4-0 out of 5 stars Great secondary phone
I had a relative visiting from abroad and wanted to provide them with a temporary phone. Tracfone serves well under these situation. I wouldn't boast of its reception ability but will say with confidence that it performs sufficiently well as a side phone. This is a good service if you barely use your phone or desire to be contract free.
5-0 out of 5 stars info.
My tracfone has good reception. i like that it has free call waiting and free caller id. if you haven't activated your tracfone yet then the 'refer a friend program' will give each of us 120 free minutes. please send me an email and i will send you a fast referral( i check my email often). it's a win/win! thank you.

5-0 out of 5 stars review..
My tracfone has worked out good so far. Customer service is fine and the free voicemail was easy to set up and use. If you decide to get a tracfone, please email me for a quick referral before activating it- we each will get 120 free minutes from the 'refer a friend' program. I'll also send you the simple instructions to follow. I've used Tracfone for quite a while, so i should be able to answer any questions you might have.

1-0 out of 5 stars Help
If you bay any Blackbery device you also buy a problem. This is good if you make no change and only use to send mails. They do not provide online help or a mail account to make questions. The Desktop software has pour logic and usually makes what is not expected. The help always referrer to the Administrator or to the manual! So, what happen if you would like to do something by your self? Probably you have to spend lot of time reading the whole book. What happen if you do not have an administrator? This shows you the lake of respect for the costumers. This is definitely not a company oriented to final customers, their target is B2B, and so you have to be careful.

1-0 out of 5 stars And these guys set the standard?!?!
Rather than write a typical review, I'll simply print my letter to RIM, the makers of Blackberry:
1-0 out of 5 stars Worst customer services
T-mobile has the worst customer services. Sometimes, It is the company's mistake and they still blame it on the customer. Since I started my plan, I had a problem reciving my bill on time. So, the company start charging me $5 late fee for four consecutive months. Also, when I tried adding additional features such as their text-message-bundle, the change on the account did not take effect till two days later, and I was charged for 10 cents for each message I used in these two days, and It costed me an additional $4. Every time I tried complaining to their customer services, they just wouldn't listen. I am starting to get the feeling that they are just trying to maximize their profit. More than once, if I stay long-enough on the line, they put me on mute so they don't have to listen to my complaining. I feeling that I am being treated like dirt not like a customer. I had the worst customer-services experience with t-mobile. Also, the reception is not the best in the country. I had friends who were using the same phone as the one I have but different network, and they were getting services in places where I don't have it, and they pay about the same amount of money. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Do Not Buy This!!!!!!
This is not a good phone. Please do not get this phone for kids over seven. I had one, and I was made fun of, and it is very easy to lose. I am 11, and in middle school, and no one ever wants to even look at it, while kids with normal phones can bring thyem out anytome without being made fun of. I would give this phone 0 stars if i could.

1-0 out of 5 stars Firefly BAD for Kids' Emergency Phone!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Purchased For Six Year Old
I think this is a great learning phone for a child, It is easily programmed with no instuctions. I was able to pop a t-mobile prepaid sim card in and it worked with no problems. If a number is not preprogrammed by you then your child cannot receive the call, thus eliminating unwanted calls. Someone else did not like the male/female keys but i think they are perfect for distinguishing between mom and dad and make it easier for the child to contact one or the other in the event of an emergency. The screen can also be programmed a certain color when mom or dad call so that the child can recognize whose calling by color also. One thing i would like to note as it took several calls to figure out, the talk volume is set very high to begin with, you need to have an active call on the phone in order to set the talk volume with the buttons on the side of the phone, otherwise you will just be adjusting the ring volume, also be sure to save at the time of adjustment. It looks like a toy phone, but works great, so i think 6-8 is probably a good age for this phone. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars It seems to work well for everyone else
Maybe we're just really hard on our phones, but my mother and I both had problems with this phone. My mothers phone suddenly started dropping a lot of calls, the screen broke and one day a huge, spreading crack appeared in it.She swears she never dropped it, what started out looking like a minor scratch ended up breaking the phone nearly in half. Our warranty covered it and she got a new phone, the same model. She hasnt had any problems with the new one yet.

