4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Edition
I've used, and enjoyed, the normal form-factor BBs, and at upgrade time I was torn between the 8700 and the 7100g.While the email capabililty is a must, I'd grown tired of talking into what appeared to be a calculator.Besides the bulky ergonomics, I couldn't get past the idea that my voice just couldn't reach the microphone with the older form-factor (7290, etc...).
1-0 out of 5 stars Blackberry 7100
Reception is horrible... Very hard to hear a conversation unless you have the bluetooth...
1-0 out of 5 stars Frustratingly subpar device
Consistently dropped called, extermely poor reception (in areas where other blackberries work perfectly fine), horrendous ear-and-mouth-piece for both listening and speaking into, flawed flawed flawed performance...I mean I can't even use call waiting without dropping both lines. The half-QWERTY keypad is alright but you might want to go for the full keypad...otherwise it beats the purpose of having a blackberry. Address book maintence is poorer than a standard cell phone. I can't short-cut add a number into my addressbook without copying/pasting the number into my address book explictly. Overall...stay away from this piece of junk, wait a couple of months and shell some money for the Motorola Q (the RazorBerry). ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars It's a one-year throwaway phone
If I had reviewed this phone within the first few months of getting it, I would have given it a very positive writeup. It's compact, ergonomically well-designed, and it performs well in terms of signal sensitivity and sound clarity. It was fun adding a few new ringtones (though there is not a whole lot of choice available for this model), and the removable, changeable face plates made customizing the phone possible.
4-0 out of 5 stars A great phone if you want just a phone.
I got this phone as part of an employee discount program my husband's company had, and I was able to choose from about a dozen phones. In the past I have worked where camera phones are not permitted at the place of employment, so I wanted to get "just a phone" without all of the extra goodies in case I worked again at a similar employer.
2-0 out of 5 stars buy something else. not worth it
i've had this phone for a year now. it was my first phone. the first 6 monthes was great. until the reception started to die down and would drop my calls half the time. then the battery life started to go as well. the battery used to last up to 4-5 days.Im not so shore about the looks either. it was too simple for me. I just want something that has better looks, and more options kike get it now ringtones. i strongly suggest the nokia 6236i. my friend has it and he's very satisfied with the looks, signal, and battery life. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars T-Mobile the wost service ever!
I've had the SideKick2 for about a year now and the phone it self may be OK, The calinder, and all that work OK, but the T-Mobile service is the worst ever!
5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Device with Some Major Problems
I am 14 years old and I just got a sidekick 3 as a reward frommy parents for getting into an advanced math program. They had some overall doubts that it was dangerous for a child of my age to handle such an item as i could misuse it without their knowledge.I agree with the man a few reviews down that parents should be worried about this device as internet predators and myspace predators are out there. That is why i recomend sitting down with your child and discussing the dangers of having such a device with them.If you notice that they understand the dangers, I would reccomend at least considering buying it.However, thoroughly make sure that they understand the dangers because the more I am using this device (which is limited because of my studies) I am recognizing that this device can do pretty much as much as a laptop with a few exceptions being that it cannot handle all applications and some other things.
4-0 out of 5 stars T-Mobile Sucks
I use to be a t-mobile costumer until they started charging me for changes i made to my plan that they didn't change.I called costumer service and they gave me the run around.I had two lines and changed one of the planes to a emergency plan for 100 mins a month. It was suppose to be changed at the end of the pay cycle.Low and be hold i get a bill for over 1,000 dollars. I'm like WTF. I call them and they say they changed my plan an hour after i called them to change it to an emergency plan. I was so mad because it was soppose to be changed at the end of the month taht was the agreement with there costumer service. I've been trying to get them to drop the overage charges but they say it is my fault for chabging my plan. That is not the only problem i had with changing my plan this has happened befor ewith them. Finnaly i got tired of them and went to cingular which costumer service is best. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars i560 is JUNK - 3 Phones BROKE in only 3 Months!
I purchased 2 i560 phones - one for me and one for my husband.Brand new out of the box, 1 of them had a bad microphone (you could hear the person talking, but they couldn't hear you).Nextel & Motorolla wanted me to send the phone in for repair and be without it for 15 days - but I raised a stink and finally got it replaced (since it was broke from day 1, I didn't want a "serviced" phone).
1-0 out of 5 stars Rugged? NOT!
I bought this phone at the same time I bought the i870. I've dropped my i870 a couple of times and it's fine. My husband dropped the "rugged" phone once and the antenna, which sticks out like a thumb, snapped off.

