says it sounds like a landline phone when I talk to them on it, and it's sturdy as can be.There was even a time when I fell at Oktoberfest and landed right on it, but it was no worse for it.My contract is up so I'm getting another phone with more toys on it (camera, mp3 player, etc.), but I can't say anything bad about this phone other than that the battery seems to wear down faster than other phones I have had.If you need a tough phone with a good signal and don't need any toys on it, this one is great! ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Great For a While, And Then . . .
I've had my E715 for over two years now, and my screen fried at the 1 1/2 year mark. It can still see things on the screen, but it's as if someone turned up the brightness feature so high that everything is washed out. I can barely read menus, and forget about having any wallpapers or seeing any photos. I wish the screen had lasted longer. I am currently searching for a different phone.

3-0 out of 5 stars My Experiences...
I've had this phone for about a year now, but after about 6 months the screen showed signs of damage. The screen is so bright that you can hardly read the menu prompts and there are lines going through the screen. I had never dropped the phone before the screen exhibited these problems. A friend with the same phone told me that he had dealt with the same problems, fortunately for him he had insurance (I do not [long story]).
4-0 out of 5 stars e715
I have used this model for two years now.I find that I really like this phone, but I notice the horizontal white lines across the screen also.

5-0 out of 5 stars Phone Review
I know people that have had this phone in the Upstate NY area and have had wonderful experiences with this phone and other Moto phones. As for the idiot who had either poor or NO service with Nextel and stayed for 2 years and did not cancel there contract and pay the 200 dollar cancellation fee,I wish I could sell them something. How foolish could someone be,paying for NO SERVICE

1-0 out of 5 stars WARNING
My problems with nextel did not stop when I canceled my service. I will get to the problems with the service. When I went to get a new phone a day before my contract expired, I of course wanted to keep my number. So as I went to get my Cingular phone (highly recommended), I had the old number switched to my new number. Today, I get in the mail my nextel statement for the month with a $200 early termination even though I had not canceled my service, but had simply got a new phone and switched my number over. This was on icing on the cake after 2 years of absolutely amazingy bad service from nextel. In my town, not a small town by any means, there are very few places that have any service. In the largest subdivision, you cannot get service anywhere. I constantly get comments from people trying to reach me that get the classic nextel line...Please hold while the nextel subscriber you are trying to reach is located. Most of the time I would not even recieve incoming calls, calls would go straight to my voice mail. Not only would I not get the calls, but often I would not even get the voice mails until days or even weeks later. When I did actually take calls (and call out), I cannot count the number of times I've had my call dropped. I recieved so many different error messages sometimes I wonder if they just spend all their time at nextel thinking of different error messages to program into their phones. That brings me to the selling point of nextel, the famed and well-loved direct connect feature. This is an absolute joke. Direct connect only works MAYBE half the time I tried to use it. Even then, in the middle of the conversation I would be greeted by the loud beep of my phone telling me I wont be talking to that person anymore. Of course, I would expect nothing less from the nextel network. Text messaging with nextel is next to impossible. If it did not take hours to send or recieve a message, it took days, or maybe didn't even come at all. The internet access was fine, it the rare instance that it worked. Of course, when you don't have service, you don't get the internet access either. I was constantly getting the message "network not available". Calling and trying to complain to nextel is futile. Trying to get through to customer service takes forever and once you get through they do nothing. My experience with nextel has been nothing short of a disaster and I write this trying to warn anyone considering nextel. Stick with Verizon or Cingular and you will be much happier in the end. Don't make the same mistake I did.

