5-0 out of 5 stars Built to last
I've had this phone for three years. It is basic--no frills (other reviews list the features)--but never irritating. What a delight to own one device that fulfills its intended function.

This phones is excellent. I got this phone the summer befor I entered higschool and im on my Sophmore year and its still going strong.
4-0 out of 5 stars Samsung E105
This is the phone I was using until the screen broke. Im giving it 4 stars because of how it is while its working lol. Really really easy to use. Easy on the text, I can text really fast with this phone. Its a small phone, good buttons. Good features on it. Easy to get to things quickly. One downfall is the service. I couldnt get very good service with this phone. While in buildings etc. Once outside it isnt no big deal, but in certain buildings ehh... got some trouble. But this is a good little phone!!! But it doesnt work anymore, the screen is black now, and I cant see anything. It happened out of no where to. Even though it has been dropped in water twice, and dropped on the floor quite a few times lol. But nothing serious. Its a good phone. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect device
I have used non-phone pocket pc PDAs before and have come to rely on them, so when this was available from my Alltel service, I jumped to get it so that I wouldn't need to carry a PDA and a phone with me.
2-0 out of 5 stars Phone is a Major Disappointment on many levels
I can't say enough bad things about this device. Save yourself from a headache and don't purchase this product. The battery does NOT make it through a day of minimal use.In order to have this phone work properly for you, you would need to purchase an extended battery with a price range from 60 - 80 dollars. The most disappointing feature of this phone is the phone's speaker volume itself. It is very hard to hear conversations, and it makes for many frustrating phone calls. Many colleagues of mine have decided not to purchase this device after they experienced first hand how poor the quality of the phone was. The phone however sounds excellent when plugged into a headset. The phone as it is, is bulky... let alone adding a larger battery onto it. For the money spent, I'm very disappointed. The manufacturer has cut many corners in making this device and it is evident.Shame on them!

3-0 out of 5 stars JUST A PHONE WHICH NEEDS 100 XTRA STYLUS

3-0 out of 5 stars It's functional
If you are looking for a phone to simply make and receive calls, and send text messages, then this will work just fine for you. If you are one of those people who wants a lot of extra cool stuff, don't buy this one. It is a cheap phone. The camera does work, but it doesn't take the best pictures.
1-0 out of 5 stars A no-frills South Korean phone that doesn't work
This South Korean phone sucks. It has no good features, it's made cheaply, and the camera barely works.Verizon Wireless is good at bringing crappy phones to its customers.Of course, many people like their network quality (which is good in most areas except NY and LA, as far as I know from firsthand experience). But their phone selection really sucks... although they do have some cool Moto phones. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars demon phone
I got stuck with this clunky thing when my other phone was destroyed and this model was provided via the insurance company. Ugh. I always had great reception from Verizon until this phone. I never had dropped calls before with Verizon, and then I started getting dropped calls once a day--and I remained within the same service area. It seems that no one can hear me properly even in a quiet room, a problem which has resulted in lots of screaming and misunderstandings, not to mention accusations that I'm "not a good listener" or "not paying attention." This phone will hurt.
1-0 out of 5 stars It is just not good. You can find a better one
For several years I had Samsung and LG phones with Verizon. I never even once had a dropped call, disconnection...etc. My last phone was damaged and I was given this as a replacement (cost me $60). Since I got this, I hear the expression "please speak louder I cannot hear you" a lot. A lot of places the signal reception is not good while the previous phones I had were working just fine. The menus are all buried inside and....so many problems. I do not like it at all. Do not buy this.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for those who need a solid, reliable phone.
I recently acquired 2 of these phones for my wife and I as an upgrade from our 2 year old Samsung A650's. I was happy to continue using Samsung Verizon phones becuase the a650 had been an excellent phone with no problems or battery issues throughout it's rough 2 year life with us. After getting the phones home, I was reading some reviews here and was concerned about the performance of these phones. Some folks had not rated them highly and stated some serious problems with sound quality and call dropping. Let me address these complaints in my personal experience with this phone:

