2-0 out of 5 stars Seems rather problematic
Ok... first allow me to explain my situation.I just signed up for Nextel services 3 days ago and recieved my new phone the day after I signed up.At first everything was fine with it or so it seemed, it didn't pick up reception in my home but living in a generally rural area I thought that it was excuseable. When I talked to people on my phone my indicator said that I was recieving a full signal but they were having a hard time understanding what I was trying to say, it was as if it would only transfer half of what I was saying, rather frustrating to say the least. The next day, after reading the user reviews (should have done that before I bought the phone!!) I called Nextel to see if it was a problem with the phone. They instructed me to preform what is called a 3 finger test with this model while I was on a land line.Basically you hold down any 3 consecutive numbers while the phone is off and power it back on still holding down the numbers. It will take you to a diagnostics of sorts and the phone will test all of it's systems.I found out through that that the phone is truly faulty and am having a replacement sent this week.Unfortunately, since I had used the phone for over 30 minutes I couldn't get a different model, which I thought a little stupid since it's hard to discover a problem with your phone if you hadn't used it much. I have reserved hope that the new one will be better considering all the problems others have had with this phone later on down the road, mine had only been active for a day.

1-0 out of 5 stars Stay away from this phone...
After 5 months, I could no longer connect to the Nextel service. Everything else on the phone worked. I called tech support and was told the problem was with the phone and I should take it in for service. The service center said the phone could not be repaired. I paid $179 for this piece of junk. This is the first and LAST Motorola product I'll ever buy. I've owned 4 other brands of cell phones and never had a problem with any of them.

1-0 out of 5 stars ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE
Before even having this phone for a year the outside of my flip went out and will no longer display the time or date,. The phone will power off whenever it feels like (including during calls), and sometimes will not turn on for up to 15 minutes regardless of if it has full battery life or not. At times when I am charging it, it will tell me I have an invalid battery, though the battery I am using is one that came with the phone originally. It also will register having an invalid charger on every one of the three Nextel chargers I have. When I contacted Motorola, I was told I would have to pay $50 dollars for pick up to send it in and be repaired and have the shutting off problem fixed, despite the fact that it is still under warranty. They also told me it would be an additional $170 dollars to fix my flip. I don't know why these problems have happened. I haven't even so much as dropped the phone. It has been very well taken care of, it is fairly expensive, and for some odd reason it couldn't even hold up for a year. All and all this phone has given me headaches everyday for the past few months and there is no way I will ever purchase a Motorola phone again. ... I Love my new i860 camera phone. My next-door nabor gave me this phone, but it was all scrached and frooze when using NOL. So I brought it to the nextel service center and got some of its parts replaced. Below are the following I got done. THINGS I WANT DONE TO MY NEXTEL i860 camera phone

I can deal with the battery life being bad, but the problem I am having is bad.Seems that most of the time, if I answer a call, or open my phone to make a call, the phone powers down. Today for the first time, it actually did that in the middle of a call. I had called Motorola, and they said that this is a defect in many of the phones. I can get it fixed on my dime, and be without my phone for approx [...]

5-0 out of 5 stars Best phone ever!
I tend to be abusive to my cell phones and I must say that this Sanyo 8100 has seen the worst. It has been dropped in the mud, skidded across asphalt parking lots I don't know how many times, been subjected to rain.....you get the idea.I was at film school when I first purchased it and it is still wokring great 3 years later.I did buy an additional battiery up front, so they have been swapped on and off as I needed more talk time. The screen is still bright and clear, I love being able to set ringtones for certain callers, and I won't ever get another phone that doesn't have the photo caller ID on the outside. This is great because I can just glance at a photo and see who's calling.
5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Phone
Excellent Phone - Sprint tried to get me to get a new phone but this one was awesome. I loved that little phone, too bad Sprint was getting too costly for my mobile needs.
5-0 out of 5 stars Solid Phone
I have had this phone for almost two years and it has now broken in half. This has been the best phone by far I have ever owned. I have dropped it a bizzilion times and all the features still worked. It has falling off a moving car, fell in my pool, been thrown into a moving car..Nice tough phone.. Now I have to find a replacement... Ugh....I hope I can find another phone that can with stand the abuse and recklessness of the 8100. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Samsung t319 -- not what i expected
I used to have a T309 and was told this was the exact same thing, except upgraded and better. THAT IS NOT THE CASE! The T319 doesn't capture video (something I used quite often with my old phone). It also doesn't have as many color options with it or ringtones. It lags every time I sign onto AIM. I have never been more unhappy with a new phone. If I could give this phone zero stars, I would.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not really an upgrade over other Samsung models
I use a phone mainly for talking, T9 texting, basic camera, alarm, and phonebook.I've had 6 cell phones over 3 years mostly because I have a big problem with losing them, so I'm fairly familiar with Nokia and Samsung brands. This one replaced the Samsung e335 that I loved (but lost). As a comparison, I don't like this one as much.