This replaced my V180 which would freeze overnight. The front display would keep the time it stopped working. RadioShack-$18 activation + tax with contract renewal.

Bought the v557 about 5 months ago from Cingular's website and overall very pleased.A great no-nonsense make-and-take calls cell phone.

1-0 out of 5 stars This phone is a POS
I got this phone because I lost my old Nokia phone and was told that is is very durable. Anyway, my first one died within the 30 days period and I was able to trade it in the store. The next one lasted about 5 months and now I am using the one my father-in -law refused to use. It loses the network, I don't get my voicemails, can't IM anymore, and to top it of it only works when plugged in. Three of these POS later I am not even going to send it in for a free replacement.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very durable
I didn't have much to add to the other reviews but I did want to say that my wife accidently ran the X495 through a complete cycle in a washing machine. After drying it out with a hair dryer and letting it sit for a couple of hours we recharged it and it worked like new.
2-0 out of 5 stars Decent call sound quality, other stuff is lacking
If you just want a phone to make calls, this one is acceptable. The speaker lacks low frequency sound, but it's pretty clear overall. But Samsung added a bunch of other features, none of which work very well. Don't buy this phone if you are counting on those extra features.

2-0 out of 5 stars Just looks fancy, other than that...
I got this phone basically for free, but even taking that into account, I'm pretty disappointed with the phone. This is my first Samsung and, I'm pretty sure, my last one! I owned a Nokia before and I regret that I "betrayed" it. From now I wouldn't get anything besides Nokia and in the worst case maybe Sony-Ericsson.
1-0 out of 5 stars Lousy Lousy Lousy
I can't believe that with technology as advanced as it is, Samsung could produce this giant POS. It's flashy, yes. But does it deliver?? No. I actually refused to pay the bill and let them shut my service off. I loved the clarity of the pictures, even though the 1 megapixel camera was pretty lousy, and I even liked the video feature. But the phone is only good IF YOU CAN USE IT!!! It's been years since I've had such lousy reception from a phone. I'm considering taking the dealer to court over this, since they pushed it on me and told me what a great phone it was. I want my money back!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Total Waste of Time
Has to be the worst phone I have ever had to pay for.Between the missing features (no voice dial on a $200 phone?!) crippled features (I have to buy ringtones, use their t-zone for the WAP when I have the unlimited internet service already?) and poor reception and terrible battery life it has almost made me want to pay the early cancellation fee and find another carrier.Anyone who would charge some much for this POS really doesn't deserve my business. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars not as advertised
I've gone through about five of these phones in the past 18 months. The phone is supposed to have about 10 days of standby (if not used and kept on)and a few hours of talk time. For about a month, I got about a quarter of what was promised, now, I need to charge it every day (gone through 3 batteries.)Get this thing anywhere near moisture, I'm talking about humid days, or even if your packet gets damp from a little rain, and the phone happens to be in it, and it starts going bonkers.
5-0 out of 5 stars good phone
I have had this phone for over a year and have no real issues with it.It still works great. The battery sometimes dies quicker than usual (dont know why)but most of the time it works great.Other people have borrowed my phone and saythat they love it.The screen is clear and readable and the sound quality is better than the phones that they have.Have dropped it many times and nothing has happened to it, it is pretty durable.

2-0 out of 5 stars Phone discharges Battery
After we had the phone for about 9 months, it started discharging battery pretty quickly. When I got it, a full charge used to last almost a week and now it hardly lasts one day. First visit to Verizon store was a very bad experience. The manager was very rude and said that they can't help me since I did not buy the phone at a Verizon store (I bought it online at an authorized reseller). Assuming the problem to be battery, I replaced with a new battery. Same battery discharge on both of our phones even with new battery. Another call to Verizon and another trip to their store (a different one) resulted in the phones being replaced. It's 3 days now with the replaced phones (and the old batteries) and it's holding up...I'm hoping I don't see any more problems till my 2 yr contract ends...I'll Never buy another Motorola phone (prior to this we had a V600 and that too had the same battery problem) ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Great interface, but little resistance to damage.
I had this phone for a month and I loved it. It is easy to use and small. The interface is simple and can easily be understood without an instruction manual. It doesn't however have good resistance to water damage.I used the phone after a work out and the sweat from my face was enough to permanently damage the phone.