I had to return it twice... both times the 'problem' was covered. But now that it is "out of warranty" the same problems reoccure.
1-0 out of 5 stars Siemens SX66
I have had this PDA for a year and I do not recommnd buying this device. The battery constantly falls out. Most of the time the inforamtion is restored upon re-installation of the battery, but not always. Several times I have had to re-load and re-synch all of my programs, etc. Also, the phone locks up after 10 calls have been restered in the phone history. You must delete the call history or you cannot place calls. The phone will dial, but time out with never connecting the call.
3-0 out of 5 stars Speaker problems
I have had the Siemens SX66 for exactly one year and one month. I do not use it for anything except web surfing (great for travelling), email, and as a regular phone. I loved this phone until the speaker began going out (after 4 months), first I had to have it on speaker phone to hear and then even on speaker phone the voices were very distorted. It was still under warranty so Cingular took it back and I got a new one within 3 days! However, the speaker has gone out again, and even though I recieved a new phone less than 9 months ago, the warranty was not extended, so repair is expensive.

The plasma screen cracked within one month of purchase. The phone never fell nor did I treat it roughly. It just cracked in my pocket.
2-0 out of 5 stars Utter Krap
I'm really not that selective about cell phones.I don't want a camera, I don't care what it looks like, I don't need no fancy bluetooth garbage.I just want a phone that will call people, and I really like voice dialing, which was one of the reasons I selected this phone. That was where my disappointment began.

1-0 out of 5 stars Very Bad Workmanship
The quality of this phone is a joke. The first problem was the hinge of the flip up part.It started having problems almost immediately with with the hinge sticking and cracking from regular use. In less than a year in had shorted out completely. The only good things about it a couple of loud ringers.DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
4-0 out of 5 stars Great Basic Phone

This is a good phone and it does a lot of things I just wished it was smaller and that the sound on the MP3 player was louder when using headphones

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Phone I've Ever had (I've had 5)
I'm 13 years old, and I recently purchased this phone to replace my Motorola V276 prepaid cell phone (Had that for like a month, had to get a new one because they charge you a dollar a day even when you dont make calls. So it was way too expensive, it cost $45 in prepaid cards after only a month) Anyway, this phone is excellent.
4-0 out of 5 stars Could be better.
I needed a cell phone, and I didn't want to be attached to contracts so I knew I was going to have prepaid. Virgin Mobile seemed the best for Pre-Paid (believe me, I reserched like every phone company). This phone is decent for camera/video/mp3. The phone, itself, is a slider phone. I thought I'd try a slider after I had a bar and a flip phone. If you do buy this phone, BUY A COVER! Since there's nothing to cover your main screen, it gets scratched easily. It looks terrible in the light. The functions of the phone are pretty much basic. Virgin Mobile's network is great too. (And if you look at other phone reviews, the phone itself doesn't have to do with the bars you get) The only thing I don't like is how virgin Mobile makes the icons.

1-0 out of 5 stars Samsung VI660 is defective
Stay away from the Samsung VI660 phone. It definitely has a defect in the hinge mechanism. I have had TWO of them - both of which quickly cracked in the same location - between the hinge and an indicator light.

1-0 out of 5 stars Run away from this phone & Nextel
I had 3 different i836's and all had the same problems. The phone looks great but it ends there. The battery life is short & the signal sucks - I went from an i205 that I had for 5 years - to the 836 which cut off 36% of my calls (according to Nextel's own records) - this phone is the worst phone I ever used - it goes from full signal (5 bars) to no service all day long - just back and forth. I use about 6000 minutes a month and I need a dependable phone and service provider.I wasted hours and hours arguing with Nextel and got nowhere. After 2 months of torture I cancelled my service with Sprint / Nextelthey charged me $200 temination fee and refused to allow me to return the $100 i836.I went into Verizon, got a Kyocera phone and it works great. I'm paying more for my monthly service, but it just works - with no hassles. The i836 is now a $300 paperweight. I would rather stick needles in my eyes then deal with Sprint / Nextel again. What a way to treat a 9 year loyal customer Nextel.Way to go.......

