4-0 out of 5 stars Good solid phone
I have 3 sanyo 3100 phones with sprint. I have silver for me, brown for my son and pink for my daughter. The phones are sold, easy to use and have decent reception. The phones hold up well for the teenagers constant use.We love the phones so far.Service from Sprint is not so good, but the plan and phone are great for families.

5-0 out of 5 stars AWESOME PHONE!
I have the pink sanyo 3100 and I absolutely love it!!!!I receive great signals, sound quality, and plus it's so cute.I love Sprints monthly plans. It's perfect for me because my husband and his family have Nextel phones, and with Sprint, I have unlimited mobile to mobile with Nextel for $5 a month.I refuse to pay for Nextel's monthly rates like them. The picture quality isn't the greatest, but I don't really use it for that.As far as T-Mobile being a great company like the first girl said, it is NOT a great company.Eveyone I talk to says that T-Mobile is aweful.I used to have T-mobile and they never had towers to give me reception when I traveled!!!!!!So, if you're looking for a cute phone with great sound quality and good reception, with a great company, this is it!!!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Sanyo 3100
A couple days after my 22nd birthday my parents and I went to the sprint store to get me a new phone.I had the pink sanyo 3100 and I really didnt like it.The reception was terrible, the battery life was terrible, the camera was the worst (it only takes like ten picuters and then you gotta delete some), the menu was hard to figure out and it was way over priced $150.After two months of use I convinced my parents to change to cingular as all my friends have it and I wanted my calls to be free (mobile to mobile). It took a couple of weeks to convince my mom to change to cingular because she had been with sprint for four years and the customer service was great. She did look into cingular and found out that they had roll over minutes which sprint did not and decided that should would switch to cingular. I was considering t mobile but my friend michelle told me she had it for a year, hated it, switched to cingular and absolutely loves it.My mom is very happy with her black razor and cingular as I am with my magenta razor and cingular and my dad loves his nokia 6102 :) Thank you cingular for making phones that are great looking, are easy to opporate and do not get frequent dropped calls :) ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Not Worth It.
It was Christmas time and I was looking at cell phones from VM. This was a while ago when I was just looking for a phone to tell my mom "Hey, I need picked up from school now!" I looked at this one and I thought it was the COOLEST DARN PHONE IN THE WORLD.
4-0 out of 5 stars Great phone for minimal use
This phone has treated me well. Have had it for almost 3 years and it's very durable. Has not failed me. The VM plan is great for emergencies. (lookout guy has it wrong I believe). I pay $20 for 3 months worth of service. I rarely use it, but on occasion do make calls; just not everyday. Minute2minute is not an everyday use plan! I always have $$ leftover when I need to top up every 3 months. So, I am basically paying $7 a month for the security of a reliable phone. Can't beat it!
4-0 out of 5 stars Not bad
This phone always worked well for me the only thing that I didn't like about it is that the screen is hard to see other than that it is a great phone ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Great PDA but not made to last....
I've been through three of them.I'm not particularly hard on my phones and I use very little phone time but this phone always breaks in the same place (which is on the corner of the flip top) and beware, that is not covered under any warranty.I've paid $70 twice for two rebuilt ones and full price for my original. It works well but the design is very poor.Never again do I get a flip top phone or PDA.

1-0 out of 5 stars Hinge Jerry-Rigging Suggestion
Don't buy this product. It is absolutely the most frustrating piece of equipment I have ever owned.Like 99% of people who buy this phone my hinges broke.Once SuperGlue stopped working I attemped several different methods of fixing the hinges myself. Currently my 270 is no longer hinged on the top.It now opens out to the right side thanks to a beautifully inexpensive hinge made out of Scotch packing tape.Needless to say it is not functioning as a phone. If you're using yours as a PDA only like I am, then you can try this. I would like to have fixed it the proper way but after reading the experiences that others have had with PalmOne and TMobile, it's not worth it. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Dont get this phone
I have this phone and i dont get good reception when im in buildings. The end call button stops working sometimes and you have to turn it off in order to end your call.It is cracking at the top part where it flips. My boyfriend had this problem when he had the motorola 720 and it broke, and he had to get a new phone. My advice is not to get a flip phone because eventually it will break and you will need a new phone. Also, the screen gets dirty easily and I have to clean it with windex. It only has one game and after a week you'll get tired of it.

