3-0 out of 5 stars The Good the Bad and the Ugly
I got this phone with Verizon service. If you look at the features, it seems like a pretty impressive piece, but if you want to use it for other than just a phone, you have to deal with many shortcomings.

Editorial Review

Here's the latest contender in the race to build the thinnest, most stylish phone on the planet. In fact, the Samsung t509 is one of the skinniest phones money can buy, measuring just .39 inches thick, or 10 millimeters. Amazingly, this phone also happens to pack a lot of features into its svelte frame, including Bluetooth, a VGA camera, support for EDGE high speed data, a speakerphone, and more. It's a the perfect way to slim down and take advantage of T-Mobile service.Read more

  • Bluetooth ® wireless technology keeps you connected while your hands are free to attend to other important business.
  • With the intigrated VGA camera and video media player you not only have a built-in digital camera, it also has a zoom.
  • Tri-band gives you the freedom of making and receiving calls virtually anywhere in the country.
  • The built in Speakerphone is ideal for hosting meetings when you're working away from the office.

2-0 out of 5 stars God I wish it worked better
This is a sleek little phone that I wish so very much would work better.I had it for two weeks. Most of the time it worked fine, however, sometimes I would go to pick it up off the counter where it had been sitting for hours and it would give me an error if I tried to push any buttons or make any calls. It would need to be restarted before it stopped doing this.Other times the screen would just go bright white and stay that way until I powered down the phone.
1-0 out of 5 stars I HATE THIS PHONE!!!!
After going through 2 Razr phones T-mobile offered me this phone as a replacement and I took it cause my warranty on the Razr was almost up and I would get a year warrenty with the T509... you couldn't PAY me enough to keep this phone for an entire year!

Motorola's PEBL U6 is the second model in Motorola's high-end "four-letter word" line, following the super popular RAZR V3. The PEBL takes some of the same materials and technologies used in the RAZR and packages them into a completely different kind of clamshell handset. While the RAZR is all about thin, sharp angles, the PEBL is more about design, making use of soft curves and smooth lines throughout.

1-0 out of 5 stars BUYER BEWARE - Be Very Aware!
I will keep this review brief because every other review points out all of the very good, and very valid features of the 2125. In fact, I agree with just about every positive comment ever made - this is the best phone I have ever owned. EXCEPT FOR ONE VERY MAJOR DESIGN FLAW: When the keys are locked, two buttons remain active on the phone: The ANSWER key and the IGNORE key. These are the two soft buttons just under the screen. The problem is that these are the two highest buttons on the phone. So when a call comes in and the phone is in your pocket or in the included case, you inevitably end up pushing one of these two buttons in the process of trying to get it out of your pocket or out of the case. That means that the phone is not really locked at all! In fact, you almost always end up answering a call before you can even see who is calling. I have even unknowingly answered calls while the phone was still in its case! This translates into people hearing your private conversations without you even knowing that they are on the line.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great phone with great media features!
The Cingular 2125 is a Windows Mobile 2005 (WM5) Smartphone with Windows Media Player 10 and an excellent QVGA (240x320) screen. If you have Windows Media Player you can easily sync music and videos to the phone, if you have a Windows Media Center then you can sync television and movies which is handy for long flights. The phone supports "Flight Mode" which turns off the phone portion making it okay to use on a plane. This has been one of teh best phones I've owned, the email push works great if your company uses an Microsoft Exchange server, not as good but works very well is any POP3/SMTP server.
5-0 out of 5 stars Power button problem is now fixed.
I purchased this phone on July 1st. I was afraid the power button be hard to press, push, pull down or whatever, since I read many reviews complaining about it. When I checked with a store, it was really hard to. Despite that fact, I decided to purchase it and found it the power button is now changed!!!!

After all the hype, I decided to get a Razr. I was surprised that it wasn't cooler. I'm not sure what I expected it to do, but it's a phone, not a super hero.
5-0 out of 5 stars SIMPLY THE BEST
This is simply the best cellphone I have ever seen.It was a Father's Day gift for my son, and he is in love with the phone! When he lets me use the phone, I have been amazed. The speakerphone and ringer are so loud that I had to turn them down.I live in Miami, and my phone needed one of those universal antenna to get 3 or 4 bars signal. The RAZR gets 4 or 5 bars signal almost everytime, and I never lost a call or the signal anywhere. The phone is so slim that I have forgotten it was in my pocket, and it is going to take him months to learn ALL of its features! There are so many accessories, games and services for the V3 RAZR that I feel lucky for my son to have one WITHOUT having yet another monthly bill.Simply amazing phone... ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointment
One of the reasons I bought this phone was for the MP3 player. That was a mistake. After loading the player with music on a micro SD card, the player freezes after playing just one song and it has to be restarted. Also, the information about the song, (such astitle and genre) does not fully load.I have spent a lot of time tagging my music so it was frustrating when the player showed tagged songs as "unknown".Also, the player automatically loads up the "sprint store" every time you want to play music, which becomes annoying after a while.Funny, the features to buy music work great.Guess the priorities are clear.
5-0 out of 5 stars Nice phone.BUT you can't buy a battery for it anywhere!!!
Everything about this phone is great.Well, the FM feature is weak. The thing that really worries me is you can't buy another battery for it anywhere. What happens when the battery dies?

