The V710 was a hit for Motorola and Verizon. Now comes its successor, the E815, with support for Verizon Wireless's groundbreaking V CAST service, which allows you to download or stream full-motion video and 3D games all on your handset. The E815 offers more internal memory (40 MB) to handle all the videos, photos, and other data you'll be enjoying with high-speed data service. All the great features of the V710 are here, too, including Bluetooth, a 1.2-megapixel camera, video messaging, TransFlash memory expansion, and more. It's a flagship phone for those who won't settle for less.Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars not as advertised
I've gone through about five of these phones in the past 18 months. The phone is supposed to have about 10 days of standby (if not used and kept on)and a few hours of talk time. For about a month, I got about a quarter of what was promised, now, I need to charge it every day (gone through 3 batteries.)Get this thing anywhere near moisture, I'm talking about humid days, or even if your packet gets damp from a little rain, and the phone happens to be in it, and it starts going bonkers.
5-0 out of 5 stars good phone
I have had this phone for over a year and have no real issues with it.It still works great. The battery sometimes dies quicker than usual (dont know why)but most of the time it works great.Other people have borrowed my phone and saythat they love it.The screen is clear and readable and the sound quality is better than the phones that they have.Have dropped it many times and nothing has happened to it, it is pretty durable.

2-0 out of 5 stars Phone discharges Battery
After we had the phone for about 9 months, it started discharging battery pretty quickly. When I got it, a full charge used to last almost a week and now it hardly lasts one day. First visit to Verizon store was a very bad experience. The manager was very rude and said that they can't help me since I did not buy the phone at a Verizon store (I bought it online at an authorized reseller). Assuming the problem to be battery, I replaced with a new battery. Same battery discharge on both of our phones even with new battery. Another call to Verizon and another trip to their store (a different one) resulted in the phones being replaced. It's 3 days now with the replaced phones (and the old batteries) and it's holding up...I'm hoping I don't see any more problems till my 2 yr contract ends...I'll Never buy another Motorola phone (prior to this we had a V600 and that too had the same battery problem) ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Solid and Reliable
Myself and my wife have both had a V300 for over a year now and it is a great phone. It is reliable and takes a beating! I say that as we have two young children who always manage to get their hands on our cell phones, and needless to say they have taken some abuse and have never broken!
5-0 out of 5 stars BRILLIANT!!!
I love this phone! I have it and it is great! And I am not just saying this because I have it. It really is ! Sure, my sister has a video camera in her phone but mine has more music software and ringtones- polyphonic, classic ,ritual and normal.
3-0 out of 5 stars An "okay" phone
It's definitely small, light weight and loaded with useful features (camera, alarm, mini organizer). The design is also pretty and the phone feels smooth in your hands... but the phone kept dying on me.i had to return it twice during my one year warranty. once the backlight stopped working and i couldn't see anything. on the second phone the camera stopped working. finally my third phone works fine, but after two years the speaker started deteriorating and i can't hear anything on the other end unless i put it on speaker or use the earphone. it was also pretty slow when browsing through pictures and occasionally freezes up. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this phone!
The processer is slow, so the phone has to think everytime you do something.... imagine scrolling down the address book and the phone taking time to respond to each time you push the scroll down button. That is just an example of how slow its processor speed is. The camera is of extremely poor quality, which makes it virtually useless. I've had the phone only 4 months and it's starting to drop calls frequently... so I called LG and their solution is to have me mail my phone to them, and in 3-4 weeks they will let me know if they will fix it for free or if I have to pay to have it fixed. In this day and age, most people can't conduct business without their cell phone... especially for 3-4 weeks. LG's policy repair is prohibitive, and the phone is substandard. Don't buy this phone!

2-0 out of 5 stars Fine at first, not so fine after 6 months.
I had this phone given to me about 6 months ago and I could almost not be more disappointed. In the beginning of my ownership, here's what I experienced.
5-0 out of 5 stars I like the LG 225
Mine is Red and I like the color.I like the sound quality and ringers. It is easier to hear the ringers than on the Samsung I had before. It also seems to get better reception than the Samsung even though it has an internal antenna, which I also like a lot.