5-0 out of 5 stars my favorite phone
This phone is excellent. When I was first purchasing it, I was alittle skeptical of what to expect based on other reveiws. However this phone is my favorite. The only thing that I could have asked Motorola to fix is probably the camera, and maybe the speaker.Don''t get me wtrong. The camera works fine, except that if you are in a dark zone, the picture may not turn out good on the camera, but if you e-mail it to somebody, then the picture looks like it was taken from a digital camera (its that good)The problem with the speaker is that it does not play ring tones very loud, and the louder you play the ringtones, the more blury they get. A feature that I think is very cool is the internet browser. You can visit any web page you would like. All in all, I thik this phone is perfect for someone who is looking to buy a cheap updated camera phone with all the gadgets. I would rate this phone a 5 out of 5.

4-0 out of 5 stars Elegant
This phone, despite all its problems, is by far my favorite cell phone ever. No, it doesn't have a camera. Yes, I too had trouble with the screen dying after 2 years (just as I was switching services, fortunately). So I wouldn't go buying one used.
4-0 out of 5 stars If your display dies...
Very common for the display screens (internal and external) on these phone to die after a year or two. Mine died after 2.5 years...BUT, I went into the LA Sprint Phone Store and they said, "this is a known problem" and replaced it on the spot for free with another one (factory reconditioned) and transferred the phone book entries. I did NOT have an extended contract. Pretty cool.

4-0 out of 5 stars i500
I really like this phone, although sometimes I wish more of its functions could be operated without the stylus, for when I am trying to one-hand it in the car or something. The quick buttons are great because you can assign them different destinations if you chose and the interent capabilities are much better than my last phone. I do wish though that it had a camera. The battery life is also very good.

4-0 out of 5 stars I've seen worse;-)
I like my phone! And it's ok that I can't text message out...I do wish I could use the browser instead of having to download a now one.

4-0 out of 5 stars PDA and phone in a compact package
No text messaging?I could not begin to care less.It is a PDA, better yet, it is a Palm OS PDA.I can link my Lotus Notes information to my Palm, including all of my addresses, phone numbers, notes, to-do lists, etc.I can write notes, transport documents from the office to home and make phone calls all in one very neat little package.I can surf the web, pick-up email and do a search on Google. Why would I need the kiddie feature of text messaging?

4-0 out of 5 stars Worth it!
i had samsung v205 for almost 3 years now and all i can say is it's one of the best phones i have ever had. although there are some darwbacks such as low batt life and sometimes it turns off by itself. Nevertheless, it is the best!i will never regret buying one and im delightful coz it's still working after all the heat, and drop!Viva la V205!

4-0 out of 5 stars The Durable Camera Phone
I just read two other reviews and realized that my Samsung v205 lasted almost exactly two years also.I must agree that this phone is most definetely durable (at least until the two year mark).I need to be honest in saying that the camera aspect of the phone really never impressed me.Comparing the quality to other camera phones, my phone was generally the worst. In addition, the lens always collected dust and debris that was VERY hard to clean out. Some "close-to-two-years" issues I found were the #7 key losing its sensitivity, the side hinge barrel breaking off (which happened while I was simply talking on the phone), and eventually, the internal wiring of the camera ripping in half to where it became nonfunctional. But for lasting two years (and a couple months), I give this phone my esteem.

