4-0 out of 5 stars Decent phone
Overall this has been a good phone.I love the size and weight of the phone.I have had it for about a month now.I have had a couple things that I have not been as happy with. When a get a busy line, I most times get no busy signal at all or occassionally I get about three beeps that are barely audible. The caller busy display only stays up a couple seconds and is gone by the time I take the phone off my ear and it returns to the original screen. Many times I am unsure if my call has even gone through and I have to redial and look at my screen to see what is going on.At first, I thought it was dropping my calls.I have had a little trouble hearing people that I could hear perfectly fine on my last phone.Other than those two main problems, I would recommend this phone.

3-0 out of 5 stars NOT a slimmer version of the Motorola V551
I just got the C417 two days ago to replace a Motorola V551 I had that was dying on me.
4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent basic phone -- nice design, flawed software implementation
This is a well-designed basic phone that rivals the very popular RAZR in its slimline aesthetics at a fraction of the cost. The large (relative to the phone size) screen is bright and clear, keys are big and responsive. Reception has been excellent and sound quality crystal clear. The camera is a solid, workmanlike VGA tool that is easy to use. There is an instant messaging client (supports either Yahoo or AOL IM) and web browser, but no native email client. (You can set up the browser to access web-based email, though.)

5-0 out of 5 stars One phone has it all!
This is truly one phone in the market which has almost everything you could want in terms of features and new technology. It is a mini pda with bluetooth, Wi-fi, mp3 player and camera and they all work perfectly. You can use Wi-fi anywhere without subscribing to any additional services. You can sync your contacts, calender etc. using activesync which just takes seconds to install. I've also tried the Mp3 player by putting a 1 GB mini sd card in the phone and using the latest Windows media player and the activesync, downloading songs on the phone was a breeze and the quality is great. The battery life is very good considering all that this phone does. It is also fairly light and small with a very sharp display. The only con for me were the small buttons, but, I didn't want to take away a star for that because of the overall value of this phone. If you don't require afull fledged pda phone, you cannot go wrong with this one so give it a shot!

4-0 out of 5 stars takes a bit of getting used to, but overall a great phone
I was looking for a candybar phone only, and researched a great deal over this phone and compared it with the MDA.This phone takes a bit of time to get used to, especially with the keys, the keys are indeed quite very small but if you can get over that, you would really like this phone.

1-0 out of 5 stars Unimpressed
This phone is built of cheap shoddy materials. The center keypad is very tiny and difficult to use without hitting other buttons.

2-0 out of 5 stars Ringtones? Keypads?
Everyone seems like this phone but this phone doesn't fit for everyone's size. The phone is great for its small size but I have problems with keypads due to tiny size and awkward position and has its very limited capacities plus ringtones. It would not let me use its silent mode without making a sound when i set it for vibrate mode. I find it very dissappointing design and manipulating cost-effective prohibitiveness to the usefullness of messaging and web-browsing.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very good basic phone
There is a lot to like about this little plain phone. It gives great reception and excellent sound quality.Easy to use.Cheap.Its a good phone.Easy to slip into a pocket.

The wildly popular V330 is a tough act to follow, but the latest kid on the block, the V360, is a worthy successor, packed with features that make it the perfect complement to T-Mobile service. The V360 is smaller and lighter than the V330, plus it features a memory card slot for storing and playing music via an included music player application. You'll also get an internal antenna on this model, as well as a larger external screen-- two nice touches. Like the V330, this model also has Bluetooth, tri-band GSM compatibility, high-speed EDGE data, and a VGA camera with video capture.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Better than my old LG piece of junk
This is a good solid phone so far.Other reviewers are correct that you should invest the time to the read the manual. My biggest complaint that has not yet been addressed in the reviews is that the phone can only hold 30 text messages in its memory.Despite having something like five Meg of memory on the phone and a Micro SD memory card, that's it.The size of the text message doesn't seem to matter.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the most feature packed phones!
This is a great phone that I've used for a year now.I'd like to highlight the standout features that make this phone unique, especially at its price.
1-0 out of 5 stars THIS PHONE SUCKS ALONG WITH TMOBILE
I received my phone new from tmobileto find the keypadonly works occasionally at random. When I called customer service after much troubleshooting, they asked me if it ever worked and I said yes, sometimes but it doesn't work all of the time and it happens everyday and it is extremely inconvenient to me. They said they couldn't replace it b/c it works some of the time! Unbelievable bull****. I hate tmobile and their worthless piece of junk phone. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars it looks good
I wanted 4 major things in a phone: quad-band GSM (for international travel, and for flexibility with my soon-to-end contract), Bluetooth, a slim design for my pocket, and no camera. This is the only phone I could find that met all four criteria.
4-0 out of 5 stars Cheap Speaker/Bluetooth Phone
This phone was an upgrade from my Nokia 6010 (a very reliable phone, but that time had passed by).
3-0 out of 5 stars I agree, its a cool phone and all......