5-0 out of 5 stars Solid workhorse phone, stylish, reasonable feature set
The Katana is a very solid phone wrapped up in a stylish package. It takes the RAZR look and feature set and goes it one better for less money.
4-0 out of 5 stars A very nice voice phone
I just upgraded from a very old Nokia, so having the "new" features of the past few years is really rather nice.I used Mac OS X's Address Book's "Send these contacts..." feature to instantly load up the address book on the phone, so that's nice.It doesn't sync, of course, so you get some duplicates, but that's easy to handle.
5-0 out of 5 stars Nice Phone Impressive features, Complements The RAZR well

2-0 out of 5 stars It seems to work well for everyone else
Maybe we're just really hard on our phones, but my mother and I both had problems with this phone. My mothers phone suddenly started dropping a lot of calls, the screen broke and one day a huge, spreading crack appeared in it.She swears she never dropped it, what started out looking like a minor scratch ended up breaking the phone nearly in half. Our warranty covered it and she got a new phone, the same model. She hasnt had any problems with the new one yet.
4-0 out of 5 stars Feature packed
This replaced my V180 which would freeze overnight. The front display would keep the time it stopped working. RadioShack-$18 activation + tax with contract renewal.
4-0 out of 5 stars Very good workhorse of a phone
Bought the v557 about 5 months ago from Cingular's website and overall very pleased.A great no-nonsense make-and-take calls cell phone.

2-0 out of 5 stars Just looks fancy, other than that...
I got this phone basically for free, but even taking that into account, I'm pretty disappointed with the phone. This is my first Samsung and, I'm pretty sure, my last one! I owned a Nokia before and I regret that I "betrayed" it. From now I wouldn't get anything besides Nokia and in the worst case maybe Sony-Ericsson.
1-0 out of 5 stars Lousy Lousy Lousy
I can't believe that with technology as advanced as it is, Samsung could produce this giant POS. It's flashy, yes. But does it deliver?? No. I actually refused to pay the bill and let them shut my service off. I loved the clarity of the pictures, even though the 1 megapixel camera was pretty lousy, and I even liked the video feature. But the phone is only good IF YOU CAN USE IT!!! It's been years since I've had such lousy reception from a phone. I'm considering taking the dealer to court over this, since they pushed it on me and told me what a great phone it was. I want my money back!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Total Waste of Time
Has to be the worst phone I have ever had to pay for.Between the missing features (no voice dial on a $200 phone?!) crippled features (I have to buy ringtones, use their t-zone for the WAP when I have the unlimited internet service already?) and poor reception and terrible battery life it has almost made me want to pay the early cancellation fee and find another carrier.Anyone who would charge some much for this POS really doesn't deserve my business. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars not as advertised
I've gone through about five of these phones in the past 18 months. The phone is supposed to have about 10 days of standby (if not used and kept on)and a few hours of talk time. For about a month, I got about a quarter of what was promised, now, I need to charge it every day (gone through 3 batteries.)Get this thing anywhere near moisture, I'm talking about humid days, or even if your packet gets damp from a little rain, and the phone happens to be in it, and it starts going bonkers.
5-0 out of 5 stars good phone
I have had this phone for over a year and have no real issues with it.It still works great. The battery sometimes dies quicker than usual (dont know why)but most of the time it works great.Other people have borrowed my phone and saythat they love it.The screen is clear and readable and the sound quality is better than the phones that they have.Have dropped it many times and nothing has happened to it, it is pretty durable.