3-0 out of 5 stars (Rating: 6 out of 10): It's Good For A While, But After 2 Years...Eh?
I've had this phone since Christmas 2004 and I'd say that it's a good phone. I have this phone by Sprint Phone Service, and have been using that company for about 5 years. Easy to store numbers, text message, internet, you know, the whole nine yards, and that made me happy. What I liked about the phone is that if you took a picture of someone, you can store it in the phone in a way so that if he or she calls, their picture will pop up. Also the battery is good and last longer than usual, which I also like. The camera is pretty decent. I don't expect no high quality mega-pixel camera, but just something to take pictures with, and it works okay. It comes with features like flash, and a way to change the color of your photos.
3-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful until after 1 year!!
When I first bought this phone I was truely in love with it and its price. It has a great body and wonderful capabilities. I did not like the fact that it didnt have a speakerphone, but i could live with that.
5-0 out of 5 stars The reasons Why Sprint Nextel are the best!

MY HUSBAND ACTUALLY HAS THIS PHONE AND EVERYDAY ALL IHEAR IS, " I JUST WANT TO THROW THIS PHONE INTO A WALL." THE BATTERY LIFE IS TERRIBLE AND BOTH THE EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL SCREENS ARE GONE. OF COURSE SPRINT CAN DO NOTHING ABOUT IT AS USUAL. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I have had this phone for 3 years now I would never get another phone.Over the time I have had this phone.I have droped it... kicked it trying to pick it up.... and have ran the battery to dead several times all for it to recharge back in no time... I recommed the extra long battery for this phone I could go days before a recharge which was great for me.But last week I left it in my pants and threw them in the wash all to find my poor little phone dying at the bottom of the washer.I don't think many pones could even turn on after that abuse... but this one did... and well it doesn't work some part of the circut shorted and it just blinks now... but I just ordered another one and hope for it to be as good as the last one...

5-0 out of 5 stars STILL the best darn display on the market!
I bot my vm4050 ($330!!) way back in FEB 2004. About a month or two ago, I decided to donate my phone to the fish in Lake Lanier. What a generous guy I am, eh? Meanwhile, since Sprint no longer has any VM4050s available, I had to settle for a (YUCK!) Sanyo MM-8300. A TOTAL piece of crap. SMALL, CRUMMY screen, teeny-tiny USELESS outside display, and NO headset flash button functionality. All the wonderful things that I had taken for granted on my VM4050 phone were now down at the bottom of the lake. :(
2-0 out of 5 stars JADED & JILTED
After three years of having this phone I've finally given up. I recently just replaced my VM4050 for the THIRD time and I had to demand a different type of phone. This last one didn't even make it twenty four hours. This phone will eventually go to pieces on you, do not be confused. No amount of software upgrade will help. My first two began to blank out on me, turn off and on by itself, the menu screens would freeze out and I started receiving text messages two hours after they had been sent. The real music tones are horrible in quality past level two and the phone is generally frustrating. BUYER BEWARE!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Phone on Sprint service
This is a solid well built phone. At first I thought the battery life was poor but that was because I was used to my old Qcom boat with a huge battery. Now that I'm used to it, the battery life is fine and the small size more than makes up for it.After seeing a few other phones that my friend have and the problems with them, this phone in comparison is very good.I also like the easy access to phone number in the phone book and the "last calls" access.I've had this phone now for 1.5 years and love it.