4-0 out of 5 stars BES makes a huge difference
The 7290 is a great choice model if you need a Blackberry. I love having my blackberry synchronizing with our Blackberry Enterprise Server, that way i am fully in synch with my Outlook.
5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome - exceeded expectations and won't be replacing with other models
I am an attorney and I purchased this a couple of months ago and it is excellent.I receive e-mails instantly, receive clear reception when placing and receiving phone calls.Plus, with blue tooth technology, I can just place the phone into my blackberry stand or leave it in my purse and still talk instead of holding the blackberry to my ear.I looked at some of the newer models but was not impressed. The 8700 series has a few more amenities;however, the keyboard is smaller and to me the 7290 is more asthetically pleasing. . . what can I say, I'm a woman.I needed the blackberry for phone service, e-mail, the internet and calendaring.I have a computer at home and at work so didn't need to do anything "major" with this device and it serves, if not exceeds its purpose.
5-0 out of 5 stars Best phone I've owned so far...
I've own many phones in the past. So far, this one has topped them off! I didn't want a camara, mp3 player (or other "kid stuff"), but a phone that would do three things: 1.) Be a phone; 2.) eMail; 3.) Calendar and applications that would sync with my Mac in an easy and non-confusing way. I got it! ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars katana
I got this as a gift, its too thin for me. I"m not into the credit card sized phones.Picture quality sucks, its hard to manage it.the menu buttons are inconviently placed, such as the My content and the address icon should have been switched around for better handling.its such a hassle to plug in the earpiece plus the connector to the phone!

4-0 out of 5 stars Hot Phone, simple, cute
I really like this phone..its cute, its little, its perfect for a young woman.I had a pocket pc prior to this and it was so complicated just making a call.I wanted something simple, that wasn't an mp3 player (i have an ipod), that wasn't a professional camera (i have a nice digital cam), or a pda (i have a palm tx)... its just simple and cute.
3-0 out of 5 stars Kantana Pink
I've been a sprint customer for over three years and have owned three sanyo phones; Sanyo 8100, Sanyo 8300, and the Kantana. If you're coming from a mulitimedia phone like the Sanyo 8300, the SCP-6600 Katana may be a bit of a disappointment to you. The Katana just doesn't have all of the bells and whistles as a multimedia phone. The Katana has no built in flash which is needed for taking half decent pictures with a camera phone. It also has no camcorder or media player. But then again its not suppose to. It's basically an attempt by sprint and Sanyo to satisfy the consumer cravings for the popular RAZR phones that are available through wireless carriers like Cingular, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Cricket and a few others. It's obvious by looking at the Katana that it was inspire by the Razr, which does not have MM functions either. On a feature note I would have to give the Katana a one besides doing the simple things like making phone calls and downloading ringers and screen savers there's just not much more you can do on it. Aesthetically the Katana is not that much of a beaut. However, it is for the time being a bit different looking so for (except when compared to the RAZR) that I'd give it a four. For the lack of a decent camera and camcorder I have to deduct two more points which brings rating down to three stars. Oh for those of you who are interested in bluetooth the phone is bluetooth capable. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Motorola V171 phone (NET 10)
I've been a Net 10 customer for a year now.I have a few minor complaints....I cannot download ringtones in my area and I had to reactivate my voice mail as T-Mobile voice message system hijacked my phone and I was unable to retrieve my voice mail messages.Receivers of my phones calls say I cut in and out even though I hear them crystal clear. For the price, I shouldn't complain.I do not use it often so it is nice to carry over my unused minutes. If I had to do over, I would not purchase this flip phone. It feels like the phone is going to break in half everytime I open it, its not very stable.Customer service is OK but it needs to be 24/7.Overall, I am somewhat satisfied.

1-0 out of 5 stars Angry at HP
My joystick fell off two weeks ago, sent the unit to HP telling them in advance the problem on my 6515 phone, clerk said to send it in on warranty. Got phoned back by HP, they told me they cannot repair the unit they offered a swap and wanted to charge me 303$ (excessive). I paid the unit 400$ on ebay, I tried to discuss the issue with a corporate office sales relation person in Canada and they say I had misused it. I have had 3 ipaqs in the last 8 years a 3660, a 3955 wich I still own, I know how much pressure to apply to an Ipaq button... had a problem once with the stylus button on my 3660, Compaq had at that time happily repaired it at no charge, things have changeg since HP took their business. I discussed this with the corporate office telling them this issue is frequently related on the internet. On one site a guy had a 6515 with cingular, he had had four replacements because of the same problem. Even in their own forum site this problem is refered to. An ebay seller is offerring a replacement button fo 24$, HP told me to buy it from them, can you believe that? On top of all that they said to me I had to pay an evaluation fee of 67$, told thew I did not want to pay... They replied they would send this to a collection agency if I did not pay within 90 days. My guess is this issue would cost too much to HP to recall deffective units so they prefer to abuse their custemors by telling them it's misuse... I plan to take them to small claims court and post this comment on as many sites as possible starting here. Good luck!