2-0 out of 5 stars I want my money back
For looks it is a nice phone, for everyday use... Dont waste your money. Not good signal, terrible sound on the speaker and very delicate to most regular use. I used for a long time the i90c... I miss it even though it was a bigger phone. I would not recomend it.

1-0 out of 5 stars Nice Looking Piece Of Junk!
This phone is awful, I upgraded because my i80 (?) an old nextel brick was just too big and it snapped in half. this phone is the smalles they make right now. It has horrible battery l;ife, I am on my second battery because it will just cut out without warning when I am on the phone and have barely used it after a full charge. the signal is terrible, I don't have reception in places that I did with my older phone. the case scratches and chips easily and it just doesn't work!! If I paid for the phone I would have given it up long ago, but I use it for work heavily, dc and phone - when the battery is charged it does work fine. Another annoying thing is the volume buttons on the outside of the phone are easily pressed if the phone is in your pocket and will take itself off of vibrate without you knowing.

1-0 out of 5 stars Why can't I rate it lower?
I've had this phone for over a years.Well not this phone specifically, this model. My first one had some operational issues (lost settings, camera issues, buttons not responding, no over-the-air update working) so Sprint said to take into the store for evaluation and update. They couldn't even get it sync up with their systems. So they ordered me a refurb.
1-0 out of 5 stars Worst cell phone I have ever owned
Nothing wrong with mine specifically i.e. it is not in need of repair. Neat design. Camera is useless. Has MUCH MUCH worse reception than OLDER Sprint phones in same areas. I drop calls constantly. Hard to believe older phones worked better. Battery life is horrific, worse I have ever had across all cell phones I have owned. Gives about 30 seconds battery warning before shutting down. I compare this to same service provider, same locations, older Sprint phones and it is absolutely terrible. Sub-par is an understatement. You'd be better off buying a refurb Sanyo. At least it will perform basic functions properly.

1-0 out of 5 stars Buyer Beware
I got this phone with my new contract with Sprint. I wasn't expecting it to be perfect, especially considering my experience with cellular phones in the past, they're hardly indestructible and all of them have their flaws. However, it would power off randomly, which I accepted as just a minor inconvenience.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not horrible, but I wouldn't recommend it!
I have had this phone for about 9 months.I never really had any problems with the phone such as reception or battery life.Actually, I was sort of surprised at how long I could go without charging.Speakerphone always sounded clear on my end, but occasionally the other person was unable to hear me clearly. The camera is fairly easy to use.My problems with the phone have just recently begun. The first thing to happen was that the END button stopped working completely and I could not end calls, a big problem when you weren't planning to leave a voicemail! The only other option was to close the phone to end calls.Shortly after that, the phone couldn't recognize it was closed. It thought it was always OPEN!I couldn't see who was calling from the external screen and at times, the phone would answer itself.More recently, my TALK button has been shorting out, as well as the OK button.Sprint is willing to offer a replacement phone for $35 or a new keypad for about the same.I am stuck with this phone until I'm eligible for a free phone or I can switch carriers altogether.Choose wisely!

1-0 out of 5 stars Will not Charge!
Had this phone a little over a year, same problem as everyone else. Won't charge. Shows charged, but then make one call and it is dead.