Now I have gone through many cell phones including star-tac's with cellular one on the east coast near Wash DC and LG with Verizon. What i found is that this Sanyo RL-2500 phone has all the features that I need and want in a cell phone-all of them!Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars WARNING
My problems with nextel did not stop when I canceled my service. I will get to the problems with the service. When I went to get a new phone a day before my contract expired, I of course wanted to keep my number. So as I went to get my Cingular phone (highly recommended), I had the old number switched to my new number. Today, I get in the mail my nextel statement for the month with a $200 early termination even though I had not canceled my service, but had simply got a new phone and switched my number over. This was on icing on the cake after 2 years of absolutely amazingy bad service from nextel. In my town, not a small town by any means, there are very few places that have any service. In the largest subdivision, you cannot get service anywhere. I constantly get comments from people trying to reach me that get the classic nextel line...Please hold while the nextel subscriber you are trying to reach is located. Most of the time I would not even recieve incoming calls, calls would go straight to my voice mail. Not only would I not get the calls, but often I would not even get the voice mails until days or even weeks later. When I did actually take calls (and call out), I cannot count the number of times I've had my call dropped. I recieved so many different error messages sometimes I wonder if they just spend all their time at nextel thinking of different error messages to program into their phones. That brings me to the selling point of nextel, the famed and well-loved direct connect feature. This is an absolute joke. Direct connect only works MAYBE half the time I tried to use it. Even then, in the middle of the conversation I would be greeted by the loud beep of my phone telling me I wont be talking to that person anymore. Of course, I would expect nothing less from the nextel network. Text messaging with nextel is next to impossible. If it did not take hours to send or recieve a message, it took days, or maybe didn't even come at all. The internet access was fine, it the rare instance that it worked. Of course, when you don't have service, you don't get the internet access either. I was constantly getting the message "network not available". Calling and trying to complain to nextel is futile. Trying to get through to customer service takes forever and once you get through they do nothing. My experience with nextel has been nothing short of a disaster and I write this trying to warn anyone considering nextel. Stick with Verizon or Cingular and you will be much happier in the end. Don't make the same mistake I did.

5-0 out of 5 stars i loved this phone
i had this phone for over a year, i loved it best phone i ever had, the only negative thing i can say is that the case is kinda weak and the holster holds the phone backwards so it doesnt break the external caller id if dropped, this means you have to take the phone out of the clip to answer the phone, unless you use speaker phone, id recommend this to anyone that wants nextel, best phone they had

5-0 out of 5 stars Great color phone for Nextel users
I've been a Nextel customer for years for both business and personal use. I've used almost all lines of phones. The i95cl was my favorite until i830 came along. The i95 is good for casual and especially heavy business users. The color LCD screen is huge compared to i730 and i830. Apparently Nextel had to reduce screen size in order to reduce phone size. That is one thing I miss in i830. I never had a problem with i95 size since it weighs about 5 oz. Great phone and I could not believe Nextel would discontinue it. *Note: I have an extra i95 for sale. It was my personal phone and in very good condition with some scratches. It is fully operational, travel charger and holster, shipping in USA included for flat $120.00. I will accept paypal only. 1-0 out of 5 stars Try tracfone instead !!!
Tracfone gives better deals in minutes. It is perfect for those with light, in town usage. It only uses one unit per minute, two if you're outside of your area code(roaming), and long distance doesn't cost any extra. The airtime doesn't cost a fortune, and you have no credit checks, or monthly bills. Reception is good because they utilize many different providers instead of just one. They also have a referral program, so you can earn 100 extra minutes for free if your friends and family buy one too(they also get 180 minutes). If you want a referral to get started with 100 free minutes, just e-mail me at amitgames@yahoo.com , I'd be happy to send you the link!

3-0 out of 5 stars Durable but...
I bought my phone in February 2003, so it is about a year and a half old.
4-0 out of 5 stars good little phone!
Got this phone with the T Mobile prepaid plan.I got mine at Target for $119.Be sure to check T Mobile's website for any rebates they may be offering. It's a fine little phone--it's so small! It fits in my jeans pocket.I can't download any ringtones; because I'm a prepaid customer, which is kind of disappointing.I couldn't get a signal in Longbeach, WA, but my husband's Verizon phone got a signal.Probably a T Mobile issue. But I'm hardly ever in Longbeach; usually, I have as many or more bars on my signal finder as my husband has on his Verizon phone. It's easy to use and easy to check my minutes balance. The only thing is, I can't figure out how to make it ring more than four times before going to voicemail--it takes me a long time to get the phone out of my pocket and then answer it; and just as I say hello, it has gone to voicemail.Overall, I'm quite satisfied with the T Mobile prepaid plan and the V66 phone. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Simple, Elegant and Powerful
This is my second motorola phone in last 4 years. i used to have a V60 and then i upgraded to this V600 model. i really liked by v60 and i like V600 even more. the phone is very simple to use. it does have a camera but i rarely use it. the picture quality is alright, but thats doesnt matter to me that much. what really matters to me is the functionality and the call quality. after all thats what the cell phones are for, arent they? the call quality is nice, if you use speaker phone you will like the clarity. the best feature i like about the phone is that you can change the ring style by the press of button on the side without even opening the phone. press the down button once and then press the button underneath the down button to switch from loud to silent to vibrate to vibrate & ring.