4-0 out of 5 stars A good, utilitarian phone...
For those who just want a phone without the hassle of tons of options, it's a good phone.I've had the phone for almost two years, and I've never had a problem with it.It's fairly rugged, dependable, and an ok battery life.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Satisfied
I've had this phone for several years. For a while after purchasing this phone I had quite a few problems with the connection breaking up and such.Cingular couldn't help me other even after exchanging the phone out. They told me at the time that it was the phone and not the service. As a result, I started shopping for another phone and wound up with the Motorola V551 which I've been using for over a year now.I like this phone, but not the size and weight, so recently I switched back to the Samsung 307 because it is so much smaller and easy to use.Well, guess what, the signal strength is far better than it was, and calls are as good as the Motorola, so it was Cingular all this time and not the phone.I would highly recommend this phone for anyone who is not necessarily interested in having a camera phone. An especially nice feature of this phone is how the numbers are enlarged on the screen when entered on the keypad. No more squinting to make sure you've dialed the correct number. The calendar with alert reminders is also a very nice feature.I am now entirely happy with the performance and features of this phone.I may never go back to the Motorola.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Phone,Super Small, no problems at all! Love it!
I have had this phone for at least a year and half, maybe almost 2. I'm surprised to see the lower ratings given by other users. It is SUPER small, which I love. Slips right into your pocket and is very light. The interface is easy to use- big phone book, lots of ring tones, tracks incoming calls, outgoing calls, etc. Text messaging easy to use- predictive T9 text makes it so simple once you figure it out.It doesn't have a camera or someother high tech stuff, but if what you want is a PHONE for making calls and not feeling like you have a rock in your purse or pocket- this lil' phone can't be beat. The battery holds up well, I rarely have a droped call. The external display shows time and incoming phone numbers when the phone rings.Call waiting is great- and there is call waiting ID. My husband got this phone for me and I didn't realize that it is so tiny in comparision to other phones, until I recently started shopping for another phone for my daughter. I think I'm going to go with this one again, as I know it will work well in our area, and the price has come way down from the over $200 that we paid nearly 2 years ago. It has web capability and IMing capability but I've never used it. In summary- I'm looking for another one because we like it so much- I haven't had a single problem with this phone in nearly 2 years!

5-0 out of 5 stars Mathilda loves it.
I like my phones like I like my super-model walk offs:The first phone walks, the second phone imitates and innovates.Well, Samsung isn't imitating anyone with their innovation.

3-0 out of 5 stars i own dis damn thing
Pros.
3-0 out of 5 stars A Teen's take on the x427
I received the Samsung x427 complementary for signing up for a two-year agreement with Cingular. It was pretty nice having a color phone, with real sounding ring tones, a sleek design, long battery life, and of course getting it for free. Not a bad way for someone's first phone. For a couple of months I was the "cool kid" for having a phone, not to mention a pretty small one. That only lasted a little bit.As we all know technology evolves real fast, and that left my phone in the dust. Here's my list of the pros and cons of the Samsung x427
1-0 out of 5 stars do not buy this
Usually I have little or no tower signal.I have many dropped calls and have NEVER had a clear call.It is fuzzy, and many times I can't hear the person on the other end or they can't hear me. I like the phone itself. But I have to say that the reception is more important, otherwise the phone is worthless.Cingular (like a person in another review mentioned) is not willing to upgrade the phone without a 2 year contract and I would have to pay for the upgraded phone. No Thanks. The 1 star is only because I liked the basic features of the phone. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars GREAT PHONE
This is a very good phone. And the ringtones are good and loud.the wallpaper they provide for you on the phone are ok,MY mother bought me this phone and it is one of the best phones I have ever had.Andyou dont need a contract, all you have is top up about 20 dollars a month or whatever plan you choose. The only thing i didnt like about the slider was the screen on the outside because it scratches easy, but otherwise i would defintly recommend this phone!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Best (and coolest) little phone
I've owned this phone for about a year, and it has been the most exceptional piece of technology I have ever owned.First off, let me say this: in the year that I've had this phone, It's been dropped out of high windows onto concrete, has been slept on, kicked, dropped, you name it : and the only scars on it are a few minor scratches!!!The features on this phone are pretty cool- no advanced features like web browsing or downloadable games, but the games on there will keep you busy and the sliding desgin is really neat.Virgin Mobile's service is excellent, as well.I've had phones before this one with Virgin's service (None were as wonderful as the V5 slider) and they always had all of the bars almost everywhere I went, even on a weekend trip to Canada! The pricing on the plans are only for people who rarely use their phones, though. And about this "lookout guy" and his rundown of the prices: the line "do some freshing up on your math skills" makes me laugh every time I see it because he obviously A.) hasn't read the costs in every booklet and every webpage that has virgin mobile on it or B.) (I like to think it's this one) he doesn't know how to do math!I've had the Minute to Minute plan for all of my Virgin mobile phones, and It's quite simple: 25 cents a minute for the first 10 minutes for each day, 10 cents for every minute after the initial 10 minutes every day.I have no idea where this guy pulled the "$1.50 fee" out of his head, but the only thing I can think of is the first 10 minutes costing 25 cents, but this would mean that the so called "fee" would be $2.50.He just simply does not know what he's talking about. Also, Mr.Lookout guy, it only costs money to look at your balance the third time you look each day! Please, the next time you criticize something so harshly, do your research and try owning the product that you're criticizing! There are no hidden fees here, folks- after looking at my balance and knowing exactly how much I ued my phone and how much I should have spent, it's always correct! The bottom line for this phone AND virgin mobile: If you hardly use your cell phone OR if you're a teen, this is a great plan and phone.