5-0 out of 5 stars increadible device
I'll make this real quick.I travel a ton with my laptop glued to me, and this phone (thanks to EVO) is my modem.I'll use it all day as a modem and never get disconnected. The speed is almost as good as DSL, and I'll frequently download 100MB+ files from the internet using the PHONE!It's just increabile as bascially a constant broadband connection to the web. Also great for reading/replying to mail on the fly.Synch is super fast. Not a bad phone either.Sound is excellent and rarely get dropped calls. In fact I did a 4 hour conference call from Oxford Wisconsin (middle of nowhere) recently.Couldn't believe it actually worked there, let alone stayed connected for 4 hours.Speaker phone is great. Downsides are the keys are a little small, speed dial could be a little easier, and the bluetooth has given me some problems (but I never looked into it).Regardless, this is the best device/gadget/whatever I've ever bought -- hands down!My wife absolutely hates it because its now glued to my hand.

3-0 out of 5 stars Has Bluetooth Issues out of the box that can be solved
I am a big fan of the voice dialing software that's on the higher-end Samsungs. I was eligible for an upgrade from my A610 and was looking to get a PDA phone to kill two birds with one stone (my Palm died a few months ago). Because of my work it's inconvenient to have a phone with a camera so the i730 seemed a logical combination of PDA and phone features. It is a Windows machine so I did expect some difficulties (Mac person's perspective). However, my most precious feature, the voice dial, had problems. VoiceSignal software that is used on the i730 was supposed to work like the one on my old A610 by allowing voice dial to be initiated when pushing the button on the headset. With the A610, it was a corded headset, but the i730 with a Bluetooth headset didn't function right (Jabra BT500). Couldn't initiate voice dial with the headset button or do any other functions with it. Couldn't even get sound through the headset! Verizon folks just don't sell enough of these things to have 'experts', even on the phone. Samsung wasn't much better, saying that I should try another bluetooth headset (already tried that). Jabra said it was a problem with the phone and to ignore their own website that said none of the Jabras were compatible with the i730. AARRRGGHHH!!!
2-0 out of 5 stars Great PDA, but a bad phone!!!
I couldn't wait for this phone to come out and then to actually get it after seeing it reviewed at CES last year.I was hoping that it was the answer to the ultimate coverged device.Well it only lives up to it half way.As a PDA, it's hard to beat.It does everything you'd expect of a PDA and the interface is great. Also, you can install lots of helpful software on it to make you more productive. Now the bad part, the phone flat out stinks.I had a Samsung all digital phone on the Verizon service before this one and it was much better. The i730 phone cannot hold a signal for very long.On my hour commute I drop the call on average about 10 times, when before I knew there were one or two spots that I might drop the call due to a weak area. It's not just this physical phone because I had it replaced with a brand new one from Verizon.Same thing, crappy reception and constantly drops calls. To make it worse the phone (or software) turns itself off periodically. You think the phone is on, but when you go to use it you find out it's not working and requires a soft reset. Also, when in this state people are calling and it's going right to v-mail.I asked Verizon about this and no good answers. Finally, after 8 months of frustration I switched to the new Blackberry 8700 on Cingular.WOW!!!The phone is so much better - crystal clear, hardly ever drops a call and I haven't had to reset it once in about 2 months. The interface takes some getting used to but I will never go back to the Samsung i730. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Not a good phone
This phone is very hard to hear when it's ringing. I tried downloading a new ringer thinking it my be better but it sounded awful and not any louder. The phone does not hold a charge, I'm charging it very other day, and bought a phone car charger becuase it is always dead. This is just an emergency phone rarely used, I'm still working on the minutes I bought last year. T mobile does offer a great deal on minutes. I bought $100 card last year, minutes good for one year, I still had 800 minutes at the end of the year, bought a $10 card right before my minutes expired and all my minutes rolled over for another year! What a great deal!!! Just don't buy this phone, but use t mobile service.