5-0 out of 5 stars Great phone
When I bought this phone recently, the Sprint salesman said, "the only thing that this phone can't do is fly."He's right.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great phone; no complaints except for headphone plug...
This is a very nice phone and does a lot of things. It is very small and easy to carry. It's a very practical phone for most people, although it does not sync to Outlook (I don't think anyway). The nice thing about this phone is that it's a good phone, first and foremost. Good reception, decent battery life. I like all the apps it can run, like Alarm Clock, and Calculator, Voice Memos. Have not used the voice recognition yet, but I just got a BT headset for use in the car, so I think I'll start using voice with that.
3-0 out of 5 stars Some design flaws; positive features not dicsussed here.
About the internal antenna. (This is an important point if you use the phone in areas with low signal levels.) The phone does not have a sticking-out antenna. In general, that's a bad sign: the signal reception may be worse. However, I compared the reception and signal levels to my older Motorola V66 (made in 2002) which has a sticking-out antenna, and Samsung was on par. After that, I decided not to return the phone.
1-0 out of 5 stars Good for Samsung, Bad for you
I bought this as a follow up to the Nokia 6600 that I had for two years. It was a great phone albeit a little bulky, but it was very reliable.

4-0 out of 5 stars better than my last phone, but could be better
If you want a phone that does a lot, don't get this one. When I was shopping for a new phone I wanted one that was small, loud, and vibrated strongly.I had a hard time hearing my old phone (a Samsung x427m) ring or feeling it vibrate in my purse.I wasn't looking for a phone that did a lot or had bluetooth. If you have the same requirements for a cell phone as I do, then this phone is a great option. It's small, it's loud, and it vibrates off the table.
1-0 out of 5 stars Buyer Beware!
Too good to be true?Yep!You CANNOT port another number to this service contract and if you change your service in any way, they will stick you with a $250 charge. If you don't care what phone # they give you, then go for it.If you are just trying to save a few bucks, don't bother.Time is more valuable than getting this mess straight!

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome for someone whose a kid at heart who wants everything. . .
I LOVE this phone. I got the Razr and didn't like it. . . so I was frustrated and like "just let me buy that little phone" while speaking to cingular. WELL, This is such a rad weird phone. The graphics are so fun and almost . . . french weird or something, there is a Clown that pops up when you want to take a picture. The online stuff works perfect, texting, downloading games, tones, etc. I love this phone. It's like super "japan" cute animation phone for the kid at heart. . . and I'm sure any teen would like it. 3-0 out of 5 stars Poor reception and sound quality
I had this phone not even for a full day and am returning it. Although its a great lightweight phone with a camera and flash, 95% of my calls had an echo and when the echo was not there the sound from both ends was muffled and distorted. Hubby has same phone and has same issues. I have had Verizon Wireless for 9+ years and find their service great..... with my old phone so I'm not buying anything new right now just sticking with what works. I would have given it less than 1 star but all the other features made for a nice phone and reception may be different for others.

5-0 out of 5 stars Highly functional phone without the extra fluff (long review with updated comments)
I was due for a New Every 2 upgrade with VerizonWireless and was interested in replacing my old LG VX4400 with a bluetooth phone (for wireless communication and connectivity).Being a bit oldschool, I do not care about video and music playback on my phone. As I often travel through areas with weak digital signal, I wanted to keep with a trimode phone for the analog fallback option. The two trimode bluetooth phones currently available for VZW were the LG VX5300 and the Samsung A870.As I had good luck with my previous LG phones, I decided to go with the VX5300.I got one for myself and another for my mom (replacing her old LG TM510).
1-0 out of 5 stars Bad headphone sound
Don't buy this phone!I love everything about this phone -- the voice-activated dialing, the servicable little camera... but the headset volume is so low, you can't hear anyone you're talking to if there's any ambient noise around you.I've tried this phone with a bluetooth headset and a hard-wired headset -- but on the highway, the volume is simply too low to hear anyone.I returned it to Verizon, and they gave me a new phone, but the same problem exists.A real shame, because other than that, it's a great little phone. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Easy to understand but I had a problem
I got this phone and it was easy for me to figure it out even though I've never had a flip phone. I went through the book and got everything set up.This said, my phone would only light up when someone called. I went in and reset all my tones. Finally I called Cingular and they had me call Nokia. Nokia said that there was something wrong with the Normal setting, it's where you can set it for normal, outdoors, meetings etc. I could either set it to outdoors and have the ringer turned down or return it or call Cingular and tell them what Nokia told me. I called Cingular and they had me ship it back and sent me a replacement. I liked everything about this phone except that it didn't ring or vibrate unless it was set to outdoors.