1-0 out of 5 stars Horrible sound quality.Stay away!
I have had this phone for almost a year now, and although the signal reception is great, the sound quality on this phone is HORRIBLE!I have to ask the person calling me to repeat themselves at least once every call because the voice quality is so muddy. My wife has a different (and cheaper) phone and it sounds MUCH better. The only reason I have put up with it this long is I do not use my phone very often.I would not recommend this phone to anyone. This phone sounds worse than any other phone I have owned.Stay away from this phone!!! ... 1-0 out of 5 stars The Worst Phone I Ever Had
I've been through quite a few phones in the past couple years (Nokia, LG, Motorola, and now this Samsung) and I have got to say that this is by far the worst of the bunch. This phone fails at almost everything that makes a cellphone good. The reception is terrible (A two minute conversation takes 10 minutes because you and the person on the other end always need to repeat yourselves), It does not keep your contacts organized very well (multiple entries for the same person if they have more than one number...), a ludicrous "Push to talk" feature that is entirely worthless...even the alarm clock is needlessly complicated.
1-0 out of 5 stars I hate this phone!!
I bought 2 of these phones in April because of the Push to Talk feature.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Phone, Minute Setbacks
I've had this phone for a couple of months now, and so far, no major complaints.
3-0 out of 5 stars A mixed bag review
I have been using this phone for the past 6months and have had a mixed review to present.
4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Style and Quality
I have had this phone for about a month now and am very familiar with its operation and features. When I first took it out of the box, I was extremely impressed by its looks. The black and silver contrast against one another very well for a beautiful finish. The screen is extremely large and very shiny when the LCD is not lit. It does collect fingerprints easily, but simply wiping the screen on a shirt or something for a few seconds cleans it right up.

Editorial Review

This basic phone from Motorola just got better. Like its predecessor, the V60p, it has push-to-talk capabilities, but with the addition of a color main screen and a larger supplementary screen. With a push-to-talk subscription from Verizon Wireless, you can communicate walkie-talkie style with a co-worker or entire teams anywhere in the country. The V65p more than pulls its weight as a cell phone, text messenger, and wireless web client, as well.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Get a free unlocked Motorola RAZR v3i instead!
Why settle for less, or commit yourself to a specific cellular provider and service plan, when you can get a complimentary unlocked top of the line Motorola RAZR v3i cell phone that works with any cellular service provider and any SIM card. I got mine free at this web site:ilikethis.info/razrv3i

1-0 out of 5 stars Warranty? What warranty?
I had been very happy with my Motorola phone until the battery started losing its charge within a day, even when the phone was turned off. The friendly but incompetent customer support kept me on the phone for an average of 40 minutes for the repeated calls trying to figure out the problem. After the phone had finally been sent to their technical service center, they returned it to me that the phone was irreperable "due to customer abuse." I have done nothing to that phone that could have caused any damage (unless using it to make phone calls counts as "customer abuse"), but got the same comment, without explanation after I had sent the phone in for a second time for reevaluation. It seems that Motorola is just trying to get out of fixing or replacing the phone free of charge under warranty. You'll be fine with a Motorola phone as long as it works. After that, you're on your own.

4-0 out of 5 stars very solid phone
This is the updated version of the v60p, which I have.I would assume that it is built nearly identically to the v60p.As of today, I've had my v60p for 18 months, and it is still in great shape. The flip mechanism is still very strong, the reception is very good, the speakerphone is very clear, it is quite small yet still pretty ergonomic (fits faces well), and I have dropped it several times and said to myself, "well, it HAS to be broken this time," and it still works.I think this may be due to the fact that the phone's outer, interchangeable coverings are made of metal (stainless steel I guess). In other words, I feel like this thing is bomb-proof.I got it just before camera phones and downloadable ringtones were so popular, so I am dying to get a new one at the end of my two year contract, but I don't regret it because I don't think many other phones would still be functioning after the abuse I've inflicted upon it.This new version has the Get it Now features, so with this phone you're getting a durable handset with all the bells and whistles except a camera.High recommendation if you don't need or want a camera. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Affordability Plus!$3/month
If you don't use this phone, it costs $3/month.Normal hours til 9 p.m. it's 12 cents per minute, which is a bit less than half of what most prepaid phones cost.Perfect for my occasional use and for locating family members when I'm in transit and feel that I simply must know where they are and what they are doing.I don't use cell phones much, but if I must have one, I might as well have one that doesn't make me worry about another huge bill. For kids who think they can mangle the budget, forget it cuz when the card is used up -- that's it kiddo.Once they use up the card, the only number they can dial is 911, but that's it.Bonus features: clock is always accurate and it has a great alarm which tells me when to get up to go to work and another to tell me when to go home at the end of the day.At some point, I might not be able to live without this. ... Get ready for the power of Verizon's exciting V CAST service, which allows you to download or stream full motion video and 3D games, all on your handset. 5-0 out of 5 stars This is why I love LG!
I've had this phone for about two months and absolutely love it! The camera takes WONDERFULLY clear pics and I also like the ability to take video clips. The mp3 is amazing. The phone is a bit larger than I would like but then again, I'm coming from a LG 3200. But it still fits into the little 5th pocket of my jeans which is where I would put my 3200. The screens are very bright and large. The speaker phone is nice and loud but there seems to be a bit of an echo and you have the keep the phone opened when using it:( The other ONLY thing I don't like about the phone is the 3-4 second delay when taking a picture. Other than that, it's a wonderful phone! I would recommend it to anybody.