1-0 out of 5 stars This is junk
This is a horrible phone!
1-0 out of 5 stars For the love of God, DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!!!If i could give a phone NEGATIVE STARS . . .
If I could give a phone negative starts, I would give this phone -100. I "upgraded" to this phone over a year ago. Worked fine for about 6 months. Then it started short-circuiting on me. It kept, yes, turning off on its own whenever it felt like it. Very annoying when you have check your phone every other minute to make sure it is turned out. And this was no due to abuse because I am very careful with my phones and never dropped it once. After about a week it was turning itself off literally every 5 minutes. THEN, it wouldn't let me dial or make phone calls. And then if that wasn't enough, it wouldn't let me answer incoming calls. Then the screen starting freezing up. I had a warranty with T-mobile so they sent me a new phone - same exact style unfortunately. This time it took only 3 weeks before it was once again shutting itself off every few minutes, not letting me dial out or receive phone calls. Once again I had to exchange it, uncer warranty, for the exact same type of phone. This phone only took a week to crap out on me. I went down to T-mobile to try to get them to give me a phone - any phone other phone - besides another one of this style. They said I had to wait until a full year after I "upgraded" to this piece of crap. Of note, the minute I showed the cust. service rep the phone, he laughed and said saracastically, "So how do you like your phone?" He also told me they stopped selling it ages ago because of all the returns on it. In 10 months I went through 7 of these phones. Please, for the love of God, Do NOT buy this piece of crap! ANY OTHER PHONE WOULD BE BETTER THAN THIS! Also of note, the ringer is very, very quiet - even at the loudest setting. So if you actually want to hear it ring, do not ever listen to any music (even quiet music) or watch TV or go shopping or to any public place because if you can't hear a pin drop, you definaely will not hear this phone ring. After this phone I went out and bought the old NOKIA 6010 (...)it actually works! And you can hear it ring! Sure it looks ancient and isn't a cool flip-phone, but at leat it actually works!

4-0 out of 5 stars I love this phone...
...and the only reason I didn't give it five stars is because I HATE Sprint and am switching to T-Mobile (I shed a tear as I say goodbye to my Sanyo).I originally had the red version, and it did die unexpedidly. It started shutting off on its own, and one day it just wouldn't turn back on (lost all of my numbers, which was crummy). But Sprint replaced it with the silver one (which was, admittedly, a let down).Honestly, I think my first one was maybe just a lemon because I have had NO problems with this one, so in spite of the problems with the original phone I would still highly suggest purchasing this phone (as long as you're set on Sprint).
5-0 out of 5 stars Durable:my dad ranover with his car and it still works great
I love this phone. This is defitnly one of sprint's best phones.
2-0 out of 5 stars Loved This Phone
I purchased this phone around 8/2005 in blue. Coming from the sanyo 8100 this phone's camera w/ built in flash was certainly and upgrade. This phone is full of bells and whistles like the walkie talkie, media player, speaker phone, ability to set the videos you take as video ring players and changeable accent plates. But after owning this phone for about six months the phone started acting like it needed an exorcist. REALLY NOW! The phone would start taking pictures on its own, the voice memo would come on on it own, the camcorder. The phone wouldn't allow me to make phone calls and the weirdness goes on. After a struggle I finally got Best Buy to do what they were suppose to do and send me a new phone under the extended warranty agreement that I purcahased. But they sent me a freaking silver phone which looked too much like the old Sany 8100 I had previously owned and all the other silver flip phones on the market. I became disenchanted with the phone and then it got stolen. Only to find out months later that it was my own freakin beloved niece who stole it from me. After getting my phone back I realized a gliche in the silver one. After deleting a text message it would always reappear. i deleted this particular text message several times and even all the text messages and after a while it always comes back. These phones cost fortunes but they are full of crap. ... Read more