4-0 out of 5 stars From Someone Who Actually Owns One...
I had the Kyocera K7 before, I've reviewed it there and I liked it. But my needs changed. My needs are fairly simple, actually. I don't care whether the screen is color or not. I'm a grownup, and so I don't need all the MTV crap. I didn't buy the phone to be a toy, but to be a PHONE.

Impressive in terms of sheer design, this little flip phone approaches perfection. A combination of equal parts efficiency and flash, the Samsung S105offers a comprehensive package of standard features and fun, useful extras. When closed, the phone appears alluringly hi-tech with its silver finish, rectangular body, and external LCD display, which shows date, time, battery level, service icon, and caller ID. And, even though the phone only weighs four ounces, it still feels substantial. When flipped open, the S105 doesn't disappoint. Its brilliant full-color LCD with its animated menus, uniquely shaped buttons, and blue backlit keypad numerals dazzles the eye. The folks at Samsung certainly know the power of symmetry, form, and color.Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars 3 stars for 12 months of performance
************Samsung in general: the speaker quit working on the first Samsung I owned (with Sprint)after about 1.5 yrs.(Sprint refused to sell me another phone at a good price without resigning a contract, so I switched to T-Mobile.)The LCD quit working on the second Samsung (my S105 through t-mobile). I dropped the 3rd one into my swimming pool on accident (e315), so it was too soon to know if it was going to be a good phone!**************The Samsung S105 was a pretty good phone overall.I switched from Sprint to T-Mobile when I purchased this phone, and the call quality was much improved - so I don't know if it was the phone or the service provider. The battery was great, the interface was easy to use.The phone felt solid, but was still dainty.Sometimes when I would try to access the phonebook it would stall out, but not very often. After about a year of solid performance, the LCD displays on both the inside and outside went blank. (To be fair, I should add that I live in FL and often had the phone clipped to my waist when working outside - so it could have been the heat.) If this phone has lasted 2 yrs I would have given it a 4 star rating.Maybe a year is more realistic?(Astonishingly enough, the LCD on the e315 phone still works after a dip in the pool, but it won't stop vibrating when I put the battery in and the keys won't work.)My advice - think about buying the insurance or paying less for a phone! ... I bought this phone because I was desperate...my beautiful LG broke, I was not able to get a new one from my cell plan, and I needed a phone. I found this unlocked phone online cheap, so I decided to give it a try.
4-0 out of 5 stars Decent phone, with one stellar feature
Ever notice how everyone screams into their cell phones? This is because, unlike landlines, you don't hear yourself speaking in the earpiece. This phone has the unusual feature of letting you hear yourself talk. My wife reports that I sound as good on this phone as a land line. Otherwise, the phone is unexceptional. Mine belongs to my company, and has been used by others in the past. It's definitely showing some body flex, and the battery needs to be recharged daily. It'd get three stars if it wasn't for the suond quality and surprising feature.