2-0 out of 5 stars Phone discharges Battery
After we had the phone for about 9 months, it started discharging battery pretty quickly. When I got it, a full charge used to last almost a week and now it hardly lasts one day. First visit to Verizon store was a very bad experience. The manager was very rude and said that they can't help me since I did not buy the phone at a Verizon store (I bought it online at an authorized reseller). Assuming the problem to be battery, I replaced with a new battery. Same battery discharge on both of our phones even with new battery. Another call to Verizon and another trip to their store (a different one) resulted in the phones being replaced. It's 3 days now with the replaced phones (and the old batteries) and it's holding up...I'm hoping I don't see any more problems till my 2 yr contract ends...I'll Never buy another Motorola phone (prior to this we had a V600 and that too had the same battery problem) ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Solid and Reliable
Myself and my wife have both had a V300 for over a year now and it is a great phone. It is reliable and takes a beating! I say that as we have two young children who always manage to get their hands on our cell phones, and needless to say they have taken some abuse and have never broken!
5-0 out of 5 stars BRILLIANT!!!
I love this phone! I have it and it is great! And I am not just saying this because I have it. It really is ! Sure, my sister has a video camera in her phone but mine has more music software and ringtones- polyphonic, classic ,ritual and normal.
3-0 out of 5 stars An "okay" phone
It's definitely small, light weight and loaded with useful features (camera, alarm, mini organizer). The design is also pretty and the phone feels smooth in your hands... but the phone kept dying on me.i had to return it twice during my one year warranty. once the backlight stopped working and i couldn't see anything. on the second phone the camera stopped working. finally my third phone works fine, but after two years the speaker started deteriorating and i can't hear anything on the other end unless i put it on speaker or use the earphone. it was also pretty slow when browsing through pictures and occasionally freezes up. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Poor instructions
Just got my Katana today, and am unhappy at the moment. The instruction manual is poor.I am trying to download ringtones, but the manual only gives instructions for Sprint's rip-off ringtones that only last 90 days.I can't figure out how to get it to work with other sites and the instruction manual doesn't give a hint. The preloaded rings are awful.
4-0 out of 5 stars Great phone for the casual user
I bought this phone to replace my 2 1/2-year old Samsung Vi660. I've been a big fan of the Samsung line, and thought about buying their comparable version to the Katana (the A900) but the reviews of the Katana's superior battery life won me over.I am not much for the fancy features of cell phones - I just wanted a slimmer phone that had a lower radiation emissions level than the Vi660, a built-in speakerphone, and bluetooth connectivity. After using the phone for a few weeks, here are my impressions so far:
3-0 out of 5 stars Katana Blue
I've been a sprint customer for over three years and have owned three sanyo phones; Sanyo 8100, Sanyo 8300, and the Kantana. If you're coming from a mulitimedia phone like the Sanyo 8300, the SCP-6600 Katana may be a bit of a disappointment to you. The Katana just doesn't have all of the bells and whistles as a multimedia phone. The Katana has no built in flash which is needed for taking half decent pictures with a camera phone. It also has no camcorder or media player. But then again its not suppose to. It's basically an attempt by sprint and Sanyo to satisfy the consumer cravings for the popular RAZR phones that are available through wireless carriers like Cingular, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Cricket and a few others. It's obvious by looking at the Katana that it was inspire by the Razr, which does not have MM functions either. On a feature note I would have to give the Katana a one besides doing the simple things like making phone calls and downloading ringers and screen savers there's just not much more you can do on it. Aesthetically the Katana is not that much of a beaut. However, it is for the time being a bit different looking so for (except when compared to the RAZR) that I'd give it a four. For the lack of a decent camera and camcorder I have to deduct two more points which brings rating down to three stars. Oh for those of you who are interested in bluetooth the phone is bluetooth capable. After looking at the Black, Pink and Blue Kantana phone I decided to get the pink. I like the way the blue looked over the internet but in person it was just too "loud" for my taste. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars T-Mobile the wost service ever!
I've had the SideKick2 for about a year now and the phone it self may be OK, The calinder, and all that work OK, but the T-Mobile service is the worst ever!
5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Device with Some Major Problems
I am 14 years old and I just got a sidekick 3 as a reward frommy parents for getting into an advanced math program. They had some overall doubts that it was dangerous for a child of my age to handle such an item as i could misuse it without their knowledge.I agree with the man a few reviews down that parents should be worried about this device as internet predators and myspace predators are out there. That is why i recomend sitting down with your child and discussing the dangers of having such a device with them.If you notice that they understand the dangers, I would reccomend at least considering buying it.However, thoroughly make sure that they understand the dangers because the more I am using this device (which is limited because of my studies) I am recognizing that this device can do pretty much as much as a laptop with a few exceptions being that it cannot handle all applications and some other things.
4-0 out of 5 stars T-Mobile Sucks
I use to be a t-mobile costumer until they started charging me for changes i made to my plan that they didn't change.I called costumer service and they gave me the run around.I had two lines and changed one of the planes to a emergency plan for 100 mins a month. It was suppose to be changed at the end of the pay cycle.Low and be hold i get a bill for over 1,000 dollars. I'm like WTF. I call them and they say they changed my plan an hour after i called them to change it to an emergency plan. I was so mad because it was soppose to be changed at the end of the month taht was the agreement with there costumer service. I've been trying to get them to drop the overage charges but they say it is my fault for chabging my plan. That is not the only problem i had with changing my plan this has happened befor ewith them. Finnaly i got tired of them and went to cingular which costumer service is best. ... Read more