2-0 out of 5 stars Beware- Looks good, but that is about it.....
Have had this model for over a year and I have had to exchange it 3times. Due to my screen disappearing.I called t-mobile and asked if there is a recall on this model, but they say there is not. Also I have noticed that the rescpection decreases after 3months.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent but for one drawback...
I have had this phone for 11 months and it was my first cell phone purchase. Now I am renewing my contract and upgrading my phone. I would not be upgrading my phone if it wasn't for the simple fact that:
5-0 out of 5 stars Nice...
This was my first cell phone...and I love it! It's a very cute and compact cell phone! I also love the mini display in the front. I have gotten 3 new cell phones, and all of them have been this one. I just love it!!

4-0 out of 5 stars I like my e317
I have had the Samsung e317 flip phone for about eight months now. Its capabilitiesinclude Text Messaging, Multimedia Messaging, Ring tones, Games, and Photos. This phone has a screen on the front which can be set to show photo caller ID (which I really enjoy). It is small and compact, and have a exceptionally good camera providing you are not taking far away photos (but I have found this to be the case with all picture phones). The only complaint I have about the design of this phone it that the photo button is on the outside of the phone...thus I have about 43 pictures of the blackness inside my purse. The battery hold its charge exceptionally well. Truthfully, I don't use my phone all that much during the day, but it is always on -- and I rarely have to charge it. The e317 gets the best reception of any flip phone I have owned. Overall I would highly recommend this phone if you are in the market for a descent flip phone with a few extra "bells and whistles", but are no interested in spending a lot. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Not Bad
I've had this phone now for a year and a half, and I have to say: not bad.Of course, seeing my friends with all the cool bells and whistles, the camera phones, the color screens, makes me kind of jealous.Yet, when I see them struggle to cram their monstrous cell phones into their purses I just smile. You see, my phone is so incredibly slim and tiny I can slip it in my pocket and just forget about it.Sometimes I lose my cell phone, just in my light coats! My friends always complain about having to haul around their purses, but I just smile at them, because with the sleek design of the LG, I never have to carry a purse. All I need when I go out is my cell phone, some lip gloss, and some money which all fit in even the most tiniest of my party skirts. To those of you who love to party and dance into the wee hours, without worrying about keeping track of your phone, you have just met the love of your life.As far as reception goes, like I said, not bad, not good though.I have a hard time hearing my friends on the other line, and there isn't a way to turn up the volume on the hearing piece. Also, the ring tone options are pretty limited, hope you like polyphonic ring tones. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars God-awful phone
I don't need my cell phone to take pictures, play music, access the internet, or do my taxes for me. I just want it to work. I just want to be able to hear the person I'm talking to and function as a phone. That's it. This phone fails even that basic test. Stay away from it. It will turn your hair gray.

1-0 out of 5 stars STAY AWAY
I would not even give this phone to my 4 year old.My daughter was recently hospitalized out of town, and for convenience sake I had to use my cell phone instead of long distance.I moved around, went outside (under a clear sky) and had absolutly horrible reception. The entire time you are on the phone with someone, you expect them to disappear, because his phone is terrible.Pick something else.

1-0 out of 5 stars horrible horrible phone
it gets horrible reception except in the most covered area. i live less than a mile from a major shopping center with a tower and i get no reception standing in my front yard. i have to call three or four times before my call goes through because i get "network busy" or "call ended" signals incessantly. ive had it for less than 6 months and the screen is very loose at the hinge. the buttons lose their spring action quickly and several of the buttons backlighting have already begun to fade.