5-0 out of 5 stars Samsung phones are "solid" racking up Vegas award shows
This phone has color so you can find it...a v good ear piece-hands free/okay speaker phone...but my fave is a window w/ date/time...day of week..hehe...for me...I love it!
5-0 out of 5 stars Cute phone!
I just got this phone for free with my T-mobile family plan. it's a really cute phone - small, pretty and very light. it's a really basic phone with no camera, but with features you'll need (calculators, alarms, to-do list, unit conversion, etc). The ringtones that came with it is pretty nice, not too cheesy or too complicated. I also like the red color of this phone. It's different than anything else I've seen. The battery life is average. I charge the phone every three days or so, and I use it maybe an hour every day. Reception signal is also average, the same as other phones.

5-0 out of 5 stars increadible device
I'll make this real quick.I travel a ton with my laptop glued to me, and this phone (thanks to EVO) is my modem.I'll use it all day as a modem and never get disconnected. The speed is almost as good as DSL, and I'll frequently download 100MB+ files from the internet using the PHONE!It's just increabile as bascially a constant broadband connection to the web. Also great for reading/replying to mail on the fly.Synch is super fast. Not a bad phone either.Sound is excellent and rarely get dropped calls. In fact I did a 4 hour conference call from Oxford Wisconsin (middle of nowhere) recently.Couldn't believe it actually worked there, let alone stayed connected for 4 hours.Speaker phone is great. Downsides are the keys are a little small, speed dial could be a little easier, and the bluetooth has given me some problems (but I never looked into it).Regardless, this is the best device/gadget/whatever I've ever bought -- hands down!My wife absolutely hates it because its now glued to my hand.

3-0 out of 5 stars Has Bluetooth Issues out of the box that can be solved
I am a big fan of the voice dialing software that's on the higher-end Samsungs. I was eligible for an upgrade from my A610 and was looking to get a PDA phone to kill two birds with one stone (my Palm died a few months ago). Because of my work it's inconvenient to have a phone with a camera so the i730 seemed a logical combination of PDA and phone features. It is a Windows machine so I did expect some difficulties (Mac person's perspective). However, my most precious feature, the voice dial, had problems. VoiceSignal software that is used on the i730 was supposed to work like the one on my old A610 by allowing voice dial to be initiated when pushing the button on the headset. With the A610, it was a corded headset, but the i730 with a Bluetooth headset didn't function right (Jabra BT500). Couldn't initiate voice dial with the headset button or do any other functions with it. Couldn't even get sound through the headset! Verizon folks just don't sell enough of these things to have 'experts', even on the phone. Samsung wasn't much better, saying that I should try another bluetooth headset (already tried that). Jabra said it was a problem with the phone and to ignore their own website that said none of the Jabras were compatible with the i730. AARRRGGHHH!!!
2-0 out of 5 stars Great PDA, but a bad phone!!!
I couldn't wait for this phone to come out and then to actually get it after seeing it reviewed at CES last year.I was hoping that it was the answer to the ultimate coverged device.Well it only lives up to it half way.As a PDA, it's hard to beat.It does everything you'd expect of a PDA and the interface is great. Also, you can install lots of helpful software on it to make you more productive. Now the bad part, the phone flat out stinks.I had a Samsung all digital phone on the Verizon service before this one and it was much better. The i730 phone cannot hold a signal for very long.On my hour commute I drop the call on average about 10 times, when before I knew there were one or two spots that I might drop the call due to a weak area. It's not just this physical phone because I had it replaced with a brand new one from Verizon.Same thing, crappy reception and constantly drops calls. To make it worse the phone (or software) turns itself off periodically. You think the phone is on, but when you go to use it you find out it's not working and requires a soft reset. Also, when in this state people are calling and it's going right to v-mail.I asked Verizon about this and no good answers. Finally, after 8 months of frustration I switched to the new Blackberry 8700 on Cingular.WOW!!!The phone is so much better - crystal clear, hardly ever drops a call and I haven't had to reset it once in about 2 months. The interface takes some getting used to but I will never go back to the Samsung i730. ...