5-0 out of 5 stars Its a nice phone

4-0 out of 5 stars Good phone
Long before the Razr V3's and the V600's the Motorola V60 was considered to be the first flagship phone of Motorola ... and it has lived up to its expectations. It's been there for quite some while with no changes and yet people still go for it over the newer ones in the market.

5-0 out of 5 stars A champ!
This phone has been great. I have carried it with me everywhere I go for the last 2 1/2 years, and it has held up wonderfully. I have never had any mechanical problems, and aside from some minor cosmetic scratches from normal wear and tear this phone still looks and works just as great as it did when I bought it. I believe this was the first camera phone on the market to have both a flash and a zoom lens, and even today it takes better pictures than a lot of the new ones they are coming out with. The Internet capability was also very groundbreaking for me, and it was so convenient to be able to do things like check movie times at local theaters with the push of a fwe buttons. I'm getting to the point where I am about to upgrade, but really only for the purpose of getting a phone with camcorder and LiveMedia capability. I have had a couple of problems with the Sprint service over the years, which I think is somewhat unavoidable in this day and age, but they have always been willing to work with me and do what they could to resolve the issue. Bottom line, this phone has served me well and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good reliable camera phone.

4-0 out of 5 stars Just looking for an upgrade
When i first bought this phone 2 years ago, i fell in love! It has a camera w/ a flash, and took better pictures than most of the other phones out there at the time.
2-0 out of 5 stars Bad hinge
The flip phone hinges froze up and then one side at a time broke the plastic case and came apart until it broke the display cable. Takes the special y driver to replace the case and I can't find a Cell Phone store to replace the case.

1-0 out of 5 stars Dead after 2 years
The buttons on the side frequently sounds when some object touchs them in pocket. It is hard to open the flipper and loose many calls by not being able to open it on time. Too heavy!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointed in Motorola
I am so disappointed with this phone. I bought it 2-3 years ago from Cingular Wireless and there have been a number of issues.1) The phone drops calls between 8 - 15 minutes of talk time.I reported to Cingular and was told this was a known problem and the phone should be powered off for a few seconds, every 3 days. 2) The phone automatically connects to the internet about every 20 minutes round the clock all throughout the day and night. I've tried locking the phone, locking access to the Web and when I get my billing statement there are 1 second connect charges all throughout the day, round the clock. Remedy from Cingular: Get another phone or disconnect the internet.I'm no longer under warranty. 3) Ringtones ring out of turn. I have assigned ringtones to specific people in my address book and sometimes a tone assigned to a specific person, rings when another person calls.Remedy from Cingular: Get another phone.
1-0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointed - Can't hear anyone, Cingular will not remedy
I am so disappointed with this phone.I fought hard to convince my wife I needed this more expensive model so that I could get the speaker version for work calls, while she got a plain vanilla model (Nokia I think).Well, the speaker phone works ok, but little did I realize until the warranty wore off is the volume of the regular press-to-ear mode fades terribly. If you are not in the quietest environments, don't expect to hear anyone. It's very embarrassing to call someone while driving and have to tell them you cannot talk because you can't hear them over your car (I have an '02 Subaru, so it's not exactly a monster truck show SUNDAY-SUNDAY-SUNDAY level of volume).Cingular wouldn't do anything for me.I had even bought the insurance for it and asked if I could get the much cheaper, plain vanilla model my wife has.Absolutely not, have to get the same model phone (a refurbished one). But Ms. Cingular representative, this other phone is much cheaper and you can actually hear = SORRY, HAS TO BE EXACT SAME PHONE.Argh! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Love my phone!
This phone is great! I had this phone since January! I love my speakerphone, this come in handy for me since i'm always on the go! the thing I can't stand is that I can't type anything in the display or have screensaver. Other then that it's worth it!