3-0 out of 5 stars A good phone...nothing less, nothing more.
This new phone which I bought through Cingular at a discount is good, but not great. The ONE thing I really don't like about this phone is the volume.I can barely hear someone on the other end.Even after turning the volume all the way up and turning the noise detection program on and off...still nothing. My Nokia 6010 was much better. The camera is okay, nothing great.Turning this thing on and off takes forever....much slower than my other Nokia, which was 3 years old.Yes, it has a radio, BUT you have to BUY a headset to be able to listen....rip off!

2-0 out of 5 stars Turns off & bad placement for PTT button
Got this phone for my husband and boy do I wish we'd picked another. He wears his phone on his belt and just the act of sitting down pushes the PTT button.I wish there were at least a way to disable it!
3-0 out of 5 stars Defective phone?
I got this phone in April of this year with the recommendation that it had superior reception. Well, wrong. It gets tenuous reception at best. What my real problem with this model is that it is just plain defective! I went through 4 separate phone with 4 separate problems. I finally petitioned cingular for a different phone. Other than that I was happy with the ease of use (I'm no techie) apperance.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Phone
I love this phone. I was thinking about getting a RAZR but my friend has one and they just fog up because they are so fancy. I saw this phone and I instantly wanted to get it. Except for if i am not using the built in push to talk, this makes the button on the side very annoying. Get ready for high-powered messaging, email, chat, and a whole lot more with the ingeniously designed Kyocera KX21 "Switchback." At first glance, the phone looks like just another candybar style handset. Flip it open, though, and you've got a QWERTY keyboard and a large internal display. Plus, features like a VGA camera, support for the wireless Internet, and a speakerphone make this phone far from ordinary. It's a great way to take advantage of all that Virgin Mobile prepaid service has to offer.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesum fone!!!!
I am 14 yrs old and I am about to get the switchback. I already tried out my friends it is so kewl. Full querty keyboard makes txting fast. Comes with AIM software and AOL mail 2!!! I have had 2 oystrs, one got a tiny bit of water on it and broke, that was stupid. Dont listen 2 that stupid lookout guy. R U KIDDING!!!! Virgin mobile service is amazing, no "hidden fees" Stores 500 contacts, great cuz i have a lot of friends, and plays superphonic ringtones(real music tones)not those stupid polyphonic 1s. At the moment it is only 130 bucks, great deal 4 what u get. The only thing that sucks is the ringtone prices, 2.50 a real music tone.:0 God. That really sucks. o yeah, it also has a camera, 2 megapixels which is decent 4 a camera fone, and a flashlight. I think the price will be down 2 100 soon. 2 bad it does not have a camcorder or a mp3 player. OVERALL, SWEET FONE GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Phone
I have this phone and it's great.Text messaging, which I do a lot of, is really easy, and now Virgin Mobile offers 1000 text messages for 9.99, so basically 1 penny for each text message.Coverage is perfect wherever I go, and I never have any problems picking up a signal because Virgin uses the Sprint network.

3-0 out of 5 stars about the "failed to send message" notices
that's a virgin mobile service problem, it's not the phone itself.my sister has a different phone with virgin mobile and she's experiencing the same problem, so is her bf who is also with virgin mobile and has a completely different phone.

With a VGA camera, a speakerphone, voice dialing, and support for Verizon Wireless' Mobile Web 2.0 services, the Nokia 6215i makes a great companion for calling, texting, and catching up on the latest news and weather. But the really big news about this phone is that it sports dual OLED screens, one on the outside and one on the inside. OLED screens are brighter and less power hungry than traditional LCD screens, giving you greater performance and battery life while you're out and about.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice Phone!
I've had this phone for about 3 days now. I got it to replace my old Samsung A530. Here are my thoughts:
3-0 out of 5 stars Agree with previous review re: software, possible way to get around it
Have had this phone for 36 hours (9/25/06)and am being told by Verizon I have to delete all 150+ of my stored numbers and start from scratch (I had an LG 7000 series which I never liked).Seems there is a software issue and there is no data on when it will be resolved. Phone makes a call from phone book but does not complete the call when your intended answers the phone.Speakerphone calling seems to negate this defect and if you press the speaker button when the person answers, it seems to work.Pressing it twice did get the phone to work but not the headset.Blue tooth headset (Moto H500)paired easily only it did'nt work through the speaker option I may have discovered. Looks like a nice phone, light, easy to use but decision is, is this worth the extra steps, reliable enough to function normally and then left to guess when the software fix is available and just "stop-in to Verizon"? Surely they aren't going to tell me when it's ready. Probably worth it to wait to buy this phone or choose another if you have tons of numbers to enter.Verizon should have known this, but I'm sure it's a great first time phone or if you don't have lots of numbers to transfer over.