4-0 out of 5 stars Love my LG VX8100!!!
I have the LG VX8100 and I can't find anything wrong with it.I love this phone.I have had it for 8 months.I am still happy with it.I am glad I got it.As for the people complaining about the reception. The only thing I wish it would do is hold more ring tones and use your sounds for ringtones.I would never trade it in for a Motorola.I had one and it didn't work, I had to send my Moto 3 times for the year I had it and still had trouble with it.

5-0 out of 5 stars WoW
Well a lot of the reviews are long so i'll make mine short and sweet. This phone is great if you already know how to take care of a phone if this is your first phone not so much. The picture and video quality is GREAT!!!! But the ringtones aren't very cool if that is what your looking for. The music cost a lot you can get it cheaper from itunes!

4-0 out of 5 stars Good solid phone
I have 3 sanyo 3100 phones with sprint. I have silver for me, brown for my son and pink for my daughter. The phones are sold, easy to use and have decent reception. The phones hold up well for the teenagers constant use.We love the phones so far.Service from Sprint is not so good, but the plan and phone are great for families.

5-0 out of 5 stars AWESOME PHONE!
I have the pink sanyo 3100 and I absolutely love it!!!!I receive great signals, sound quality, and plus it's so cute.I love Sprints monthly plans. It's perfect for me because my husband and his family have Nextel phones, and with Sprint, I have unlimited mobile to mobile with Nextel for $5 a month.I refuse to pay for Nextel's monthly rates like them. The picture quality isn't the greatest, but I don't really use it for that.As far as T-Mobile being a great company like the first girl said, it is NOT a great company.Eveyone I talk to says that T-Mobile is aweful.I used to have T-mobile and they never had towers to give me reception when I traveled!!!!!!So, if you're looking for a cute phone with great sound quality and good reception, with a great company, this is it!!!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Sanyo 3100
A couple days after my 22nd birthday my parents and I went to the sprint store to get me a new phone.I had the pink sanyo 3100 and I really didnt like it.The reception was terrible, the battery life was terrible, the camera was the worst (it only takes like ten picuters and then you gotta delete some), the menu was hard to figure out and it was way over priced $150.After two months of use I convinced my parents to change to cingular as all my friends have it and I wanted my calls to be free (mobile to mobile). It took a couple of weeks to convince my mom to change to cingular because she had been with sprint for four years and the customer service was great. She did look into cingular and found out that they had roll over minutes which sprint did not and decided that should would switch to cingular. I was considering t mobile but my friend michelle told me she had it for a year, hated it, switched to cingular and absolutely loves it.My mom is very happy with her black razor and cingular as I am with my magenta razor and cingular and my dad loves his nokia 6102 :) Thank you cingular for making phones that are great looking, are easy to opporate and do not get frequent dropped calls :) ... 1-0 out of 5 stars RUN AWAY - this product defines caveat emptor!
I do not review things, and I have an extremely high level of tolerance for product functioning. Nevertheless, I am so fed up with my palmOne Treo 650 (which I have owned for a year), that I have called Verizon today, complained to Palm, joined a class action, and reactiviated my several year-old flip phone that has water damage. Yes - my water damaged, cheap LG phone functions better than my palm treo.

My workplace wanted me to get a cell phone so that they could contact me when in transit between meetings. I had been fascinated by the idea of Blackberrys and Treos for quite awhile. One of my coworkers was upgrading to a Blackberry and was willing to let me use his Treo 650.