Here's Sanyo's answer to the RAZR revolution, the SCP-6600 "Katana," a phone that meets or beats many of the RAZR's specifications -- all at a lower price. This phone packs Bluetooth, a gorgeous QVGA color screen, a speakerphone, and a VGA camera. And of course, it's very thin and chic.Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars katana
I got this as a gift, its too thin for me. I"m not into the credit card sized phones.Picture quality sucks, its hard to manage it.the menu buttons are inconviently placed, such as the My content and the address icon should have been switched around for better handling.its such a hassle to plug in the earpiece plus the connector to the phone!

4-0 out of 5 stars Hot Phone, simple, cute
I really like this phone..its cute, its little, its perfect for a young woman.I had a pocket pc prior to this and it was so complicated just making a call.I wanted something simple, that wasn't an mp3 player (i have an ipod), that wasn't a professional camera (i have a nice digital cam), or a pda (i have a palm tx)... its just simple and cute.
3-0 out of 5 stars Kantana Pink
1-0 out of 5 stars Angry at HP
My joystick fell off two weeks ago, sent the unit to HP telling them in advance the problem on my 6515 phone, clerk said to send it in on warranty. Got phoned back by HP, they told me they cannot repair the unit they offered a swap and wanted to charge me 303$ (excessive). I paid the unit 400$ on ebay, I tried to discuss the issue with a corporate office sales relation person in Canada and they say I had misused it. I have had 3 ipaqs in the last 8 years a 3660, a 3955 wich I still own, I know how much pressure to apply to an Ipaq button... had a problem once with the stylus button on my 3660, Compaq had at that time happily repaired it at no charge, things have changeg since HP took their business. I discussed this with the corporate office telling them this issue is frequently related on the internet. On one site a guy had a 6515 with cingular, he had had four replacements because of the same problem. Even in their own forum site this problem is refered to. An ebay seller is offerring a replacement button fo 24$, HP told me to buy it from them, can you believe that? On top of all that they said to me I had to pay an evaluation fee of 67$, told thew I did not want to pay... They replied they would send this to a collection agency if I did not pay within 90 days. My guess is this issue would cost too much to HP to recall deffective units so they prefer to abuse their custemors by telling them it's misuse... I plan to take them to small claims court and post this comment on as many sites as possible starting here. Good luck!

1-0 out of 5 stars replaced THREE TIMES!!!! giving up
this phone has broken three times from device malfunctions. i am giving up and demanding it be replaced by the 8125.
1-0 out of 5 stars Regrettable Purchase
My comments on this device are based on two weeks of very frustrating experience. Just trying to get this thing to perform basic functions is an exercise in futility. Comments are divided into two core uses: PHONE and PDA

5-0 out of 5 stars I've never had any problems...
This is the first cell phone I've ever owned but as far as I can tell it is perfect!I have never had a problem myself even after a year and a half of use.My brother has even washed his a few times and it still works...Overall though, good phone.Wouldn't say it's worth it to get internet on it, very limited.Camera/camcorder are pretty good, but videos can only be 30 seconds long.As far as call quality goes though, it's perfect.I love my phone!

1-0 out of 5 stars crap phone
im getting a way better phone the sanyo 7400 thats a realy good
1-0 out of 5 stars Total Waste!
This is the worst phone I have ever come across. I love Samsung phones but this phone is is awful. Softare keeps crashing and screen gets fuzzy/overlaps. I took this phone back to Sprint and the new phone is acting the same way. I thought maybe first phone was bad but once again second phone is falling apart. On top of that: My father has similar phone and it is doing the same thing. I wasted 250 dollars on this piece of crap.

1-0 out of 5 stars Garbage
This phone is junk. No way to erase a voicemail without listening to it, and one I have came in on a number no longer in use. No way to hold the unit without hitting the side buttons and changing settings accidently.
5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT PHONE
This is a great phone. Ive never had an LG before this and now Im blown away at the greatness of this phone. One its physically appealing, very easy to use. The only problem I have is not with the phone but with sprint. If you want to send pictures you now have to pay extra a month and the same if you want to use the voice regonition feature. But overall a great buy I highly recommend this phone.

5-0 out of 5 stars Life is Good
I purchased this phone a month ago, and was a little skeptical since I have never tried a LG product. To say the least, I am ecstatic! This a fantastic phone-especially for the price.