3-0 out of 5 stars Flip (or not flip) for Nokia Flip
Well I decided that I liked the Nokia brand well enough to try their flip phone. However word has it this is not a true Nokia phone but Pan-tech.I haven't received it yet but my research shows that you also can NOT use the PC Suite software Nokia has for most of their phones.Aaargh.I do not want to re-enter all my phone numbers. Most likely this is because the phone is a Pan-tech.I likely won't keep it because of that but will update to let you know if it seems flimsy or not.

4-0 out of 5 stars Can't find anything better than a Nokia...
I have had 4 Nokia phones in the past and was looking for an upgrade on my 6010 that I've had for the last 3 years and was determined on getting something other than a Nokia this time around. After doing research on other phones, like Samsung and Motorola, I eventually bought another Nokia. I came pretty close to getting the Motorola RAZR, but the many negative reviews that I read combined with my brother-in-law saying that he would stay away from anything Motorola made me think twice about it. I have now had my 6103 for almost a month and I am happy with it. I haven't had any problems yet, such as scratching and breaking or any peeling of the rubber that other reviewers have mentioned. I have never had a flip phone before so durability was a concern. So far the only thing I have noticed is that the flip seems to get a little looser over time, likely from normal wear and tear.
5-0 out of 5 stars Another really good Nokia phone, as expected.
I think Nokia makes great phones, very reliable and durable. My last phone was a Nokia 6610 that I had for 2.5 years! While my friends with Motorolas and Samsungs had to shell out another $200 every year because their phones would break..... If you've had a Nokia before, the menus/features are similar pretty much. This one has a few extras: camera/video and Bluetooth. Had the phone for 2 weeks. Here's what I've observed thus far:
3-0 out of 5 stars it's okay but several negatives
Overall the phone is pretty good most of the time, the picture quality is fine and I love that feature, but I'm disappointed about the following:the outside material is peeling off (have only had it a few months, and I take good care of it) as other buyers have mentioned. When I want the ringer set to "silent", I have to go thru several steps rather than just one click as other phones can do.I also wish the back-light would stay on longer.I've had some dropped calls, especially when dialing. It wasn't easy finding a car charger for it, until I found out it can use the same one as for model 6102.Now I'm trying to find a case or cover to prevent the outside material from peeling more... ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Pretty Darn Good
Wow, I've never seen a product get so many mixed reviews.
4-0 out of 5 stars Unbiased review from muti-phone user
This is a very good phone. I've used phones by Nokia, Motorolla, Nextel, and now Samsung.I rate my old Nokia the best because it did what it was intended -- receive and make calls. It had no other features.I had a fancy Nextel that was too big and bulky and I had a Motorolla which I really didn't like. The Samsung a900 is very good. It's one drawback (after 6 months of use) is the battery, as many have said. You have to charge every night or nearly so.The other issues people have expressed are, in my experience, unfounded -- few dropped calls (compared with others), etc. I like the feel of the phone, too.Oh, and if you're considering other services, I rate T-Mobile the best.Sprint is OK.ATT was the worst. And Nextel was just OK.

5-0 out of 5 stars Blade!!
I absolutely love this phone, but ofcourse, I'm rather biased, seeing as how I'm using it's vibrate function for uses other than the intended.

5-0 out of 5 stars My phone!
I bought this phone last month and it is a really good phone. It's not too fancy and not too expensive, I'd definatly get this phone if you want something less expensive that works great!

3-0 out of 5 stars Good at start
When i first got this phone, i was really happy with it. i thought the features that came with it were great, and really worth the price. ofcourse, there comes a however: three days after i bought it, the camera has a major malfunction. everything i try to photograph (indoors/outdoors, day/night, white/black)comes out with a very annoying red tint. the pictures are all monotone. just red and white.
5-0 out of 5 stars Get rid of "Jason" and his razr ads
OK, this isn't a review. I'm just tired of running across "Jason" and his idiotic ads for a free Razr phone. I swear, he's posted his same ad for virtually every phone out there. I wish Amazon would take down his posts. ... Read more