2-0 out of 5 stars pretty junky
I am not a fan of this phone.I've had it for about a year, and is is experiencing a long, slow, death. The features are nothing to write home about, and I would not say it is durable (both the internal and external displays are now cracked). The camera is ok, but there is very little memory inside the phone, and i never found a way to get pictures off the phone without emailing/SMS-ing them, which Cingular charges *way* too much for.I am probably going to break my contract with cingular and suck up the termination fee, rather than trying to get this thing to last another year.

The Audiovox CDM8900 from Verizon Wireless might look like just another flip-phone, but its Internet and data capability, integrated camera, voice-activated dialing, and tri-mode operation are just some of the features under the hood that make this phone a winner. 1-0 out of 5 stars Not very good at all...
At the time (almost 2 years ago) this phone seemed like it had alot of good features, but the bad far outweighs the good. The camera and screen are next to worthless, you can never make out the pictures, calls are often dropped, verizon has disabled many features - like they do with all of their phones.Counting the days until my contract ends...

2-0 out of 5 stars Basic phone: good at first, then slowly declines
I purchased this phone almost two years ago. Within the first week of having it I noticed that some calls were not being logged in my 'recent calls' folder. Weird. So I had it replaced...but the same thing happened with the new phone. At the time I didn't really care and had no interest trying to research a better phone. This was probably a foreshadowing of just how "blah" this phone has been.

it works for almost exactly one year, but then it completely falls apart.i don't abuse it, yet it's still extremely unreliable, not to mention obnoxious.

5-0 out of 5 stars My Christmas Present Gets 5 stars!
I think this phone is really great I got it for Christmas and I love it!

2-0 out of 5 stars It broke after one month and reception is poor.
The antenna broke after one month and there is no replacement available from Samsung. They said to send it in, which means I would be without my phone for who knows how long. Then I read some reviews about poor reception from this phone and decided just to buy a new Motorola e815 (at the full price) and the difference is incredible. Also, if I break the Motorola antenna it easily unscrews so I can replace it. The Samsung is half the phone of the Motorola. There is no comparison.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best phones out there in the market.
I had this phone for about 7 months now and it's been amazing ever since I bought it.This phone has everything one could ask for.Mega-pixel Camera w/ flash is really awesome. You can take a real clear pictures. The dual LCD screens are 262k in color, compared to only 56k color for most other color phones. The graphics are really excellent. You can also watch TV and play 3D games. The list goes on.....With Amazon, you can get this phone for $150 now.Which is great since I paid $300 when it first came out. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars I love my phone.
At first, when I was switching over from a basic cell phone, I didn't know if I wanted one that was going to have so many features to it. But after getting this phone, I love it and I barely ever have any trouble with it. It has frozen up on me a couple times, but I have had it for almost a year now and it really has only been a couple times. But overall, it has been great! I love the mp3 feature.

Why settle for less, or commit yourself to a specific cellular provider and service plan, when you can get a complimentary unlocked top of the line Motorola RAZR v3i cell phone that works with any cellular service provider and any SIM card. I got mine free at this web site:reallyfree2u.com/razrv3i

3-0 out of 5 stars defaults to T9Word
The phone is okay by most criteria and the camera has a nice little protective sliding cover for the lens. The big drawback -- in "MEMO" the default text entry mode is T9Word (that gimmicky little program that guesses what word you're trying to type and imposes its guess) which I deeply hate, and is inappropriate for anyone with more than a third grade vocabulary, or anyone who needs to make up their own abbreviations to fit the limitations of the memo memory (who doesn't?!!)Furthermore, the phone won't let you shift to ABC mode immediately after selecting the memo function. You have to start typing in T9Word, then shift to ABC.It's insane and very irritating. There's no way to change the default, or to disable or remove the T9Word mode. For this alone, I wish I hadn't gotten this phone. ...