1-0 out of 5 stars print out your own rebate when you purchased
I purchased this phone on Amazon on Sep and saw $30 rebate when I purchased. After I got it, there is no any information on rebate and customer service said there is no rebate. It's very bad that I didn't print out the rebate form when I purchased. So I paid $67 for such a simple phone. So suggestions here is that print out the rebate form when you purchased and don't rely on the sellers for it. Hopefully this could be helpful

4-0 out of 5 stars Almost Perfect
This is my first cell phone. I avoided buying a cell phone for years. I find them (and the people who use them constantly) annoying. They seem to be used mostly as a distraction (probably because people are trying to use up their monthly minutes), though there is the occasional clueless individual that hasn't realized that every one has a cell phone now & that they're no longer a status symbol (but still has to make everyone around him aware that he's using one). To add to that, I've heard nothing but complaints (customer service, charges, reception) from everyone about their carrier (no matter who their carrier is). Because I need a land line for my DSL service, even a $29.99/mo. plan for a cell phone is too much for something I will only use occassionally. However, the number of occasions where I absolutely needed one has been growing. So I actually started to comparison shop, with the idea that I might buy one when the monthly charge comes down. Verizon seemed to get the best reception/customer service reviews, though they were also the most expensive. T-Mobile usually came in second. So, I happened to be looking in my Target circular one week, when I saw this phone was being given out free if you bought a $100 (1000 minutes) card (sale has expired, but maybe it'll be repeated?). So I ran to my store & am glad I did. This is definitely the best way to test if you would like a cell phone before deciding on a particular plan.
3-0 out of 5 stars VERY basic, inexpensive, great reception.Good sound quality.
The first thing I noticed about the phone was how thin and cheap the plastic is/feels.If I drop this phone I am fairly certain that it will crack on impact.Booooo!

5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect to a "T"-Blackberry 7105T Tops!
I have written many reviews on cell phones here on Amazon. I used to be a Nextel subscriber, but have been with Tmobile about six months.
2-0 out of 5 stars So - so phone, pretty good PDA
I've had the BB 7105 about 5 months now and am looking for a replacement already. I primarily got it for business purposes...ie syncing contacts and calender. Besides some error message issues that still haven't been resolved the microphone on this unit absolutely sucks. If you have ANY ambient background noise people on the other end have a really hard time understanding you. Not good for a business traveller.

2-0 out of 5 stars Yawn
I've had more cellphones than I have fingers.Yes I'm technologically literate and in my twenties.I bought this phone back in march/april.. loved it back then.Hate it now.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good GPS phone
This was the first phone with the GPS feature from Verizon. I got this phone solely for its GPS feature. The GPS feature works very well. Everything else about the phone is just plain vanilla.
2-0 out of 5 stars Good for the first month
I usually have no problems with minute annoyances at all. I'm not the one to complain about glitches or errors, but this phone is the worst phone that I have had in the last 5 years. I was really happy with this phone when I bought it. The camera was a huge step up from the free phone I got with the plan, and it was over all a better phone (and it still). That is if it ever gets around to working. I don't like to erase my text messages everyday so they pile up, this causes the phone to lag, a lot. When it first started lagging I would delete my messages (which takes about 10 mins if u have over 700 in the box which is annoying itself) and it would work fine, but now the phone has just slowed down in general. When I try to bring up my contacts it literally takes about 10 secs for them to load. Personally I don't like to wait 10 seconds just for a screen to come up on my phone. Now it has gotten to the point at which sometimes a message wont go through no matter how many times I try to resend it until I turn the phone on and off and then it goes through just fine. I understand not being able to send message because of the service but a phone should have nothing to do with it. Like I said, I was very happy with the phone when I first got it, and it if worked like it's supposed to my review would be different, unfortunately for this phone (and for me) it doesn't.

5-0 out of 5 stars easy and useful
I bought this phone for my Mom who is NOT technology savvy when she decided she wanted her 20-something kids all on the same network instead of different ones. Verizon was great about keeping all three of our numbers, which all three have different area codes, into a family share plan. They upgraded my brother's phone and my Mom's phone. My brother got a free phone, but Mom wanted something "prettier" so for 49.99 we chose this phone for her. She likes that it has a nice backdrop, easy to use, you can find things on it, and it has great reception. She works in a brick building with cement walls and that often means for people bad reception. She has great reception. She and my Dad live in a remote part of the state but this phone has never let her down. Her battery life is fantastic, the speakers work well, and she loves the fact that it isn't all metallic and slippery. She likes the larger window to show the time, and she has never had a problem with it freezing. 4 months later, it is still working out great for her. ... Read more