1-0 out of 5 stars Bad recieve audio
We got two of these with our service upgrade from Verizon. They have terrible audio. It chopps off the leading edge of words and sometime drops out to the point that a conversation is nearly impossible. Verizon reloaded the software, no improvement. I talked to Samsung and got, send it back for a minimum 15 day turn around and we'll see what we can do about it. This phone has a serious bug in the software. Do not buy a Samsung SCH-A630, it's a piece of junk. By the way, one phone in our upgrade was a Motorola, it works fine.

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this phone!
The processer is slow, so the phone has to think everytime you do something.... imagine scrolling down the address book and the phone taking time to respond to each time you push the scroll down button. That is just an example of how slow its processor speed is. The camera is of extremely poor quality, which makes it virtually useless. I've had the phone only 4 months and it's starting to drop calls frequently... so I called LG and their solution is to have me mail my phone to them, and in 3-4 weeks they will let me know if they will fix it for free or if I have to pay to have it fixed. In this day and age, most people can't conduct business without their cell phone... especially for 3-4 weeks. LG's policy repair is prohibitive, and the phone is substandard. Don't buy this phone!

2-0 out of 5 stars Fine at first, not so fine after 6 months.
I had this phone given to me about 6 months ago and I could almost not be more disappointed. In the beginning of my ownership, here's what I experienced.
5-0 out of 5 stars I like the LG 225
Mine is Red and I like the color.I like the sound quality and ringers. It is easier to hear the ringers than on the Samsung I had before. It also seems to get better reception than the Samsung even though it has an internal antenna, which I also like a lot.

5-0 out of 5 stars Doesn't anyone use a phone JUST for a phone?
I bought this phone and a prepaid plan to replace years of monthly service with Cingular.I've not had any problems with this phone/plan as I had with Cingular, i.e.hearing, connecting, dropped calls.Maybe it was the phone, as Cingular claims.I don't use, need or want texting, IM, e:mail and whatever else this phone may feature because I just want to make or receive a normal phone call.My daughter loves the camera and downloading ringtones but they are not requirements for me. I have not had any problems with memory loss or not enough memory with this phone and have no idea why a phone needs so much memory.I don't know or care to have 500 names in a phone book.I don't live on the phone, it's not permanently attached to my head and I don't live for my phone. In my opinion prepaids are by far less expensive than monthly plans. For $100 a year, I'm just wondering how I am going to use 1000 minutes!

2-0 out of 5 stars Great while it works
I have a love/hate relationship with this phone:

My tracfone has worked out good so far. Customer service is fine and the free voicemail was easy to set up and use. If you decide to get a tracfone, please email me for a quick referral before activating it- we each will get 120 free minutes from the 'refer a friend' program. I'll also send you the simple instructions to follow. I've used Tracfone for quite a while, so i should be able to answer any questions you might have.

5-0 out of 5 stars I've never had any problems...
This is the first cell phone I've ever owned but as far as I can tell it is perfect!I have never had a problem myself even after a year and a half of use.My brother has even washed his a few times and it still works...Overall though, good phone.Wouldn't say it's worth it to get internet on it, very limited.Camera/camcorder are pretty good, but videos can only be 30 seconds long.As far as call quality goes though, it's perfect.I love my phone!

1-0 out of 5 stars crap phone
im getting a way better phone the sanyo 7400 thats a realy good
1-0 out of 5 stars Total Waste!
This is the worst phone I have ever come across. I love Samsung phones but this phone is is awful. Softare keeps crashing and screen gets fuzzy/overlaps. I took this phone back to Sprint and the new phone is acting the same way. I thought maybe first phone was bad but once again second phone is falling apart. On top of that: My father has similar phone and it is doing the same thing. I wasted 250 dollars on this piece of crap.

5-0 out of 5 stars I love the phone and service!
I love my Nextel i530.Purchased it almost a year ago now.I am in northern Ohio and travel many places around the state. No matter where I have gone, and I take my phone everywhere with me, I have yet to find a place where my phone doesn't have Nextel service. Also, very durable phone.I live on a farm here, and we use the two-way often to communicate. My phone in particular has been dropped several times, once off a grain bin onto concrete 35 feet below, and once also driven over by four wheeler in mud.Still works like new.I am extremely happy with Nextel's service and phones.I know several other people with different model Nextel phones and also can't complain.I would definitely recommend Nextel over Verizon, Alltel, Cingular, and Sprint.Other companies have such cheap phones it seems. It's a shame that Sprint and Nextel merged - from my experience with Sprint, they are terrible with no service anywhere, and their phones suck too.

4-0 out of 5 stars Dependable and Durable
I have used the i530 for a little over two years and have had no problems with the unit, or with NEXTEL's service. To simplify your reading, here is a list of pros and cons.
